I was referred to Nak for Plumbing by a friend and couldn't be more pleased! From the super friendly people who answer the phones to the 10 star plumber that came out. Eugene was AMAZING, I had pulled out my kitchen faucet and plumbing to replace it all and got stuck on one slip nut on the pipe going in to the wall that had corroded and cracked and I couldn't get it off without fear of damaging the pipe going in to the wall. He had seen all the work I had done trying to do it all myself so he coached me through the whole process of getting it off and waited to make sure I got it back together leak free and didn't charge me anything for the advice. I foolishly detached an old corrugated supply line into my toilet. As soon as I was done water started dripping down. I called several plumbers, but it was too late in the evening. I called Nak for plumbing when they opened at 8 o'clock. There was a plumber at my door by nine. Mikal was efficient, polite and professional. Had a plumbing emergency this morning, water leaking everywhere from the toilet. Turned out to be crack in the old toilet tank. Floor was covered with water and I was panicking because I couldn't budge the water shutoff valve - googled and found Nak for Plumbing. They were so helpful and arranged for someone to come over very quickly (within an hour). Gave me some good advice about how to minimize the water flow since valve wasn't working. In short, kept me sane and saved my floors! Mikael arrived and quickly assessed the situation and had to turn off water to my place. The building shutoff is in a location inaccessible to me. He was so efficient and knowledgeable, and after stopping the flood of water, we discussed getting a new toilet to replace my ancient one (1970!!). He arranged that and very quickly picked up the new one and installed it, along with a new shut off valve. I can't praise Mikael highly enough, he knew what he was doing and got the job done quickly, and was a pleasure to deal with. Will be calling Nak from now on for all plumbing needs and will recommend them to my neighbors. read more

He showed up early (after calling first to make sure it would be okay) assessed the job and quoted a fair price. Very satisfied. I called Nak to fix a leak, install a new Kitchen faucet, and install a new water line outside. John came out and gave me good advice on what should be done. He even identified an area where I had cast iron pipe touching copper ( a no no). He fixed all of it. He was spot on with his time estimates, and did a very clean and professional job. Part of the job required that he go in to the crawl space under the house, while under there he identified possible termite damage and took a photograph for my review. JOHN and Keiko are amazing! They were very prompt with responses and their quote was reasonable and fair. We had a gas line installed in our place and they were very good at communicating what work needed done. We ordered a new gas stove to replace our existing electric range and it hadn't arrived before the new gas line was installed. John came back at the end of a long day on another site to help us connect the new stove. He didn't have to do that but went out of his way because we felt uncomfortable doing so. When we went to install it, we realized that the 240V plug wasn't oriented correctly so John re-positioned it for us. Truly fantastic service. I called John at Nak For Plumbing because he was recommended by a friend, whom he plumbed her whole house, and she was happy. There was a gas leak at my house. PG&E came and determined it was not their equipment and said I had the leak on my property. PG&E promptly turned off my gas and padlocked the meter. I called John, and he came right out, gave me an estimate, told me he would need a permit, and he would schedule me right away because I didn't have gas, which I needed for hot water, to use my stove and to heat my home. He worked with me when I had to change the schedule, then came out when he said he would. He re-piped my gas lines above ground, using superior material, and removed the old pipe. He scheduled the inspector to come and everything was signed off. John worked hard, and everything was professionally done. I am very happy with using his service. PG&E, on the other hand, is terrible. They were quick to turn off my gas, but are taking their sweet time to turn it back on and relight the pilots. Thumbs up for John. Nak did the copper re-pipe for our house in Concord. We had low water pressure at certain spots due to the old galvanized pipes. Their price was competitive even against PEX re-pipe proposals. Any removal of drywall was performed in a neat fashion that allowed for easier repairs afterwards. Would not hesitate to use them for future jobs. read more

The first time our hot water heater went out on Christmas day, and the second time was for a variety of small repairs, replacements, and a fussy leak. Called them to replace a bad valve in my shower, which had already been diagnosed as bad. Technician comes, without a valve, looks at shower and tells me my valve is bad. So, he then tells ME to go buy a valve, which he will come back and install. Is there more than one kind of valve? If not, why does he not have one. If yes, how do I know what to buy? Can't imagine him being any less helpful. Paid for a worthless service call and certainly did not call them back. read more

Wow! Amazing service. Prompt, polite and competent. I had a double kitchen sink blockage. I figured with enough Draino, problem would be solved. But, John, the owner, discovered the original galvanized piping (1967) had rusted so much, the rust was blocking the pipe! He replaced pipe, checked for leaks and kept mess to a minimum.
