I have given this place many tries and I don't know why I keep trying. This last time I asked for shellac and was talked into dip. She said she could do dip so it was it was not very thick. I agreed to it. Then she started saying that she can make my nails look long and narrow rather than wide and thick. She filed the sides of all my nails so much that now that the dip is off they are all splitting. They're literally ripping off down by the nail bed. It's painful! Also, she didn't do a manicure even though I asked many times. She didn't push back cuticles or trim the skin around the nails. She did manage to make me bleed when she was drilling ... She charged me $50. I am so upset. I've had to return in the past to have nails fixed. I will not return. read more

The tools were covered in dust, the nail file was badly worn down with bare spots, similar to mine at home but I'm the only one who uses it. The technician filed my nails (sloppily) and painted them, no cuticle work whatsoever. She missed many spots on my nail that I pointed out to her and she replied that she would catch it with the second coat. $35 was overpriced for this service and I wouldn't return. read more

The quickest pedicure I've ever had. From door to door it was 18 minutes and I used the restroom. I could tell that the young man assigned to me did not want to be doing it. When it came to cleaning up the cuticles or calluses, there were several that he just touched the tools to the nail or spot, and tapped without doing anything else. It's been awhile since I spent some time on myself so the experience of being rushed with a less than half done job was very disappointing. I won't be back. read more

My friend and I went in to get a full set and each had a different man doing them. We asked for the same length and hers (silver) are severely shorter than mine, and really lumpy, thick, and uneven. He also drew blood while filing her nails, and parts of the acrylic are attached to her skin. At the end, her nails looked horrible--like the worst I've ever seen from a professional salon--granted mine (green) do look pretty good though. As we were ready to leave every single customer in the salon was told a different price for the same thing. The sign says $35 for a full set but my friend was charged $50 for her hideous nails and I was charged $55. [I don't have a great pic of her nails but they are horrible] Everyone else in the salon was nice BUT the older man who did my friends' glitter nails. I went in to get a fill for my acrylics. Young Lady doing my nails made them all different lengths, were crooked and they have bubbles in them. She acted like she didn't understand I wanted black nails and brought out chrome powder and pretty much manipulated me into getting chrome nails for $10 extra. When it was time for me to pay I watched her charge me for eyebrows (which I did not have done and was not accidental) (I had on a full face of makeup). When I was handed the receipt she was literally trembling cause she just scammed me. the total was $65 + $11 tip I had to do. very bad experience they don't have any idea what they're doing they font wear gloves and are rough. I was bleeding as she was filing my nails. they also had a dog in the salon who kept scratching the door to be let out to go potty. Do not go here for acrylics it may look nice inside but your nails wont. They will try and scam you if your young. Came here on a Friday at 6pm after attempting to get in to 2 other salons in Fenton that had no open spots. Very spacious & looks elegant. Staff was polite. Amazing massage chairs. I wanted a pedicure in June because I'm going to be outside & I want soft feet on the bottoms. The lady did not even file my feet at all. I soaked my feet & she clipped my nails & put polish on. My girlfriend on the other hand had the other end of the spectrum. Her lady pulled out what looked like the standard hand held kitchen cheese grater & went to town on her feet causing them to bleed. There is also a jar of orange jelly that is scooped out with a tongue depressor & used on your legs. They do not change the depressor with each person. Doesn't seem sanitary. On the outside the salon is elegant & enticing however due to this experience I do not feel that I would return. read more

First time client, very cold greeting when walking in for pedicure. Ended up with a very young man who never attempted to communicate with me, rushed through every step, only gave me physical cues to move one foot or the other. He did point to the place I needed to move to when he was done to completely dry my toenails. I was extremely disappointed in his rush job with the extra skin he left around my nails on my toes and the shotty polish job. I done expect to have a lengthy conversation with my mail tech, but some kind of gratitude for my business would be welcomed. Will not be going back! read more

July 1,2024 My daughter and I made our 1st appointment with silver lake Pro nail and spa at 10:am. While the technician was sanding my left foot it stated to burn, told tech. to stop sanding, she picked up my foot and said I see a rub mark and blamed it on my strap on my sandal and, I came into the salon with the sore. I stated that I am a retired RN and would never get my nails done if I had any open wounds, and this is only my second pedicure I have had and I am 73 years old. I really could not see the damage it did because its on the side of my foot. So they charged me $100.00 for my daughter and myself and I paid them a $10.00tip. Got home, I have pictures, I ended up with 2nd degree burns on the side of my foot that needed medical attention. Went back to the Silver Lake salon today at 10:00am 7-3-2024 and asked for a refund, showed the pictures of wound that needs daily care because of the degree of the burn, the owner and another person started yelling at the top of their voice for at least 5 minutes no other patrons were in the salon while I was there and came back stating the tech. said I came in with the wound, I am old and have poor memory and that is when the female owner again spoke up and said no refund, sue me. This was the 3rd time in a row I've been to Pro Nails in Fenton & the previous times my nails turned out fine. I would also like to say my nails were pretty long and healthy before going in. I went in today to get my dip powder changed and get a pedicure, the guy drilled my nails and applied acetone cotton balls with finger clamps that I wore during my pedicure. He asked me if I had gotten my dip powder there the last time & I said yes, he asked me who did them so I pointed to the chair they were done at and he said that it was his brother who did them last time if it was at that chair (station #6?). Once the clamps came off, the dip powder seems soft enough to scrap, but he opted for the drill anyway. Once he got to my thumb I realized the white part of my nail was paper thin and easily folded at the hole he created with the drill. When I said "I think you broke my nail" he simply applied what seemed to be super glue and proceeded drilling off the polish on my other hand. He then proceeded to go back over and drill the nails on my right hand again to which I said that I didn't want my nails to break off right when I left the "salon" bc they were getting so thin. He tried soaking the super glue off my thumb because it stuck the broken nail to my skin. He told me my nails were already thin and it wasn't his fault, but if my nails were thin then it must have been the last person in Pro Nails who had done them who made them so thin? Or perhaps the incessant drilling he had done? Truly, who could ever know? ‍ Anyway, I said my nails just needed to be cut down because they were ruined at this point, now he tried glueing tips onto my nail so he could complete my manicure and charge me $40. I told him I wasn't paying for this, he told me I needed to speak to the women at station #1 then and left the chair, I assume the conversations he then started having right as he left the chair were in regard to the perfectly fine manicure he was trying to give me that I would not accept. All in all, today I've learned that there are enough nail salons in Fenton that the benefit of the doubt doesn't need to be given. If you go here your nails may turn out, or you may leave almost feeling bad for not letting a guy drill through your nails and charge you for it. He sat at station #10. read more

Let's just start by saying my friend and I went for a girls day (my friend has been here more than I have) and I've been here twice now and neither of my visits or my friends' has turned into and enjoyable and relaxing experience. The massage chairs are great but every design we've wanted has never been exact what we have shown them and they weren't difficult designs. Sometimes they are a bit rude and rough. We've gotten just polish on our toes and one person just did polish nothing more nothing less. Another person did more cleaning and trimming the toe nail. The first time I went I got my toe nails painted and a full set of acrylics and it was $50. This time I went I got my toe nails painted and a filling and it was $70 and when I questioned them they just made up excuses and hurried to run my card while I was asking questions. And this place was the only place that was open. This place had nobody even in it which came as a shock to me considering how many people are always in the one place that I always go to.
