This salon has new owners and the lady that took care of me was very very friendly and nice. The guy who did my pedicure worked for the previous owner and did a great job! I like the new black pedicure chairs and black manicure chairs they have now and will go back even though most of the staff is new. Was shocked when I got there and found out they had new owners. Will go back next time I need a manicure and pedicure because everyone was super friendly! read more

Very nice people. I don't like that they don't use plastic liners on the pedicure tubs. They had me put my feet back in the tub after she washed all my dead skin off the scraper. So I essentially was putting my feet in a tub of gross water. I won't come back. My daughters cuticles were also bleeding- the lady was too distracted on the phone. read more

No appointment. I only had to wait about 10 minutes. Lynn was my nail tech, and she did a great job. My cuticles were SO dry, but she took care of them. This place is just around the corner, so I will be going back! Good price, good service. read more

I arrived at Nail Design at 4pm and left at 6:49pm it took that long to get a basic pedicure. I was supposed to get my nails done too but I had already been waiting way too long. I still paid and tipped my nail tech plenty. I was new to Colorado and decided to give this salon a shot...never ever again. Aside from waiting two hours...my big toe on my right foot hasn't stopped bleeding as you can see the trim. The nail polish itself is sloppy as well. I usually don't leave reviews...but there's no way I'll ever go back the wait time was excessive. I called another salon and made an appt for my nails while I was there. We had an appointments at 1pm didn't get out of there until 4:30pm for manicure and pedicure. Manicure was gel. Pedicure was regular polish. After they put polish on toes. It was wrong color. Wanted to charge me more to correct color on toes. Will not be back. I use to come here when Ben was working there. Never had a problem when Ben was there. Lee is still the owner. Really poor management . Mom also, had manicure and pedicure. Mom wanted the names of family members written on each finger. Wrote it all out for Lee. She miss spelled names and didn't finish the letters. We will not be back. read more

Ok, peeps. I admit I've been holding out on y'all about this place. When people ask me about a nail salon recommendation, I hate answering them, because this place is the best-kept secret in Colorado Springs, and I almost feel like I'm betraying the rest of the secret keepers. I started coming here 18-ish years ago because it was close to work. But I *keep* coming here because the quality of the work, the friendliness of the staff, and the prices keep wooing me to return. Lee and her husband run this place, and she keeps high quality staff who are attentive and detail-oriented. If you're in a hurry, DO NOT visit Nail Design if you expect to pop in and out quickly. This place ain't like that, and you're likely to get your expectations all hurt and wounded. Think more of an old school salon, where you went in on a Saturday to get dolled up for church next day, but you also got caught up on the latest news, saw your dear friends and neighbors, and participated in community life. Eh, I think the guy who did my nails this time was an owner as he was too busy getting up to socialize than to focus on my nails. My toenails weren't cut straight (not even close) and his paint was streaky. He hardly spent anytime filing or really doing anything I couldn't accomplish myself in a five minute slap job. He was very excited to see the lady from the coffee shop bring him coffee. I wish he'd stick with ringing up bills as I felt stupid being there and being so unattended. Me and my friend came in today to get our nails done. Our pedi's went great and I was next to get my mani done. I showed them what I wanted and they refused, because it was too difficult. I just wanted a french black mani on my stilettos with dip. Nothing crazy or ornate. My manicurist huffed and went to talk to another lady. I sat and waited to see if I could suggest a different design that they could do. I offered just a black nail instead, she still refused. She asked if another person could do it, one could but was already busy with someone else(40min+). I'm still stunned at the complete lack of customer service. I wasn't rude, I tried to compromise. I'm honestly more pissed off I made the drive from Denver to hang out with my friend only to be refused completely. I paid and tipped my pedicurist and left back to Denver. 2 people sitting around on their phones or watching other people work, while you guys had 3 people WAITING for services. read more

Found this place about 2 weeks ago when I was looking for a nail salon. I've been here twice now and the amount of people walking in that door is no joke. You may have to wait a while to get seen, but it's worth it. I'm always hesitant with nail shops, but they do an amazing job on my nails. I was trying to grow my natural nails out but they kept chipping and breaking. I told Lee about this and she suggested acrylics and making appointments with her and she would help get my natural nails stronger and longer. Pedicures are simple, no hoopla menu like most places. And the prices are good too. I got my full set and pedi last night and paid $66. I don't think my bill has been that small in ages! Check them out!! read more

I tried this location out because of the high reviews, but my experience was awful. My tech filed areas in my skin on multiple toes. I had to put band aids with cotton balls on them to be able to walk in my shoes for the next week. For my manicure, the same tech stood beside the pedicure chair and barely filed and cut my nails; they weren't even in the same shape on all nails. I guess because I chose not to paint them, she didn't see the need to make them look nice. They also didn't have individually packaged tools, which is an automatic for me to not return. I will say there were a number of other customers around me who had their requested techs and talked about being routine customers. read more

Well I've come here a couple times with an appointment and i wait at least an hour past my appointment time. I made an appointment today to fix one of my chipped nails i come in i wait for twenty minutes and they come up to me and say the person who fixes that isn't here can you come back tomorrow after I called ahead to make sure they could do it and they said yes on the phone. Wow! This salon lives up to there rep. I've always heard they were always super busy and sure enough they were! The technicians are kind and take pride in there work with an exceptional time getting it done. They are very organized with who does or can do what. At 4:20 in the afternoon the place is jam-packed. I will try a morning next time. Actually, the place had cleared out by the time our session was over. I took one star away because the place is not as spacious or as well-eqipped as the other place in COS we use. They couldn't be as well-equipped because of the smaller facility and not having the floor-space. We were greeted warmly and moved to the pedicure station when two opened up. The actual work was great, I felt that I got a better pedicure than the place I typically went to. When we left, the cashier was gracious and pressed a business card into my hand. Everyone seemed very friendly. Prices are very good, $21 for a pedi instead of $25 and I felt that I got a better pedi here. read more

My kids gave me a gift certificate to Nail Design at Rampart Village Center 7609 Union Boulevard in Colorado Springs a couple years ago. It was for Christmas. I put it in my purse. This Christmas I found it in that purse which I hadn't used since then. I called immediately to ask if they would honor the certificate. The lady who answered said no she couldn't because if she did it for me, she'd have to do it for everyone. My question is why wouldn't she honor it, since she did spend the money? Obviously, customer service is not a priority for Nail Design. I won't be using them ever again. read more

Very nice and talkative workers. I came in last minute when another appointment wasn't ready yet. Just had a gel take off and foot soak/scrub. Owner and all employees were extremely nice and held small conversations. Decent price for all the little things I had done. Lotion, exfoliating, cuticle trimming and shaping. I would come back but be aware they can get pretty busy and will sit you down but keep you waiting for awhile. read more

This place is great. The service is wonderful and the staff is very friendly. It was quick and the work was good. However I will only rate this a 2-star. I do not believe in paying more for service. Ben did my nails. Again he was great. But I do not like the fact that I was "nickeled and dimed". I got sparkly pink tips--solar nails with a cute little design on my ring fingers. Solar nails are priced at $30 on the sign. Usually with tip. I spend no more than $40. But I did expect it to be a couple dollars more for a design. No problem. I got my nails all done up. I asked him to file a little thin. I guess it's called the coffin look. But I didn't want a lot. He filed just a little bit to smooth out the edges which came out very cute. 45 min later. My nails are dried and I'm ready to pay. $48 later I was not happy. They charged me $5 for the pink tip ( in ten years of going to nail salons there was never an extra charge ) $5 to file my nails. What?!? You charged me extra for 45 seconds of filing?? And $3 for the design ( which that I was prepared for ) Needless to say my review will not make a huge difference. But I will not be going back there. An extra $10 for something isn't right. The job was good. But again.. If you want to get "nickled and dimed" go for it. I will be going back down south to someone I've been going to off and on for years. But I moved up north in hopes to find something closer for me. read more

His station didn't appear to be wiped clean, visible debris on the chair and throughout the work counter was evident. His tools were stored in a plastic box, not sterile, not freshly retrieved. While i was getting my nails done i witnessed a male employee physically assault a female customer. he had told her to shut up multiple times and he also was very rude from the start to customers as they came in. the man kept sayong she was a liar and was very very rude to her and not at all concerned with the show being put on while the rest of customers were getting their services. i have been here before and have seen this man before and have seen the poor qulity of customer service given. i will not return to this salon again after the physical assault on this poor lady i saw. read more

I have been a customer at this salon for years. The staff is friendly and always greets you upon arrival. Yes, they get very busy at times and I might have to wait a bit, especially after work. But I would rather wait a bit to get a good quality end results, patience is the rule. I have gone to several other locations and have never been as happy with my nails as Nail Designs. I like to do a different design each time I go and they are always happy to do a design I show them. Variety is the spice of life in my book! read more

My mother-in-law is happy with her beautiful nails. The people here are so incredibly nice, and the way they do your nails makes you feel relaxed and special. I would absolutely recommend this place when deciding where to go! The atmosphere is relaxing. Wonderful service! read more

The gentleman doing my pedicure, Henry, was super nice as always, but he cut my foot with the callus remover, probably because he was rushing to take care of his next customer. When I arrived, the technician was still working on another client and also had someone else waiting to be finished. At that point, I was then asked if I could wait another 15-20 minutes before being worked on. By then, I would have been waiting 45ish minutes past my scheduled appointment time.
