My mom contracted a SEVERE toe infection after visiting this salon in May. When I contacted Liz, the owner, in June, she denied any record of my mom's visit, claiming she checked the cameras and my mom wasn't there, which is a lie. Despite providing clear evidence, Liz refused to take responsibility, claiming I reported the issue too late and asked me to sign a liability waiver to get my $35 refund. They showed no empathy and denied my request for a refund because I refused to sign. I refused because the $35 doesn't even cover the cost of medication or doctor's visits. It's also not some sort of favor it's the least after giving her an infection. Despite providing all necessary proof, including showing them my mother's condition, they still refused to help. This incident raises serious safety concerns about this establishment. I strongly advise against visiting this salon due to their negligence, lack of accountability, disregard for customer health, and uncleanliness. read more

You know what really makes me upset? When my favorite small businesses have to close, not because of lack of customers, but because people that scam their hard work. I don't know if I can call myself a regular here but I have come more times than I can count and I've seen at least 2-3 cases of customers leaving after receiving their service and not paying. Sure, I agree to an extent that you should only pay for services rendered properly, however the audacity that people seem to have just completely blows my mind. Liz is a hardworking, patient, and honest business owner. Perhaps people have become complacent in the way they expect services to be done quickly without much thought, but Liz delivers high quality service without short cuts and is upfront about the way it will be provided. In other words, if you don't agree with her methods, then don't get the service because she isn't about to allow for you to get a half decent job, and if you do, then pay! The fact that I feel like I need to write a review to encourage future customers to pay is ridiculous. It took me a long time to find a nail salon that is respectful with my time and does a great job so I would be sad and upset if this establishment had to close because of entitled customers who think they can get a service without paying. read more

Terrible nails. I went in to get a manicure with acrylic nails and picked out a nude color. Liz told me the color was too nude and suggested I do a nude ombré. She then brought powders and began layering my nail with a pink tone. I asked her if she was going to paint over it, and she said "no, this is the color". I let her know that the color was pink, not nude. She argued with me saying it was nude. I compared them to my toes, which was the original color I had asked for. She then brought out a deep brown and layered that powder on top of the pink powder. My nails came out super thick and lifted, jaggedly cut, unevenly textured, and the wrong color. I let her know my concerns and she continued to argue that this is what I had asked for. When I showed her the thickness of my nail compared to how they usually turn out, she told me that it was my type of nail that was the issue (not the fact that she had layered two powders over each other). If she thought that my nails were incompatible to the powdered ombré, WHY WOULD SHE SUGGEST IT over my original request for a simple nude. Her "solution" was to give me $10 back out of the $65 I paid and to tell me that she'd never do my nails again. read more

So when I was finding a place to do my nails I did think this place was a bit questionable with 5 full stars mostly written by people who had less than 5 reviews... But, for $15 for a pedicure, I thought sure, why not give it a try.....Now I know why. Actual pedicure itself was below average. I had red nail polish on my skin around my toenails which made it look like I was bleeding. They also did not much else for calling it a "spa" pedicure. My heels felt pretty neglected. 2 out of 5 However, I gave them a 1 because they are D-I-R-T-Y. Also more reason to question the other reviews because this was the most UNHYGIENIC nail salon I've ever been to. Tools are not sterilized (just wiped off with the same towel your feet were just on), there's toenails all over the rug and floor, and there's ONE beat up massage chair that you can't even turn on because it's disgusting, with a dirty stained blue pillow on it. I saw THREE people sit on that chair total and it was not turned on ONCE. The WORST part was she clipped my skin while doing my toes, which is no biggie in a salon where the tools are sterilized, but after she was finished with me, she wiped the tools with the same towel my feet were on and then just tossed them back in the plastic bin... and a few minutes later, out they came for the next victim! read more

Best manicure I've ever had, hands down. I went in with my busted old acrylic nails from Rose Whittier nails, looking for a new look and experience. I knew I wanted my acrylic nails off because my real nails underneath were long. Instead of prying off each nail, they were wrap in foil and soaked in acetone making the fake nail and acrylic painless to come off . Liz recommended to do a powder dip to make my actual nail smooth and strong. That's what we did and I chose a beautiful rose pink gel color. I couldn't be more happier with my manicure! My fiance also got a Mani/Pedi and he almost fell asleep in the massage chair. He loved it. We booked our next appointments 3 weeks from now only days before our wedding. Thank you Liz for taking me in last minute today!! I called Liz for a nail emergency - the gel from my last manicure (done by another salon) was peeling horribly! She was fully booked tonight but stayed open late to squeeze me in. I got #129 with unicorn powder on top. Looovee it! UPDATE -- I realized this morning that the paint job was done rather messily. Overall, my experience was positive. The place was clean and organized. The ladies working there were very friendly. The quality of work was great. The reason why I didn't rate 5 stars was because of the amount of time my mother and I spent there. We had a 5:30 appointment and did not leave until 7:45. I kept giving them a chance because of all the great reviews on here. I gave it two stars because the pricing is not expensive, But I guess you get what you pay for. Both times I came here I got a gel mani and pedi. The first time the gel mani was streaky, but when I noticed I went back and Liz the owner fixed it. The second time I was also happy about the pedi, but this time LIZ did my gel mani from start to finish and it was HORRIBLE, The gel was streaky and bumpy and left alot of residue around the nail edges. When I asked her to fix it she just started to cut at the edges to attempt to remove the gel Polish and even cut me. Even after this there was still alot of gel Polish left around my nails so I started to pick at it to try and remove it myself, and all she said was it'll come off on its own!!! Like really? at this point I did not want to argue with LIZ so I left it at that. But a little advice for you LIZ next time a customer asks you to do something because they're clearly unhappy DO IT because they are the customer and they are paying for your services, maybe people would tip more and leave with a happy experience. I am writing an update on Liz's nail salon. In the past I have been pleased with her services, but sadly I left her salon displeased and unsatisfied. I went in to get a full set after a long overdue time of letting my nails breathe. The last time I was at her nail salon was back in October. Anyways I chose a light color. Keep in mind all her polishes are gel. As Liz was painting my nails I had ask her if, I can add fairy dust on top of my nails. She denied me and told me she had paint my nails with 3 coats already. I told her ok? She then offered me ombre chrome nails. I told her ok, but I hated how it looked, and told her no before she began all nails. She kept insisting on glitter nail polish, and I told her no. All I wanted was fairy dust, and she kept denying me saying, she had painted 3 coats.I eventually disregarded her, and said it was fine that, I would just keep the color, so she finished my nails with top coat. She knew I was displeased, so by the time I had to pay she charged me 37! For what ? So she can save a penny on her fairy dust that is fairly cheap. For a mediocre job she did ? All I had was a small/medium coffin set. In the past I have never paid this much ! I think she just charged 37 because she knew I wouldn't tip her. Beware that she does not have prices listed in her shop, she charges what she pleases. I asked for a receipt and denied me that as well. She is just money hungry. What a shame I would of paid for her past customer service. Look at 1 star reviews, she tends to overcharge you if your displeased with her service. Thanks for keeping your customers happy, I rather go back to my original nail salon in riverside even if it's an hour drive. The first ever time anyone has actually done the shape I wanted. Every time I'd get my nails done elsewhere, I'd ask for round. They ALWAYS ended up square. Not even "square round". Just SQUARE. Liz made sure multiple times which shape I wanted. Some may find that annoying but I found it considerate and reassuring. My nails came out the best I ever had and this is definitely my new place to go to. I'm excited to go again and get more done, including pedicure and eyebrows.
