I did a walk in at 11 am on a Thursday morning. You can also call and make an appointment if you prefer. I had a gel mani and pedi with French tips. Wonderful atmosphere. Kind staff. Great vibes if you want to enjoy your self love time. Quiet and peace environment. Very clean and the staff isn't talking to each other while they are with the clients. I had around an hour and a half earlier today before work. My nails needed a new mani! I told my nail artist of my time limitations and she confidently promised me we can do it. I love the result. Her personality and sense of humor were delightful. I have gone here over the years since I work nearby. Every time I go I get the best mani! Even the owner soes nails instead of being the "monitor" like a competitor in the same town. Kudos Magic!! I will try an AURA mani next visit. I'm not entirely sure why this place has such a high rating. Or why my mother goes there so often. Let me break it down for you: 1. The staff seem to not be as friendly as one would think a nail salon staff should be. For instance, the male owner told a woman who had just walked in to give him five minutes and then he could take her. So she patiently waited until five minutes had passed and then she stood up hoping to be called over. He looked at her and said "give me five minutes." She said, what every person was thinking, "you said that five minutes ago." He then proceeds to get an attitude with her and basically tells her if she doesn't like it then she can leave. Now wait, hold up, why are you getting mad at her? You told her that you need five minutes. If you needed ten then you should have said that in the beginning. Instead, he gives her an attitude and then says "okay if you don't want to wait then bye!". Then he just goes back to what he was working on. I mean, c'mon- how rude could you be to someone who wanted to be a PAYING customer? 2. My gel manicure was awful. The picture I provided shows a chipped nail FIVE DAYS (what is it with this place and the number five lol) after I got it done. The quality of my manicure was abysmal- lumps in the nail polish, nail polish all over the skin around my nails and a crooked filing job. I got charged $36 bucks for something I could have done sitting on the floor of a dollar store with some cheap $1 nail polish. Oh and the nail technician (that's putting it rather nicely) was all warm and friendly until I started calling her out on her shoddy work. The demeanor completely changed then. All in all, not worth ANYONE's time. Don't bother going there. Your money isn't respected, your time isn't respected and your patronage isn't respected. Rant over. You can all now return to your regularly scheduled programming. read more

Now that I am local I have found this salon to be one of my favorites. Clean and friendly and usually my gel nails look perfect. I do find it difficult to get an appointment with the same technician as I prefer. The male that answers the telephone is usually not very helpful in setting up an appointment with a specific nail technician. Sometimes I'm told they are booked up for weeks and then when I arrive as a walk in they available???? I went to this nail salon three times and I was pleased, however after this third experience, I will not be back. I got a full with chrome nails on Thursday afternoon, by Friday afternoon the gel polish and chrome were chipping off (less than 24 hours). I called on Saturday to get them fixed and because I chose not to get that defective chrome color again I was charged another 15 dollars. I had already paid my first visit $75 (pediatrician, eyebrows and $10 extra for defective chrome) plus a $10.00 tip. I don't argue with business owners, I just take my money to your competition. read more

Decent prices for decent services. Can always count on a speedy and efficient, however not the best shaping, eyebrow wax...but it gets the job done. Pedicures are ok..however don't ever get the French Manicure style..it's done odd...just odd...and for some reason does not stay on. Same with the hands... My nails looked nice leaving the salon. One hand was much longer than the other but I could get past that. I got a new acrylic set and a nail fell off within a week. Next one fell off a couple days later, didn't even feel it. Another a day later. All nails are already lifting. I have been coming here for my gel nails for around a year and a half. I'm getting worried. All the original girls are gone. They have 2 salt water fish tanks, one is now empty and filthy and the other one is getting dirty like that scene in Nemo. I like it here because my nails come out great and I don't want 'fancy' service, like an arm/hand massage, a glass of something.... just do my nails and I'll be on my way. I don't understand how in the WORLD this place has gotten 5 stars from numerous reviewers. I just don't get it... I actually decided to head to this place because of all the great reviews that I had read - I shouldn't have listened. I called a few days ahead and made an appointment for 10am on a rainy Friday morning. I was shocked to see that by 10:15, they were absolutely packed. Which I took as a good sign considering the droves of women coming in the door. I picked my color for my pedicure and was off to the chair. So far, so good. The pedicure was maybe a 5 out of 10. My feet didn't soak at all and while the hot towels were nice, it wasn't like I haven't had the particular hot towel experience before. The pedicure didn't blow me away at all. What DID surprise me however, was when the woman next to me had her sandals slipped on, toe separators put in and then the woman started to polish her feet. Why my nail tech decided to paint my toes without my flip flops on and separators in is beyond me. And then to add insult to injury with barely dried toenails, she's maneuvering my feet into my flip flops trying not to bump them. Really? Did I mention I had a wedding to attend of a good friend that evening? So, I decided to get my eyebrows done as well. I had only planned on having a pedicure and a fill done but I figured what the heck. She did a semi-decent job on my toes. The eyebrows were the best part about the whole experience. Really and truly. This particular woman (I didn't even bother asking for her name because I WON'T be back) should stick to eyebrows and make that it because had she done my nails first, I would have left. I just wanted a fill, that's all. Instead what I got was sore fingers, a LOT of miscommunications and a not so good final product. I should have known right from the start when not once, not twice, but more than I can count she burned me with the damn sander. If she hadn't been rushing (why, I have no idea) and gone SLOW around the areas that are more sensitive - ladies, you know what I'm talking about here - the cuticle, the sides of our nail beds - it would have been fine. After the 2nd finger in and her burning me 3 or 4 times already, I was sweating. I was truly SWEATING because I was so nervous about her doing my nails at this point. After the 2nd nail I told her that it was hurting too much and maybe I should just have my nails soaked off and get a manicure. It seemed like the safest bet. Why she continued to ignore me I have no idea. More $ maybe? After a second request that went ignored, I told her to sand as little as possible because I was done being burned. I've got seriously uneven nails that aren't even covered by gel on the sides. The kind of thing you don't realize until you're halfway home after you've paid a crapload of $ for shitty service. Here's the best part about all of it - I decided to get a design on each ring finger and the idiot puts a design on one finger and goes to my other hand and puts a design on a completely different finger. When I pointed it out she said "Oh. Well, you can put design on these two fingers." Yeah thanks but no thanks. When she realized she messed up and I wasn't falling for her cover, she got huffy (literally, she started huffing and puffing) and bumped two of my fingers with her wrist. She fixed about 4 or 5 fingers by the time she was "done." It was the most ridiculous fill I have ever had in my life. Truly. If her intention was to squeeze every possible dollar from my wallet, she did it. I paid $75 (not including tip) for this crapfest of a nail salon. I've been to better places and don't plan on returning to this one. I shouldn't expect great service from a place that is located right next to Walmart, should I? Shame on me... read more

What can I say about Fashion Nails? I have been there for nearly 3 years and am a VERY picky client (Maggie will agree). I came to Fashion Nails after my salon of choice due to their lack of desire to do designs and charging exhorbitant prices for gel fills. Maggie and Kelly were the two individuals who were recommended and they did not disappoint. Maggie and her husband own the establishment and I've really grown to adore them. We had some minor bumps in the road but like every good relationship, without the bumps you don't appreciate one another. :) The things I love are: 1. Ambiance 2. QUALITY 3. Consideration and concern of maintaining that quality 4. How personable the team is, esp Maggie and her husband 5. Prices 6. Location (is perfect) 7. Cleanliness 8. Ability to communicate flawlessly. I have been trying this salon over and over again but there is just no way they will ever get a 5 star rating from me. Gave this place many chances over the past three years. They cannot get any shape right. I have tried oval, squoval, almond, and coffin and they fail to have even two nails look the same or even similar to the shape your asking for. If you ask them to go shorter they will tell you it's not possible or "it don't look nice". If you tell them to fix something that is bothering you or you don't like they will nod there head but do what they want.. I mean they are my nails and I am paying for them shouldn't they look how I would like them too ? Yeah you would think.. as for the polish 75% of the time the gel polish chips within a few days. 99% of the time the regular polish gets brown and looks gross. You can make an appointment here but what's the point they don't honor it you'll still wait at-least 15 minutes. I went in the other day with an "appointment" the male owner Dinh tells me "can you wait a little?" I asked "how long" he goes "just an hour". Whoever wrote that this place is great, seriously must have exceptional luck. I gave this place a second chance....I have no idea why. Where do I begin? I was rushed to pick a color and wound up with red when I wanted peach. The tech was annoyed, huffy, and rolling her eyes at me because I kept showing her pictures of peach nails, hoping she would retrieve the other 85 color samples and allow me to look through them. Finally, I picked red. She got up to get it, and I got up and started looking around. She insisted I sit down. At this point, she burned me several times with the sander............................l don't even know why she was using the sander for a manicure. Put the acetone on and let it sit for a few. Don't sand my friggen skin off, please. I pulled away when I started to bleed and she told me "it's ok". No, actually it's not ok. I'm more mad that I was too miserable to put up a fight or walk out. Fashion Nails consistently does a great job on my nails and toes. Maggie & her husband, the owners, are so friendly and welcoming. They are affordable - with gel manicures being only $25, compared to $30 I've paid at many other places. The salon is good size - about 9 stations and 8 pedicure chairs. They have a huge selection of gel polish, the inside is clean, and they have a huge fish tank that you can check out while getting your nails done. The only downside is that this place gets PACKED. If you don't go during an off-time, as in - a weekday morning - expect to wait at least a half hour. They take appointments, but I've gone in with an appointment and STILL had to wait quite a while, hence the 4 star rating instead of 5. read more

He took walk-ins only minutes before my scheduled appointments and expected me to wait for half an hour or more.
