She wasn't very friendly but that's fine. I have a gel x product on my nails. I didn't know that this Salon didn't fill in this product. The tech applied foil over cotton with acetone to remove the product on my nails. Afterwards he asked me if I had on my nails and I said gel. It was gel x. I didn't know they didn't do service for this product. So after he already removed my product from my nails. He said we don't do gel x. And so I asked him what would I be charged for he said a polish. I came in for a fill and pedicure. I would have like to been told that he could not fill my nails in advance. They are trained professionals. My nails are very thin and one cracked with 2 breaking off. I didn't mine paying to get a new set of the product that they did service. I wasn't given an option before he removed the product from my nails. The rhinestones fell off my nails on my hand and toes before the week was out! I looked at my receipt and it says I was charged for a manicure and pedicure. But he did a removal and pedicure, and polished my nails. I called and spoke with the manager Lena she talks very loudly and aggressively! Which is how she sounded the day I went in. She said they don't do gel x product. And she turn customers away if they have gel x product. She tried to say I came in for a polish only on my nails. But that's not true. She offered for me to come back to the same nail tech for a repair. I didn't want the same tech againMy pedicure looked good when my feet was wet. Once it dried I can see a lot of cuticle was left around my toes. I wasn't happy with the service I received. For the money I paid. I don't mind paying or tipping but I expect good service!

The stylist always offers suggestions on hair styles that will work with my hair and products to maintain the style between cuts. But they are not-pushy or aggressive about purchasing product or getting additional services. This is what drove me from my last stylist so I am pretty happy with their low key environment. Every hair cut comes with the option of a free scalp massage, arm & hand massage, and mini facial. They also offer complimentary touch ups to make up.

However, I've become increasingly annoyed with the salon itself, roughly 2 weeks ago I wanted to try something new & let Shawn do whatever she wanted to my hair. What I was angry with was the cost, my normal expense is $150.00 plus I always tip her $50.00. But this time it cost me $250.00 !!! And I honestly felt like I had just walked out of Best Cuts and that I could've done exactly what I paid for myself for way cheaper. The cost of each service is not posted anywhere in the salon nor on their website- annoying!!! I also find some of their workers to be rude, one of them being the owner who is abrupt & uninviting on the phone but a completely different person face to face. I'm not sure what that's all about but I hate calling to schedule an appointment! Then there's another younger stylist (we'll call her Jersey Shore) who washed out my hair while Shawn worked on another client. No "hello", no smile, no nothing- just complete silence- she was definitely angry about something or at someone but when I'm paying these prices I expect better customer service. I would've been happy with a simple 'Hi", honestly. Anyways, I'm not saying don't go here- there's a reason why I keep coming back I just wish there was a way to get my hair done by Shawn outside of the salon. Now to the color, I'm on the three week color plan and prior to having my hair colored with Traci I was not getting three weeks. Perhaps it is because she leaves the color on 10 minutes longer than previous salons I have been had color . Maybe she uses a better color? All I know is my color certainly is lasting longer. An instrument with crystals helps to remove blemishes and fine lines. It removes the old cells of the skin to give a fresh look. Karlee used a cleanser, toner and moisturizers, so many I don't remember. My face felt great, and I needed it done. Aveda products she used are for sale. Then I returned for a brow tint. Karlee chose my hair color. She plucked, waxed, shaped and colored my brows using an Aveda pencil that contains wax. Therefore it is waterproof, and last four to six weeks. I really liked the results. I purchased the pencil for $24. Prices for all salon and spa services are online. Receiving a gift card was wonderful.

Good to know it's all under one roof. After waiting with anticipation of the stylist finishing up with their haircuts and blowouts, the gal that fished the pedicure came up to me saying she is ready for me. I was confused.... My heart sank. The excitement was gone and I just couldn't go through with it. I couldn't trust that I would get the same beautiful results as an experienced & skilled stylist for my big hair change. I asked her if she just got done doing that pedicure and was a newer stylist and she said yes, I just got done with the pedicure and have been cutting for about one year. I apologized and said I wasn't comfortable with her cutting my hair. I never had a pedicure nail person cut my hair before. The gal at the desk said all their stylist do pedicures and didn't offer any alternatives. She didn't care that I waited 30 minutes post my scheduled appointment and didn't care that I was not comfortable and didn't try to find me someone more experienced. She didn't even sell me on this stylist either!! Didn't build her up at all. Retaining my business was not a consideration at all. She was all too ok with me walking out the door. Since when does skilled experienced stylist do pedicures on Saturday ? I could have went to "budget cuts" and pay 15.00 rather than 85 plus a tip. That price point comes with expectations of getting a trained stylist passionate about her or his craft.
