Well... the holidays came and I needed my nails done on my only day off. My favorite salons were totally booked and had extremely long wait times for walk-in..... ain't body got time for that! Very unprofessional service, DO NOT waste you money and time here, and you hear that from a two years loyal customer. My nail broke after two days!!! Over the phone they said it would cost 10$ to fix them then they charged me 15$ and said they did not know how I broke them!!! Are you kidding me?!!! I will post picture of how it broke and you judge !!! The funny part is : for one of my nail she did not even took out the broken one, she just add powder to the piece that I glued at home. To add the cherry on top of all of this was when I wanted to pay: I was waiting for the reception to hang up the phone and charge me, all of the sudden another lady who was behind me came into the front and speak with the reception in their language and paid while I was waiting for almost 4 minutes. This is a joke. I also looked at the walls, there was no sign of " people from our country are more welcome than other nationalities and we will take care of them first no matter what" so I am not sure why this unfair situation happened! I will post pictures of how uneven shape and color I got, in case if you want to know what to expect. I don't mind for the extra 5$, but when you say you did not know what does broke means while I clearly state TWO BROKEN NAILS, is funny! Specially for a nail salon technician who work at a place which label theirselves as one of the best in town. And taking care of the customers who are from same country as you are first, and waste other nationality's customers time, I don't even know what to say about it except you should put a sign for the customers to know what service to expect since LA is mix of different nationalities. This is a new place that opened several months ago. I came in for a quick mani pedi gel because of the very high reviews. It's kind of hard to believe it's 4.5 stars with 150 reviews in just 3-4 months. Pros: Parking in rear, fairly priced, complimentary drink, gets the basic job done. Con: Dead environment, not meticulous, not many variety of colors nor brands, not used to doing business yet. My complaint here is after I was done, my gel looked mottled, thick and cuticles were cut and now they are messed up. My toes are uneven as well. Both manicurist and pedicurist did not give attention to detail. They slathered lotion, no massage and wiped it up. At the end, receptionist took a picture of my hand. Checked this place out because of the reviews by my fellow yelpers and it was a great experience. The gentleman there, Ali, might have been the owner but he was super friendly and welcoming. Got my spa pedicure ready for me while his 2 manicurists were finishing up with another customer. He asked me if I wanted anything to drink, turned on my massage chair, and sent me off into "paradise". May and jay were great. Super friendly, took their time and was very accommodating. I got the paradise deluxe spa package and it was great. Sea salt scrub on my legs and arms, massage, warm towel, and there is this green mint mask they put on your arms- in this weather it was perfect. My arms felt so cool I was actually getting cold! I am so bummed about this place because it is walking distance from my house which is great when you've just got your nails done and have to play "The World is Lava." I didn't have to dig in my purse for my keys or try to drive with fresh nails. But I won't be going back here. I got acrylics done and she cut me in 5 different places on my cuticles and didn't put anything to stop the bleeding on them. Then she doused my fingers in alcohol and I almost screamed. The whole time she was rough and scratching me with the files and dremel tools. She honestly did a great job in shaping my nails though. I get almond shaped nails done and the shape and length were on point. However, she put the tips on too close to the ends of my nails so two weeks later my nails were lifting up and I caught them on stuff a couple times, which was massively painful. At the end of the manicure I told/showed the owner my bleeding fingers and he looked perplexed as to what to say or do about it. He then fumbled around in a box and gave me a promotional flyer for $3 off my next manicure. Puh-lease. It was expensive too. I got the acrylics with almond shape and black polish and it cost me $37. I had really mixed emotions at first because she was so rough that my fingers hurt for days afterwards but they looked so good it was hard to be mad. But then they started lifting two weeks later and I was like, "Nope." I won't be going back. Too expensive and not enough quality for the price. read more

Poor service, disrespectful owner/manager, no time management whatsoever. After being their customer for 3 years, I can tell you that last 6-8 months their service changed. FYI a lot of their good technicians quit because of the environment there too. I have been one of their first customer and recommended many people before but I am officially done with them as they double book appointments, cancel on you, change the technician you chose without letting you know, make you wait for 50 minutes for an appointment that you made a week ago. I used to like this salon. I was there twice before yesterday. Well yesterday i did "full set" ..the first nail fell off 25 mins after the procedure. the second today and the third was deformed. plus the woman who did my nails tried to give me a gel mani without even asking if I want it or not.I mean she didn't ask me if I want regular or gel even though I booked online if I wanted I would have taken that service (and of course it costs more.. ) I understand everyone needs to earn but not this way thinking that the client is an idiot..She was constantly saying that the shape I want is not pretty , the color i chose is not pretty... I showed her a photo of the shape I want and when she finished she asked If I like it and I said Yes (just to leave the salon for good)...I wasted $ 45 dollars and 1:30 hour ..I will never go there again. The other salons like BG in N Hollywood or queenb ( im not advertising) its just another armenian nail bar they let you to leave the tip with a card but here it was only cash so i told I'll come back to bring the tip (just out of politeness , i thought even if I didn't like it she spent time etc, but when my nail felled off I thought even better that i forgot to bring cash..) well concluding worst quality I ever experienced even the "fast" salons with walk ins do way much better with the quality!!!! PROS: - they offered me a free mimosa! - cute clean shop CONS: - I could not get them to file my nails the way I wanted, which to me was very normal rounded corners. Both times I went I was unhappy with the sharp corners. I tried to ask the technician to round the corners but they still did them a certain way that I didn't like. The second time I just filed them myself after asking several times. My only conclusion is that this must be a typical Armenian style because the shop is mostly Armenian women working. - I got stuck with an extra $5 scrub charge the first time which I was never told or asked about. read more

So came in today to get a dip manicure and a pedicure. First off, the lady doing my nails (older woman in a black shirt) told me I shouldn't get them short bc it wouldn't look good. I told her I wanted them short. After she made me feel bad for wanting them shorter I was like "fine, just have them the way they are." At the end I asked her to file them down a bit and she said "well you said they were fine" not really good customer service making your customers feel bad for what they want. Also left the place with nail polish and glue all over my fingers and uneven nails. I usually like this place but today wasn't great. Called here on a Friday because they were the closest to my office, although I was skeptical because last time I was here was maybe a year ago and it was average. I figured whatever it's just one time and it's just convenient. When I parked I noticed the sign said Under New Management. I walked in and the front desk lady asked me to pick a color and that my technician help me soon. Soon they sat me down and Gigi did my hands and Marine worked on my toes. OMG!!! These girls are awesome. Finally, FINALLY there are technicians that know how to do European manicure meaning they actually throughly clean your cuticles so now a week into it my cuticles still look fresh. The first time I visited, Donna did my nails, she's super friendly. The second time, it was Armina, excellent work. I used to do gel all the time, now I'm sticking to the dipping powder, because my nails are growing a lot, and it really protects them. They won't break , and last almost a month, until you see the growth and it's time for a change lol.
