I've been getting Botox on the forehead including at this company's SoCal locations, and I've always been happy with my results. This time was completely different. My forehead barely responded, and my husband actually received a higher dose than he had in the past, yet his results were noticeably worse too. What disappointed me even more was how our concerns were handled. I called several times on Saturday and no one answered. No one called me back either. After following up by text, it took five days to get a response. When they finally replied, they told me that Botox isn't guaranteed to remove static lines and suggested skincare or microneedling. That wasn't even my concern. I know Botox doesn't erase every wrinkle. I've been getting it for years. My concern was that my results were dramatically different from previous treatments, despite using the same provider and even increasing the dosage. I explained all of this in my response and also shared that this wasn't the first time I've had concerns with this location. Unfortunately, my concerns were essentially ignored, and no solution or follow-up was offered. No treatment is perfect every time, and I understand that. What I don't understand is how a patient can be ignored for five days after multiple calls, receive no callback, and then be given a generic response that doesn't address the actual issue. Customer service is just as important as the treatment itself. It's been 19 days since my appointment for forehead Tox and lip filler, and overall, my experience was mixed. I'm very happy with my forehead Tox results. I got the smooth, frozen look that I personally prefer, and my brow arch stayed exactly where I wanted it. In the past, other med spas have altered my brow shape more than I'd like, so I was really pleased that didn't happen here. The lip filler, however, wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. While Jennifer did a great job making my lower lip slightly fuller than my upper lip, just as I requested, my upper lip lacks the definition I wanted. Specifically, I was hoping for a more pronounced vermilion border and a defined Cupid's bow, but instead my upper lip looks a bit rounder and softer than expected. That said, this may have been a communication issue on my part. Jennifer was kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. Looking back, I think bringing a reference photo would have helped me better explain the look I was going for. A friend who was with me showed a photo for her own appointment, and her Cupid's bow came out beautifully defined, which is the aesthetic I had in mind. This was my first visit to this med spa and only my second time getting lip filler (my first was about four years ago). I received collagel at this medspa about a month ago. During the procedure, a complication occurred that has left a persistent red mark on my cheek, it hasn't changed at all! I have received fillers for my cheeks two times with different providers and this has never happened before. I understand that complications are a risk of any procedure. My 1-star review is not because the complication happened; although they may be at fault too and I will figure that out when I visit my dermatologist, it is because of the spa's response. Not to mention, I am hoping to get the results from the collagel, I am not optimistic about that either. A professional medical spa should stand by its patients and its outcomes. They should take responsibility for managing any complications that arise from their own procedures. This spa failed to do that. I cannot recommend a practice that abandons a patient as soon as something doesn't go perfectly. I am truly devastated by this. And I really this never happens to anyone. I had a great experience with every person that interacted with me. My artist injector, Vonne, is so talented. I'm very satisfied. There are some points I want to put out there for the clinic. It was warm and stuffy in the lobby as well as the rooms. Being hot or warm can dilate blood vessels which could increase bleeding during an injection procedure. Lastly, the person who brought me in was nice, as well as the other person who did my consultation. However, the short interaction they had between each other in front of me made me feel sorry for the person consulting me. She asked where the mirrors were and the other person just said "I don't know, I don't know," and closed the door. It just seemed dismissive and they offered no help.
