Went to Nails First in Fenton on accident, I ment to call Fenton nails to schedule an appointment there, (where I usually go) but settled for this place..BIG MISTAKE the pink nails pictured are from Fenton nails,(my previous nails) but they were out grown and I needed a new full set. The Guy working at Nails first sat me down and used pliers and a fake nail to rip my existing acrylic nail off of the bed of my nail, which hurt really bad. He man-handled my hands and showed no professionalism and handling while doing the process. He asked me if it hurt and I told him "kind of " yet proceeded to do the same thing. Not to mention that they charge you 10$ for the "nail removal". If I wanted to rip off my existing acrylics I would've done it myself for free. They also only take cash or check which wasn't helpful. read more

This place is not clean and they are not into sanitation. I watched the gal pick up clippers from a different station, dip them in the foot spa and go to town on another woman's feet. Not clean. That said, the gal was nice and my toes look great. First and last time here. Ew. read more

I would give them 0 stars if I could. My nails look so lumpy and aren't the same length. I said I didn't want tips put on and Michelle literally chopped off my natural nails DIDNT EVEN FILE THEM and just glued tips on. She didn't clean up the cuticles or anything. I kept saying I wanted them shorter and she said she couldn't make them any shorter. She put flower stickers on and made them super lumpy. Not to mention it's my wedding tomorrow. Save your money and go to fenton nails. read more

This place is awful! It looked like my mani/pedi was done by a 5yr old. The biggest thing is they DO NOT STERILIZE their instruments. Gross!!!!! Thr place is dirty and not well maintained at all. I'm not one to write reviews, but I really thought people should know before they go spend their time and money here and potentially get a fungus from their lack of cleaning and sterilizing instruments. read more

This salon is filthy and is not taking any measures to prevent the spread of Covid. They use the same instruments on every person. Do not use disposable plastic liners in the foot tube nor do they sanitize them after use. The plastic wall between You and the Nailtek has not been cleaned since they installed it, not do they wipe down the tables after a customer. The most UNSANITARY salon I've ever been in, even if there was no Covid. read more

Walked in on a busy Saturday for a mani/pedi. Had to wait but it was worth it. They do a great job shaping your nails and getting rid of callouses. This is not your usual foreign owned nail shop. They listen to what you want. The pedi chairs have all over massage. I like that they let me soak my feet for a few minutes. I wish they gave better massages. But my nails look great. read more

I called ahead and was told they were not busy and they could do a design if I brought a picture of it in. Got there 15 minutes later.... and they were on a hour wait. The pedicure was nice which is the only reason I gave this place two stars. My fill in is a mess with two nails having something under the polish and they could not do any of several design choices I brought in. I will never go back .... feeling like I WASTED SEVERAL HOURS AND $60. Ugh I definitely could have done a better job myself! read more

This place is utterly and truly disgusting. They never clean or sanitize anything. Most of my nails broke off after my full set. I have no idea how these rude people stay in business. Not to mention there was a small child sleeping on a rack with cardboard in the back room. It's a very scary place. read more

I went and got my toes here, and as a cosmetologist myself I was kind of weary sitting in there, there were a lot of red flags. Walking in the salon looked dirty, it just looked like they didn't care about vacuuming and other common sense sanitary commodities. As soon as I sat down in the pedi chair they started trying to up-sale me and really were trying to push getting shellac, I passed. Then everyone that walked in after was harassed as well. It was just uncomfortable. Then the pedi wasn't as thorough as it could've been. She also used a knife-like tool that's illegal to use in the state of Michigan due to how abrasive it is, and can't be sanitized correctly for how often they use them. Then they opened the door to their back room and I briefly saw a child laying on some crap cardboard in the back. Was just in all a very uncomfortable experience, I won't be going back. Oh, and they only take cash. Which was super inconvenient. I had to leave a credit card with them and go get cash and run it back to get my card back. Very frustrating. Only good thing was the price, very cheap. read more

I got gel manicure for New Years Eve and it started peeling off the next day.

I've been to this hellish place twice. The first time, i was not greeted nicely, only to find a small boy locked in a closet while his mother was working. If he came out, he was yelled at by his mother, while the father was hacking away at an unfortunate patron, he also seemed upset that the boy needed attention. Leaving with a saddened heart, I hoped that this was an isolated incident. Not being able to get this out of my mind, i returned a second time. It was the same story again! I could hardly bare to stay this time. A few weeks went by, but i just couldn't stop thinking about this poor boy, and that i didn't have the courage to say anything or call CPS. But then, my husband and i we're celebrating our 25th anniversary at Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant Mi. And who did we see???...at 3am and then again at 6am, on a school night, the mother of this poor boy! It all starting making sense now. This "mother" who won't pay for proper daycare, would rather spend costomers money to gamble! What kind of mother would inprison her son in a closet so she can have enough money to gamble? I've been a licensed child therapist for 27 years in the state of michigan, and never seen such neglect from any mother like this! Knowing the extreme negative effects that gambling has on families, the poor boy will never make it with parents like these. This family should not be allowed to have the privilege of parenting. I WILL be calling CPS now, and following up with visits to this buisness! read more
