Made it to Mill Street, Bristol, PA, at the end of their annual Bristol Stroll, which had turned Mill Street into a pedestrian mall for the day. I was able to park on the street about two blocks away and amble over to Naked Brewing Bristol Taproom. Short walk. Beautiful day. The brewery is mid-block on the west side of the street, looking its age as a late 19th Century enterprise. Bar in back. Tables up front and to the side, with wall shelves and stools for the sometimes SRO crowd. Live music in the basement from local bands. I sat at the bar, served by several lovelies who were in total control and set the vibe. I went with a 7 oz Mango Starfighter was a slightly sour/sweet beer with turmeric coloration. Liked it. But, what drew me to Naked was their collaboration with Cheese Dawgs who ran the kitchen with a primary menu of creative hot dogs at reasonable prices. Burgers, salads and sandwiches were likewise available. I chose their Philly Dog (mustard, pepper hash, onions) and New England (Boston baked beans). Both were tasty, fun and drip worthy. The frankfurters weren't all beef, but they were good enough. The rolls held their contents, but for the over abundance of ingredients spilling over the top. I asked for a spoon to handle that, and a server promptly obliged with a smile. But for the absence of tater tots and fries, I would have preferred an Italian Hot Dog, but it was a very busy day, and I wouldn't hold that against them for running out of some supplies. I had a decent conversation with both another customer and the beermaids, so all in all it was a pleasant and delicious afternoon. 5 Naked Stars for this surprisingly comfortable beer hall

A beer flight and a book while waiting for my fish and chips; heaven!

I love this little pub! The beer selection is fantastic, the prices are great, and the service is stellar. The incredibly delicious and varied beer selection is wonderful and very well priced. They have flights and choices in multiple sizes. I also love the warm, rustic feel of the pub. There is food...fantastic bar/beer compatible food. The fish and chips are basic, but delicious; good comfort food. The dogs and sausages pair perfectly with the beer and my family loved it. The service is attentive without being smothering. The servers all had smiles and were happy to talk about the beer and the food and offer recommendations. And, there is a basement that hosts bands. I stayed upstairs, but could enjoy the music. Wonderful experience. All in all, Naked Brewing is a delightful, affordable, incredible find and I am happy to recommend them.

Friends invited us to join them last weekend as there was a band playing that they enjoy. We were able to swing it! We got there around 8, for beers and sat outside. We enjoyed the music from a picnic table outside which was perfect! The weather was beautiful and the beer was GREAT! I had the caramel milk stout. They close at 11 so we stayed until then. It was a nice place that I will definitely go to again!

Cheese Dawgs is the kitchen here. The hot dog flights are stupid good. So many combos and very affordable. We enjoyed the beer. I highly recommend Heart. Kind of tasted like a tootsie roll. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. It's a very cute place with plenty of games to play.

Roll, meat, and cheese, it's a cheesesteak. It's not going to win any cheesesteak contest, but this was a great stop. Friendly, professional bartender. Bar and table seating. The Brisket Chopped Cheese comes on a very nicely made and toasted seeded roll. The meat was very good. It may have been better in a pile and eaten with a fork. It came with cole slaw and spicy aioli. They added a ton of great flavor. I liked my beer. I considered getting a second one. The guy next to me told me he liked my shirt, so he won a t-shirt. Funny side bar, his wife was across the street at the hospital in labor while he was at the bar drinking beer and winning a t-shirt.

We picked La Cabra for a late lunch for no reason other than we had never been there before. There were more people inside than we anticipated so we bellied up to the bar and began asking questions. The bartender was fantastic. Not only did he let me taste a couple of house beers before I made my selection, he recommended different items on the menu.. all which turned out to be great. We started with the buffalo chicken dip. Loved it! It had great flavor.. smoky... with lots of chicken and great thick corn chips. While we worked on the appetizer, we struggled over sauce selections for our sandwiches. Our fab bartender were offered us samples of all of them. I loved the pit sauce. They are all housemade.. and so good, we took home the leftovers. Beware the dangerously spicy one though. It can take your lips off but it goes great with a beer. We ordered pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. Both were moist, tender, infused with smokieness.... so good, I asked about the smokemaster. It turns out there are two La Cabras. One makes the beer and this place handles the smoke so we made an excellent choice in locations. We also got cole slaw, beans and mac-n-cheese. The cole slaw was crisp, very fresh. They made a very different take on beans. Large smoky beans and no gooey sweet BBQ sauce. The mac-n-cheese was a massive hit and if you love this dish, they have entree size takes on it. By now we were full, very happy and feeling a bit guilty that our kids missed such a great meal. We ordered dirty chocolate pudding as takeout and La Cabra went all in. The kids loved this chocolately cakey pudding that came complete with gummy worms. We will definitely go back for more and maybe tonight now that I have remembered how great the food was, thanks to this review.

I dont know if they weren't expecting the crowd that they got, but it got very loud to the point you could barely hear the band. Kept getting bumped into by other patrons hanging around our table, hanging on our table, etc. There were only 2 people working the bar with such a crowd that it took almost 20 minutes just to get someone's attention when we wanted to settle up. We wanted to stay longer but it was just way too crowded. I really dont know if I'll go back.

Out front, every table was packed shoulder to shoulder with what appeared to be a local running group in post-run celebration. Laughter, sweat, and IPAs filled the air. Inside, however, it was the crowd was sparse, save for two small groups competing in Harry Potter trivia, an event we hadn't realized was happening. After the first round, one of those tables gave up and left. That should have made the place quieter, but the trivia host's amplifier made sure it did not. Even from the far corner, it was nearly impossible to hold a conversation without shouting. It was as though someone had mistaken the volume knob for a test of strength. The bartender, to his great credit, was friendly and quick, the kind of person who makes you feel like maybe the night will work out after all. The beers themselves were fine. I tried the Pineapple Express milkshake IPA and the porter. Both were serviceable, neither was memorable. The brewery allows outside food, which is a small mercy. Being on Farnsworth, there are plenty of good places to bring something in from. They also sell simple snacks like chips and jerky, a practical touch that suits the space. Still, the whole experience left me puzzled. The place seems to want to be a neighborhood hub, but it can't decide whether to be a quiet refuge or a loud event hall. Empty yet loud, welcoming yet difficult to linger in. I wouldn't drive out of my way to return, but if a friend suggested meeting there, I'd go. I'd just hope the trivia host had the night off.
