Spent 1h10min for an ok pedicure and a manicure that started at the 50min mark. Technician didn't even file my nails properly and left them pointy and scratchy as if a 5 year old did my nails. Very poor quality. I was late for an appointment and could not even get a color on my nails. Very disappointed in the poor quality of the service and the unapologetic behavior. Felt as though I was expected to sit and wait for an hour for a technician to show up to do my manicure. Some favorite clients get superior service while others get a terrible one. 1st time here. I usually drive over the hill to San Mateo as I live in Half Moon Bay but with a newborn baby and toddler it's tough. It was an okay experience... don't think I'll be back as I can't really justify $50 ($75 total) for a regular pedicure-- bleeding cuticles, okay polish job aside from my pinky that's already peeling/chipping less than 24hrs? and a heel file that I was forced to buy for $15??!! I called for a last minute appointment and was able to get in 20 mins later. Over the phone I was told regular pedicure start at $40, I was fine with that. 1hr and 15 minutes later, $50 for REGULAR polish pedicure, nothing fancy, no hot stones or hot towels that I usually get for $35 in San Mateo?! I don't understand why, no explanation when asked, instead being forced to buy a cheap plastic heel file for $15?! She said I needed it.. it was professional and I wouldn't be able to find it elsewhere? They were nice, service was good. I won't be back. I don't like not having an explanation of why my regular pedicure cost $50 and being forced to buy something. read more

Terrie was my manicurist and she did a great job. They take walk-ins but it's better to call ahead for a slot (thanks for squeezing me in!), the phone communication is very clear and prompt. Salon has a small parking lot outside, and is clean and well ventilated inside. I messed up my manicure as soon as I got in the car and Terrie was nice enough to fix my smudged nails as I pathetically came crawling back. Operated by Lisa and daughter Terrie, this salon is so friendly and the service is great. Their website has the prices listed. I wanted almond shaped nails, and Terrie was very honest over the phone that she would need to see if I had the length to do it, so I appreciated her evaluation and expertise. I had been a regular customer for 3 yrs and always tipped well. Usually when you book an appt, they always ask you to come earlier if you can. But then why book a specific time one wonders. My last appt I did come 15 mins earlier. Regardless 45 mins later, 30 mins later than my appt time, I was seated in a chair - waiting for another 15 mins before the male pedicurist loitered. It has been 2 week's since my visit, and every day since I have been telling myself to leave a review! I was visiting the area for the weekend and wanted to get a fill on my manicure. I called in and was was accepted right away. I had the pleasure of having Sonny be my manicurist. I normally do acrylics but they don't and he told me to do dip powder. I was hesitant because when I've done dip (myself) in the past it just didn't last....as you can see in the photo, not only did Sonny do an amazing job, but it has lasted 2 whole weeks!! I am a chef and constantly washing my hands, despite wearing gloves a lot. I made an appointment for one fill, two full sets and three pedicures. Half of this was barely accommodated. Lisa was very nice however, as she was doing my pedicure she kept cutting me making me bleed in three different places on my toes. My pedicure came out very clean but in fact very painful. A women name Teri helped my mom. My mother asked as soon as we enter if Teri would be able to give her nails an ombré full set. Teri said she could do it and after I saw what she attempted to do it was horrible! We wanted a simple pink to white ombré. She tried to do it with polish and a sponge. Than she tried to add glitter to "cover up the blotches" I told her that's not what my mother wanted. It looked so messy. (I should of took a picture of the hot mess) She told me she would charge $80 for an ombré. I told her my mother doesn't like what she did. That's not what she wanted so she took off the polish and painted one solid color.. proceeded to charge me $80 for this full set. The nails weren't even shaped the same. I would have appreciated honesty when I first asked if she could do a simple ombré. She didn't have dip powder and couldn't do it. I'm so disappointed. All the technicians did a horrible job with full sets. It's an old school salon that needs to get modernized and new polish to say the least. Honesty is the best policy, if a nail tech can't do the job; than be honest. It'll save us all time and money. read more

Two toned nail polish, no massage, bleeding cuticles, and she had to bring out extra tools to get all the nail polish off my cuticles. I was very happy they have set up an outdoor nail salon. It's such a treat during these times. I loved the way everything was set up. They made sure clients are comfortable while being outside. Everyone here are so sweet and you can tell they really care about the comfort of their clients. The only issue I had was the price. I paid $100 for just a mani/pedi with dip polish and regular polish on my toes! The manicure wasn't even a manicure. No soaking my fingers, no trimming of the cuticles, and no hand massage that usually comes with a manicure. When she first told me the price I thought she was joking so I asked again. She was serious. It was great service, but I find that extremely expensive for a mani/pedi, not $100 worth. They over call you "Sweetie" but then I realized they do this to Newbies (like me) and regulars they call by name, joke w/, tease and even make fun of. It is never empty, but hardly ever over crowded (I have yet to go on the weekend). People are always calling to make appointments. I only get Pedicures, so I have no other reviews but most due a good job. They lady I got tonight was a bit quick w/ the foot attention, but oh well if my toes look great. Pedi is $20. This is our 2nd time there... 1st time was about 2 years ago for a polish change that turned into about a 45 mins appointment. Thought we would give it another try. Was very accommodating that we were running a bit late due to a family emergency but I guess so were the owners because we arrived at the same time. So the timing just worked out perfectly. We were there for 2 hours for 1 pedicure and 2 gel manicure and one children's manicure. I'm a little puzzled how the children's manicure cost me $22 when all that was really done was paint the nails with a pretty pink color and glitter polish was added for my 9 year old. She loves it so I guess that's what counts. My other daughter is just feeling ok about her gel manicure. She stated that she picked one color from the samples and the color that she was polished is not what was on the sample swatch. She's still content with it but just ok about it. I really really want to give the location more stars. But this morning looking at my nails, I just can't. The polish has already started to chip at the cuticle bed, the gel is actually looking lumpy on my nails. Today I noticed I have a few cuts on my fingers, probably happened during the removal of the cuticles. A few nails are most certainly unevenly filed. One thing I do want to say was that the owner was very kind to let me leave the salon and go to the ATM to get Cash since they only take cash. I take lots of pride on how my nails look and I'm disappointed. don't think we will be returning just based on how sloppy the results look. read more

I burnt my hand holding a curling iron and she was very gentle but still managed to get all that cuticle and made my nails look incredibly nice.
