I booked an appointment at this nail salon based on the pricing and the quality of work shown online. The pricing listed also did not lead me to believe that my set would end up costing as much as it did. Had I known I would be paying $175, I would have expected a much higher level of quality and durability. When I arrived for my appointment, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The nail technician I was scheduled with began my acrylic set, but as she started applying the acrylic, I noticed that my nails didn't look quite right. She reassured me that they would look better once they were shaped. Unfortunately, even after shaping, they still looked uneven and poorly done, almost like beginner level work. I asked if adding a chrome design might help improve the appearance, and while it did make them look slightly better, the acrylic color still didn't look right. At that point, I decided to let it go because I had already been there for nearly three hours. Less than two hours after leaving the salon, one nail broke off while I was driving, and another broke while opening a door. The following morning, I woke up to find two more nails had broken off at the exact spot where the tips had been glued. I contacted the nail technician, and she asked me to come back the following Saturday. During that visit, a manager assisted her with the repairs. I immediately noticed that the repaired nails were a different color and much thicker than the rest, apparently to prevent them from breaking again. However, the very next day, two of the original nails broke off as well. I'm writing this review because I'm extremely disappointed. I paid $175 for a set of nails that started breaking almost immediately. While the salon attempted to fix the issue, the problem continued. My nails are something I take pride in and one of the ways I treat myself each month. I never spend that much on a nail service, and to have paid that price only to end up with poor quality results is incredibly frustrating. I came here for a gelx set and a gel polish change on my toes. The other reviews about the building/inside the salon are very accurate so I won't mention them here. I wanted a short set with a light pink French tip. They did not have a suitable nude base to use for the French tip. The girl painted one hand with a base color I thought would work but it did not so I just told her to paint the whole nail pink. Even that did not look right. The nail shape and the polish job was terrible. The one picture I took doesn't even show how bad it is. I did not like the set at all. My total was $110. Insane! The girl assured me that gelx is very strong and good for people who are "hard on their hands." I constantly see this place being promoted on fb groups so I made a last minute appointment for Saturday 11/4. Stinaa was nice but the quality of work was shit. I asked for short red chrome nails, and left with nails that were lumpy, thick and weighing down my hand. Nails looked nothing like the inspo pic I showed her. I didn't like the square look so I asked for rounded edges and barely got that. The underneath of the nail was scratching my palm because it was so sharp. I had a bad gut feeling from the moment I walked in and should've just left. If you're looking for a clean nail spot, this isn't the place for you. I immediately left and went to an actual nail salon to have them fix the disaster. I was told that the nails were poorly done, chrome was not applied correctly, uneven and too thick. I texted the owner asking for a refund, only for the cost that I had to pay to fix and received a text back the next day stating that "they don't offer refunds". I didn't even bother responding bcus there's no point. Maybe they should make their clients aware of that before promoting themselves all over fb groups. Not happy with my experience today. I had an appointment today at 3pm with my mom. Showed them exactly what we wanted. My mom wanted just regular nail polish not gel. She doesn't like it and they kept pushing the special for gel. The service was not as expected at ALL her nails were barely cut. My mom kept requesting for shorter but tech didn't want to cut them short. Also they didnt say its just a steam pedicure when i asked over phone. she had white gel no pearls like the pic or the line like she requested. Tech said she didn't have time anymore for acryclic & we were unhappy. The tech to fix issue said she can charge me $25 & she will remove it making it seem that would be the charge not an additional charge . We never agreed for it be $45 +25 + 7+ tip = 79.35 for my mother to walk out with nothing done!!! I would have not paid the $25. I would have made my mother soak them off at home or let another salon do it! $79 total for nothing! When i paid for the first receipt i was under the impresion it was my cost and my mothers $25 dollar fee. On top of that they didn't even apply 10% first time client discount. My nail tech was nice but I wish my nails could look like the picture I texted them but that's fine I was more then willing to tip her bc she was nice & did complete a service. The other girl who took advantage of my mom not so much. She later asked me if my mom wants to come back in, when I got done with My service to do acrylic set service, I was like NO. I'm not going to pay for another service when the first service was not even a service and wait another 2.5hrs+ ! Pictures will show exactly what I'm talking about and how she walked out! Even my tech was like they shouldn't charge you the $45 & got the other lady to discuss it but the other lady was like that's the cost. Three ppl had to discuss what to do and they had to call someone on the phone on what to do also. My mom toe nails are not even shaped/cut nicely its jagged. She still has white paint on the edges. Here is the first receipt & pic of how my mom walked out. In total I spent $155.90. This review is coming from another beauty industry individual (not nails). This is not how you conduct business. Also I opted out of having my feet done after 3 hrs bc of what they did with my mother "service" & how they delt with the service. Also how do u promote yourself on women FB groups with all these promos/pics & make it seem this place is great. Let's see if the owner reaches out to resolve this issue. My nails came out really cute and the techs are so nice but luckily I had an agreed price (confirmed in text) because their prices were a bit much, they have a $65 French special- I got square (extra $8 for almond so I stuck with square)French with a reflective(?) coat which was a line of glitter under my French tip. They definitely nickel and dime.They tried to charge me almost $90! they said $65 for french $10 for the reflective and another $10 for "line work"?? So they are charging for the white tip and another $10 to shape the white polish?? This will be a long review. As a US Navy veteran I take where I spend my money seriously. After the service I received on Nov 11 I will never be back. First of all. Tina I think well Christina did my nails. The customer service was trash. We sat in silence the entire time she did my nails she didn't ask how I was she didn't try to make conversation who wants to sit in someone's hair for 2 plus hours with no talking lol then she kept having to reapply my nails (gel x) because the machine was malfunctioning she had to apply a few nails multiple times. By the end of my service my nails looked nothing like the picture and my total was over $240!!!! They said nothing until the end and when I said wow why is it so high she didn't care either. Nor did the manager I texted to tell her my nails looked nothing like the picture. Anyways, service was trash, work was bad for $240. I've been coming for about 6 months now. My first few sessions were great so I kept coming back - Priscilla was fantastic. Then I was told she was no longer there and they referred me to Jalyn. I was hesitant but figured why not and I'm glad because she also was great. Then went to book this week, was told Jalyn was no longer there. Of course this was frustrating but whatever. They recommended Jalyn and I was happy so I figured I'd be happy with whoever else they recommended. I was wrong. I just left the nail salon irritated as shit. My nails look like shit. I had to come home and reshaped them and apply a new top coat. I will not be coming back. Too many issues at this point and my nails are lumpy, misshapen and so ugly. They're my real nails too which is more upsetting because I can't just "soak em off" and get them redone AND they're filed crookedly so now I have to wait even longer for them to grow out so I can shape them back straight. These ladies are awesome with their nail work, I'll give them that! However....don't expect high end treatment. The building is old, definitely could use a face lift and deep clean. The Pedi chairs look over 30 yrs old, all the stuff is done or set on the floor. The girl that did my nails was nice but not very personable, just did her thing, didn't really conversate. Which is fine for some I suppose lol. Overall her work was great, some nails were crooked, which again I'm not expecting perfection, but it's obvious enough that double checking your work wouldn't hurt. There is no pride shown in this building, just a "money maker". Ladies dressed in booty shorts and half shirts. Biggest letdown is all the nickel and diming, that's a big shame! $50 for a set, then proceed to dime the shape, dime the French design. After everything said n done, it can easily come up to $100 just for a set. And mind you, these are not cheap upcharges either! $10 for a fill on EACH toe! This ain't it! I found out about this location through Tampa Talent. I reached out through Instagram and the manager was able to get me in the next day. Although I was late they were very understanding and accommodating. Mikki did my pedicure and full set. I previously had gel on my feet which she took the time to soak off rather than drill. This is important for me as my nails were very fragile once upon a time due to gel constantly being removed with a drill. Through their Instagram page I discovered that Nikki specialized in hand drawn art. I showed her some art that I like and she went above and beyond to deliver!!! This is probably the worst experience I've had as far as getting my nails done goes...I sat there for nearly 3 and a half hours for a simple French acrylic set with a design on each nail...it was 3 hrs by the time the other girl finally had a chance to start hand painting my designs, so I told her to only paint them on my thumbs bc I was over it at that point....not to mention I paid $111 after the tip for such a simple set that wasn't even worth half of that! I got them done on May 3 and it's only the 10th and I've had 2 nails pop clean off! I asked for my nails to be cut down. I asked for the shortest almond shape possible. I have been getting this shape for 10 years or more. She did not cut them at all. She only filed them. I was wondering when was she going to show me and ask if the size was short enough. They are now the length that when I need a fill in and they are too long. I also asked for the same color on my feet. She mentioned that its different because it regular polich after I said its different twice. I was hoping she was going to say do you want to switch the color because I did but I didn't want to make a big fuss. My nails are pink nude and my toes are brown nude which I don't like brown colors on my toes. Also my right hand nails are longer than my left hand especially my middle fingers. She didn't offer for me to let my toes dry she just said OK. So I am now allowing them to dry from my car. After she finished the fill in I pulled out my card so I can at least get a price she didnt mention at all. When it was time to pay she charged me 40$ for a fill, and said that she had to reshape my nails which she didn't. She then said she had to use a different color on my nails which she didn't. Thank god for the pictures in my phone to show her its the same exact color acrylic. All I received was a fill in with color acrylic and a polish change. She didn't do anything special no reshape as she claim she did and the color acrylic was tje same exact color as I showed her on my phone. She did not have to remove the old color and add a totally different color. Next time listen to the customer. My nails are way too long and my toes are not the same color. If it comes out different because its regular color please let the customer know in advance next time not after you're finish and they are complaining saying they dont like it.
