Today was the first time I've tried the service of "Nak for Plumbing" to fix some plumbing-related issues with my home, namely swapping out a new same-model garbage disposal that I bought separately to replace the old one that quite working & since they were here for that, finally using that as an opportunity to have them fix a broken sewer cleanout overflow pop-out that wasn't worth the truck roll until I needed a plumber for something else anyway. I submitted a request for a quote via a form on their website, and promptly received an email reply from Keiko (thank you Keiko!) with an estimate. I called around to get a read on other pricing and they were all in the same range, so based on Nak's review reputation, their closeness to my home, and the fact they are a small mom-and pop business and not some plumbing chain/franchise, and another employee who answered the phone, John (thank you John!), was super nice and helpful when I called, I went with them... and happy I did! Miguel from Nak showed up at the beginning of the hour window, was really nice to work with, was tidy and thorough, and took care of both tasks within about an hour. He was straightforward with me, stuck to the exact quoted pricing (because no other problems were found), allowed me to pay by credit card with no added fee, and also took the old garbage disposal and any related collateral with him, which I was really happy about. I absolutely intend to contact Nak for any future plumbing needs, and also will happily recommend them based on my own positive experience, but also because it's obvious they are good guys from both the overall reviews on Yelp as well as Google reviews. I think what impressed me most is how much time the owner John spent with me on the phone. I described my issue - a leak inside the first floor ceiling from an unknown source, probably a second floor fixture. There was a wet spot and a small hole from a different plumber who proved relatively unhelpful. John spent considerable time asking questions, suggesting possibilities, etc. He made it very clear that he hoped to avoid showing up and cutting holes in ceiling board, as water can travel. Note that the other plumber had no tools, said cameras rarely reveal leaks, and made poor suggestions... like caulking around a tub rim that hadn't been used as a shower or filled more than a few inches. John and I agreed in a plan to help identify the likely source. Twelve hours later, that proved mistaken, the "diagnosis" changed due to new information and a visit was scheduled. Their plumber and assistant arrived. My ceiling was checked in multiple areas very thoroughly with a moisture detector. The plumber spent considerable time trying to determine the pipe routes. I agreed to let them start cutting holes - they started by slightly enlarging the existing hole from the previous plumber. Inserted the camera, and located the leak in 2-3 minutes. They opened the ceiling and repaired the pinhole drip. The entire visit was under 90 minutes. The cost was much less than expected. No exaggeration- I looked at my phone - John spent almost another 90 minutes trying to help me on the phone at no charge - who else does that?! I'm convinced that, had I continued with the first plumber, I'd have holes in my ceiling board in several locations, and a much bigger bill. I've had Nak for Plumbing out for a few things and am always appreciative in knowing that when they're gone, the problem is good and solved! Recently had Sandeep out to repair a weak spot in my 4" cast iron waste stack. He looked at the pipe and discussed the options in repairing it. I chose to replace it with same (cast iron) since it much quieter than ABS. The repair looks great, the work area clean and you'd never know he was there. I then needed them to come out to do my gas earthquake valve. Once again, Sandeep did a great job. They were nice folks, but still couldn't fix the problem. I had a stopped up yard drain. NAK was very responsive. They sent somebody out the next day. Their guy worked on the problem for 2 hrs, but couldn't solve the issue. The only piece of equipment they had was a small battery powered snake. I would think that they would have a camera to check the line. Or, even a larger snake. Again, nice folks. But, they couldn't fix my problem. read more

I reached out to Nak Plumbing through Yelp and heard back within minutes. They quickly provided both an estimate and same day availabilty. After reading through their 5 star reviews, I chose them over many other companies in the area. They called me within an hour to offer up an earlier appointment that I was happy to take. Two plumbers arrived promptly, my main point of contact was Mikael. They were both very professional, COVID safe and friendly. After showing Mikael the issues he openly communicated the pricing I should expect to snake my master toilet and remove the toilet as well. The job took 3.5 hours. The clog was quite bad and they had to bring in a much stronger snaking machine. After they fixed the clog, they took the time to vacuum the backup in my shower and cleaned up after themselves. Even though the job took much longer than expected and many attempts, they stayed true to their word with the cost estimate provided. Going into this experience I was very stressed about the potential cost especially after hours passed. I was referred to Nak for Plumbing by a friend and couldn't be more pleased! From the super friendly people who answer the phones to the 10 star plumber that came out. Eugene was AMAZING, I had pulled out my kitchen faucet and plumbing to replace it all and got stuck on one slip nut on the pipe going in to the wall that had corroded and cracked and I couldn't get it off without fear of damaging the pipe going in to the wall. He had seen all the work I had done trying to do it all myself so he coached me through the whole process of getting it off and waited to make sure I got it back together leak free and didn't charge me anything for the advice.
