We have eaten there before and have had excellent food and service. We at there on Friday July 6th in the evening this time. The fajitas were overcooked and the meat was extremely dry and tough. Me and friend went here last summer after people at work raved about it. We were not impressed with cold food when we got it 40 minutes after ordering. After seeing more rave reviews on Yelp, I decided to try it one more time. We got there early at 5:10 so it was not busy yet. I had called earlier in the day to find out what flavors of churros were being served right now. They had strawberry, chocolate, and tres leches (thick caramel) fillings. I wanted to sample something different from last time's tacos. So I ordered one cheesy potato bacon empanada, one chicken empanada, and one pork tamale. Also a small 4oz order of guacamole to go with the complimentary chips and salsa. I then decided on the Tres Leches churro for dessert. My friend ordered 2 hard shell tacos and one soft shell. We got two pops and sat down. Now they have a fountain machine for self serve pop. Last time it was only cans. The chips and salsa came right away and two minutes later the bowl of guacamole. I ordered the small (4 ounces- $4) I think this was more than four ounces. It was fresh, chunks of avocado, diced tomatoes, red onions, garlic, cilantro. I was very good!! The salsa was chunky and mild. The green taco sauce is supposed to be the mild, but it was a little much for me. The food runner boy came out shortly after and said they were out of the cheesy bacon potato, so I got the spicy ham with cheese and jalapeno. We had our food by 5:30 fresh out of the fryer, still sizzling grease on my empanadas. They cut them in half to let some steam and heat out which is nice. But still too hot to eat, so I unwrapped the tamale from the corn husk first. It had a red colored shredded pork filling but quite a bit more masa than anything. I smeared some guacamole on the open end of the empanada and ate it that way to cool it off some more. I was getting full and ended up eating the filling out with a fork with guacamole on the spicy ham one. There were plenty of diced jalapenos in there so the guacamole helped cut that heat. My friend enjoyed his tacos much more this time since they were hot and he didn't have to sit for 35 minutes. They were just the plain ground beef. Kinda boring to me! Finally it was time for my churro! It was crispy and sugary on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside and ohh the tres leche was oozing out all over. YUMM! I almost got it down but for one bite. This experience was much more better than our first visit 8 months ago and will be going back to try other things on the menu. read more

Great Mexican food with quality customer service. There were many vegetarian options to choose from. They ask if you're a vegetarian as well so they can prepare your meal separately to ensure that it doesn't get mixed with the preparations for any meat dishes. The burrito is massive and delicious and the nachos were really fresh. Their salsa was really good too and added a nice kick to our meal. Went there on a weeknight to dine in. It's a no frills, order at the counter kind of place. We got bottled drinks but it looked like they had fountain sodas with free refills. Chips and salsa were included and tasted good. The carnitas were excellent!! I loved the pico, it complemented the pork perfectly. 3 tacos each with added beans and rice plus the drinks were only around $18. Great prices! Food was alright, nice to find veggie fajitas, but service was rude. They messed up our order, and then didn't give us something we ordered and claimed it wasn't on the ticket, we had to ask for it three times and then they made us pay for it. I wouldn't return on principle, especially cause they switched out people halfway through taking our order so it definitely wasn't on us that something got missed, on top of messing up one of our orders. I really wanted to enjoy the food and the atmosphere. The young man who took our order acted as if we were bothering him because this was our first time. My parents went into this establishment to have lunch today. They sat at a table because a booth wasn't enough room. During their meal the employee told them they were being moved, grabbed their food and moved it to another table claiming they had a party coming in. Both declined due to them not being able fit. The party apologizes to them for how they were treated before my parents left without finishing their lunch. My mom called and tried to get a refund for the horrible service and unfinished food and she was told "you people came in to cause trouble, sitting at a big table". My mom explained how she being the customer shouldn't be treated that way. The owner explained he doesn't care and how he didn't want her kind of people for customers anyway. (Her kind meaning my father who is black) They visit this establishment almost every Tuesday, but after this they won't be returning. It's a shame. read more

Not to mention it's next to a gas station with cheap prices. We were having a tough time deciding what to get so the owner surprisingly threw in a free tomale! What a nice guy. And might I add, it was very yummy, the best I've ever had. They are very accommodating to vegetarians and offer yummy suggestions. The veggie quesadilla was heavenly. Tortilla chips are just thick enough, tostadas are just thin enough, and salsas are fire roasted.
