I was referred here for service. I wasn't greeted at all. The lady asked me what I was getting done. I told her a pedicure and a gel fill. She told me to sign in. She wasn't very friendly but that's fine. I have a gel x product on my nails. I didn't know that this Salon didn't fill in this product. The tech applied foil over cotton with acetone to remove the product on my nails. Afterwards he asked me if I had on my nails and I said gel. It was gel x. I didn't know they didn't do service for this product. So after he already removed my product from my nails. He said we don't do gel x. And so I asked him what would I be charged for he said a polish. I came in for a fill and pedicure. I would have like to been told that he could not fill my nails in advance. They are trained professionals. My nails are very thin and one cracked with 2 breaking off. I didn't mine paying to get a new set of the product that they did service. I wasn't given an option before he removed the product from my nails. The rhinestones fell off my nails on my hand and toes before the week was out! I looked at my receipt and it says I was charged for a manicure and pedicure. But he did a removal and pedicure, and polished my nails. I called and spoke with the manager Lena she talks very loudly and aggressively! Which is how she sounded the day I went in. She said they don't do gel x product. And she turn customers away if they have gel x product. She tried to say I came in for a polish only on my nails. But that's not true. She offered for me to come back to the same nail tech for a repair. I didn't want the same tech againMy pedicure looked good when my feet was wet. Once it dried I can see a lot of cuticle was left around my toes. I wasn't happy with the service I received. For the money I paid. I don't mind paying or tipping but I expect good service! read more

I had my nails done by this place about a month ago. I had acrylics put on however I noticed the nails were poorly fitted to my fingers. I let it go though. Big mistake. One month later, all the nails finally had fallen off or had been taken off and what was hiding underneath my left thumb nail? Nail fungus. I was disgusted and completely shocked. I had known this place wasn't the absolute best but I discovered that nail fungus can be transmitted through dirty tools/incorrect nail methods. This place, like so many other nail places in the Chagrin Falls area, just lost my business for good. read more

I was in Ohio for the holidays and went into Fashion Nails the Saturday before Christmas. My nails looked nice when I left and even thanked the owner for getting me in, as I was a walk-in. I paid and even gave the girl extra since it was Christmas. By Monday my nails were peeling off, now I had a fill and Shlac put on. Usually this would last almost a month before they would have to be done again. I stopped by the nail salon with my niece, I was going to get her nails done while they fixed mine. My niece is 11 she was very excited. Well neither one of us got our nails done. The owner told me I needed to stop by the next day to have the girl that did my nails fix them. I said ok, and took my niece the Empress Court next door, for Chinese food. It was very good. I stopped by and the girl was there took me right away, did not even take the polish off she just polished over it. I was furious then she had the nerve to ask me to just tip her not pay. I said I don't have any cash just a credit card. I stopped by to see Sam at Walmart he owns the nail salon and used to do my nails all the time when I lived in Ohio. He said let me see your nails. He said the girl did not let the Shlac dry and caused one of my nails to get a fungus and had a horrible time getting the polish off. It lifted my whole nail. I am posting pictures, my nail salon on Marco Island is still trying to fix my nail. I can't have any polish on it or even try to put a nail on, my nail is still peeling off. read more

i paid 75$ for gel acrylics that's polish pealed off the nail in the shower after not even a day of wear. the shape was not what i had asked for. also, do not choose any design shows on the board of designs. they still cannot put them on the nail. i asked for sharply pointed stiletto nails with flames and this is what i got. as you can see the black is already peeling off the nails after less than 24 hours read more

I just moved to this area and used yelp to find a nail salon and boy did I get lucky. I have now been twice both times with my 9 yr old daughter (they do her nails too). It's a very clean, courteous and friendly nail salon. I make an appt and never have to wait. My nails look fabulous and their prices are better than most. read more

Went in for a dip nail manicure, and a shellac pedicure. The dip nails were filled/buffed too much and chipped within a week. Mine typically last about a month. The shellac on my toes peeled off in days. I am not sure they are using authentic products. They don't really care, as it appears to be just an assembly line for them. GO ELSEWHERE and save your money. read more

This review is regarding the Fashion Nails salon in Chardon, OH. Have had very positive experiences until this last time. Male Nail Tech appeared preoccupied, almost applied the incorrect nail fill until I mentioned it. Ended up with a cut to my finger from rough filing by nail tech. When asked for antiseptic for the cut, the tech said "oh, we just use alcohol". OUCH!! Nail edges are very sharp (squared) and are uneven. A Child frantically screamed in back area, Female Nail Tech looked at me in great surprise. She swiftly went to back area and soon 2 very young children were wondering about the salon. The salon did not appear clean. Clutter noted in window of reception station. I'm on the fence about returning to give them a second chance. read more

I repeatedly told my very sweet nail tech to please get closer up to the cuticle, repolish, and reshape my nails as they were very visibly uneven. I figured during this manicure I had already micromanaged enough, and decided to watch the television above. When finished, to my horror in the light outside, this was the result. My beautiful long natural nails were now misshapen, my cuticles completely hacked. They offered to fix, not refund but I will absolutely never return. Not 1 star worthy! Horrible place. Customer asked for manager and employee said she doesn't know where he is or how to get a hold of him. When customer left the employee called the manager on the phone. Today a customer was shocked by the neon sign when exiting the salon, shocked so much that her phone flew out of her hand. She told the employee and the employee said ok thank you, bye. You know they understand English, but they understand $$$ much more. They don't care about customers. Very unprofessional staff. I have been a loyal customer of Fashion Nails for more than 2 years. My most recent visit was for a shellac manicure and a regular pedicure ( cost of $74 ) Kurt did a nice job, as he always does. As is customary at FN, I charged the services on my credit card and paid a generous (20%+) tip in cash as required by salon policy. More than 10 days after my visit, I was reviewing my receipts and comparing them to my online credit card statement. I was shocked to see that I had been charged $741, rather than $74. I immediately called the salon and spoke with Lina. When I told her what had happened, she didn't even pause and said "I will issue you a check for the difference". No apology. No questions. She knew that I he been overcharged by almost $700. Ten days had passed since the charge before I realized what has occurred. In that time, no one from the salon called to make me aware of the error. Nor did they make any attempt to reverse or adjust the charge with the credit card company. With the low volume of business at this small salon and the fact that employees make commissions based on their total sales, I am confident that both Kurt and Lina knew that I had been grossly overcharged. They must have been hoping I would never notice the error! At the very best this is an unethical practice. And I. may have even been intentionally overcharged. If you have been a customer of Fashion Nails in Bainbridge, please review your past charges. Came here to get an acrylic fill. I was originally going to just get full new set because I wanted my nails longer but I was persuaded to get a fill because it would be cheaper. One of the younger gentleman did my fill. Some of my nails were bumpy and not smoothed out. Then, I was charged for a full set! I asked the woman why and she told me that was what it cost me.
