I am currently in search of a nail salon to call home. I typically get a gel manicure and/or regular pedicure. Pros: love the online appointment feature; I love even more the armrest for manicures - I've never seen this anywhere else and it is soooo comfortable (see photo) that I almost fell asleep; the nail tech was super helpful in finding a popular and seasonal color for both my gel nails and regular pedicure. Cons: color selection is pretty limited; the nail tech cut into skin while cutting the cuticle of my big toe until I put a stop to it; the pedicure chair is uncomfortable and either needed to be brought forward more or I needed a pillow; the positioning of my foot during the pedicure caused foot cramps, which I have never had in many years of pedicures; the tech did not put the cuticle oil anywhere near my cuticles, it was on my 1st knuckle where it's not doing what it's used for; absolutely no back massage at any point. read more

This was hard to score. I'm currently researching new nail salons in my neighborhood so I don't have to drive 30 minutes to get them done. My neighbor said this place was amazing so I decided to give it a try. Now I did do some research. I thought the prices were a little high for me but I decided to just go for it. Atmosphere: clean and nicely decorated Service:. I was greeted and set up right away. I didn't even have to wait 5 minutes. It was a big deal to me. I had Sam as my pedicure expert. I would give him a million stars if I could. He was very gentle when taking off my gel polish. Would sometimes can burn with the filing drill. He is very particular He did an amazing job. I also received a massage and it's probably the best foot/leg massage I've had in a very long time. Here comes the problem. Even though the pedicure was the best I do not think it matches the price. Price:. Too much for my pocket. Recommendation: If you have a lot of money to spend on a pedicure then this is your place. I recommend Sam, he's great. If you're like me and are not comfortable spending a certain amount ($50+) on pedicure then I would pass on this place. This place lost the star because of the prices. Used to be a 5 star place. Things changed for the worst 2 years ago. Decided to give them another try but the service was poor. All pedicures are rushed. You used to get a 10 minute foot and leg massage followed by a hot stone massage. Now you get 2 minutes and 30 seconds for each leg and foot and they barely massage you. It's like they are just swooshing the soap around and the stone rubbing on the leg is part of the 2 minutes and 30 seconds, whereas before you had an amazing foot massage with reflexology for 5 solid minutes on each foot, and then 2 minutes of the stone massage on each leg. You have to remind them to put the tissue between your toes before they put on polish. When your toe nails are drying they used to massage your shoulders - no more! And the person did not place my shoes on the floor she dropped them. one shoe hit one of my toes, damaged the polish with a dented line and the woman tried to brush it out with the nail polish brush. When I said I can still see the indentation of the line she said you can just see it just a little. I asked her nicely to fix it. She did but she was not happy. I also had a manicure and the massage on the hands with cream was a joke. Just swooshing cream. I went to the area to dry my nails when finished and no shoulder massage, no check in, no one said I was good to go or came to take the tissue off from between my toes. I gave the girl a nice tip because of the holidays and she never checked on me or came to say good bye. Other salons give the most incredible foot, hand and shoulder massages throughout the experience. Someone always checks to see if your nails are dry and they always remove the tissue separating your toes. So sad that the pampering no longer exists for the prices Tina charges. I will not go back after giving them a second and third chance and after tipping 25%. I was a very happy customer there for years - no more! I have been a client for 12 years. Appointments are easy to make via their online website. Tina and her staff are accommodating and pleasant to all clients. The salon is equipped with modern footbaths, nail technician desks, and are kept neat, clean, with all tools sanitized. Every effort is made to keep appointments on schedule. Tina is patient if I don't know which color to choose and is willing to try all the colors I have selected to see which one I like best. She and her staff will make recommendations on best colors which compliment your skin tone. If I had an unfortunate chip in a nail, Tina was always available for a walk-in quick fix. Attention to detail and customer satisfaction is the priority for Tina and her staff. read more

Worst manicure I've ever had. My cuticles and sides of nail were rubbed by nail file repeatedly and then made worse with the polish remover-ouch. I don't think the young lady understood 'short' nor knew how to use the dryer properly as the polish has lines all thru from never drying properly. I won't be back. I could have 'walked' her thru all these errors but I don't go to a 'professional ' to do that, I go to relax and end my long day peacefully. read more

I brought my own top coat which is a gel polish and always makes my nails last for a week. 24 hours later I have two chips already. Waste of $13. I used to frequent Nails by Tina regularly but I started having to wait longer and longer for them to begin scheduled appointments. Today was next level. I made an 11:30 appointment to treat myself to a mani/pedi before an event. I needed to be out the door by 1 - plenty of time. Well at 11:55 when I asked for the second time how much longer the wait would be the they asked noon appointment, right? NO! Don't worry 10 more minutes and we will have you done by 1. At 12:05 I was seated with my feet soaking while I waited for someone to get to me. By 12:15 it became very clear that no one was getting to me any time soon. There was no way they could perform a quality service and allow dry time! I walked out and stupidly I waited so long I don't have time to walk in to another place. Never again! To treat a scheduled customer like that is totally unacceptable. read more

I used to come here all the time. But i can not justify spending another dollar there. Tina is great and very professional. The past couple times I got a pedicure my nails were not filed straight! To even have to ask for this is crazy! That should be part of the pedicure. Then the last time I went for a manicure. I am not sure the guys name but he sucked! Was using the dullest cuticle clippers and i could see he was not cutting my cutticles, which was honestly the whole reason I scheduled the appt. I made a comment saying I do not think you are cuting anything. This man looked at me... shock his head in disgust... then went to wipe the cuticle cutter on a paper towel to try and show me he was... and literally there was NOtHING. Then was still shaking his head at me and I pointes to my thumb which visibly needed the cuticles cut. He was so rude I wanted to walk out. Mine you my manicure before this visit was with Tina. She did a great job. Cut my cuticle and even used an electic cuticle cutter at the end! I just cant keep going somewhere that is expensive but INCONSIsTENT and has rude staff. I moved to Connecticut in summer 2020 and was very picky about finding a nail salon. My nail salon back home was amazing, so my standards were set very high. Nails By Tina surpassed my standards and I am so glad I found this little gem. Making appointments are so easy since they have a place on their website that allows you to do so. I usually get a gel manicure while I am there and I've gotten a pedicure once. I have had multiple nail techs do my manicures, but they are all amazing. Each person pays attention to detail and makes sure your nails look amazing. I also like how they offer gloves for $2 extra to help moisturize and protect your hands from the UV light. The pedicure lasted a long time and the girl gave me such a relaxing experience. Prices are super reasonable, which is an added bonus! Tina is unprofessional and was extremely rude to my underage daughter. She did not credit the deposit towards my daughter's service after she waited an hour! She sent rude text messages to me that I would be happy to share if you would like and then went so far after I called her out to post a policy on her website after I remarked about it not having. I also have the before and after of that. And while my daughter was sitting there the second time (getting her nails fixed from the first time) two of her friends were there talking about how they were in jail for battery. Cool. Then she tells my daughter if I disrespect her again she would no longer be allowed in her chair. Seriously, you can't make this up. Do yourself a favor and find someone else. I just moved to the area so a week ago, I really needed my eyebrows done. I went in, and I couldn't believe how huge this place was. The woman who waited on me, literally took 3 minutes to wax my eyebrows. It was fast, and not good. She didn't use tweezers, shape them or anything. Lots of pros and cons to this place. Pretty clean and nice selection but quite a few problems. Pros include a wide selection of colors including cnd vinylux which is a seven day gel that doesn't require uv light, liners in the pedicure tubs that are changed for every guest, pretty prompt service, quick shoulder rub during drying Cons include polish left on the skin, nails scissors that didn't come out of a sterilized bag, and short massage. Several employees were also a bit gruff and rude. When I walked in for my appointment I picked out my color and then stood there awkwardly waiting for them to tell me where to go. Two employees were just sitting and didn't offer a seat or directions. I was led into the pedicure area but was chastisized for going the "wrong way". The pedicure area is rather tight and cramped so there are two ways in. One patron was yelled at and told to wait in the waiting area when she tried to go into the pedicure area before they were ready. It was pretty uncomfortable for all there! None of the prices are posted so when they charged me 32 for the pedicure I didn't even know if that was their standard rate. Seemed high as I can get a spa pedicure with an extra ten minute massage for 37 at my normal spot! read more

I came here yesterday for a gel manicure and I don't think I'll go anywhere else. My former manicure from another salon was a light purple and was starting to turn a pistachio green, it also had some pumps and unevenness. There was zero waiting time once I arrived for my 4pm appointment, they were ready for me right away. I knew I'd chosen the right place when I noticed Cindy's careful attention to detail when she was filing. She showed that attention through the entire manicure, I've never seen such an even and perfect application. Everyone was so professional and nice, the salon is beautiful and welcoming, and I've never had a better experience getting my nails done. it is slightly pricier than the place I normally go, I think I usually pay $25 for gel manicure and this was $33 with a 10% off promo they were having. But I promise it's worth it, it's not just painting your nails, it's a moisturizing soak, a shoulder massage, a hot stone hand massage, it's attention to all the details and a flawless manicure. read more

I've been coming here a while but am very dissatisfied with it lately. Even if you make an appointment they usually make you wait and are not at all apologetic. If you happen to have Tina - it's terrible because she spends so much time cashing out people, answering the phone, it takes forever to get a manicure. She doesn't do massages either. Last time she used a top coat for a gel ($$) that went bad. I thought she would take something off my manicure this time, but no. I love this place. It's my go-to pedicure location. The people who run it are super friendly and the leg/foot massage you get during the pedicure is so, so fabulous. They do a great job every single time; my pedi lasts weeks. It's also super affordable for the great service you get, and the place is super clean. I was there today for a pedicure with two other ladies. We had a 1:30 appointment and they took us on time. The pedicure was exactly what we all were looking for: exfoliation, masque, leg massage and a hot stone massage, polish was done quickly with no mistakes, and great shoulder massage while our toes dried. The pedicure was $32 each (before tip) and lasted about an hour. The space was clean and welcoming, their tools are all individually wrapped after they are sanitized. Today my aunt treated me to a pedicure at Nails by Tina, and I must say, I loved every single second of it! We had an appointment at 11am, and waited a few minutes in the chairs up front, before being shown to our massage chairs. Once comfortably settled, we had free reign of the remote setting on the chairs, so we did not at all mind the ten minute or so wait for the pedicures to begin. The staff was experienced and professional, from the leg and foot massages (they must have used 12 different massage styles/oils/techniques!), to the actual manicuring and painting out our toes, and the 3 minute or so shoulder massage at the end. I will never enter this Salon ever again!!! The first time I went there to get a pedicure the guy who did it cut my foot and then continued to file the nail and I had to pull my foot away and show him the blood because he was oblivious, the second time I was forced to go there because I needed a manicure after getting engaged and it was the only nail salon with availability (red flag!!) and they cut my ring finger (which my engagement ring goes on!!) and the pinky finger next the it. I have never been cut at a nail salon at any other locations and have gotten plenty of manicures and pedicures! Today I went there to get the Gel removed from my nails. Based on the reviews I wasn't expecting a great experience, but to my surprise it was the best pedicure experience I've had at a nail salon. They took their time, everything was clean, and it included massage with warm lotion, hot stone massage, and exfoliation. My legs and feet felt great and my toe nails looked beautiful! This is their standard pedicure. I can't imagine their "spa" pedicure which is a bit more expensive. I would have given 5 stars except that I was enjoying my experience so much that I asked to get my eyebrows waxed. It didn't feel too hot at the moment but I had a couple of slightly burned spots. Even with that I will definitely return here, but only for nail services. I'll save the waxing for another location. Heads up a regular pedicure costs $32. read more

Had been going to this salon for years until yesterday when i got my eyebrows waxed and got burnt. I know have two large burn marks under each eyebrow. The lady never put any gel on them and after leaving salon they started to burn and swell . I know hope there is no scaring I don think I'll be back to this salon anytime soon. read more

I had gone here pretty regularly for years. Long story short- one day I went in for a mani and was super disrespected by the nail tech. He started screaming about how he couldn't give me the nail shape I wanted because my nails were in such poor shape (I had never gotten my nails any other shape before, and it's never been a problem). He then continued to scream about how terrible my nails are (which is odd, because I had been getting weekly manis at this establishment).
