california burritos is very mid. i can't say i crave it or even love it when i eat it. their rice is kind of hard sometimes, and their chicken is pretty flavorless. sometimes it just hits though. i think they could really improve with new seasonings, and it could be such a good place. it's giving burrito subway. read more

We LOVE California burrito. Their queso is SO good, I usually get that with a steak burrito bowl and chips. The asada fries are out of this world, the serving is huge, and while I'd love to say it's enough to share, just get your own it's that good! My husband loves the steak burrito. I want to preface this review by stating I think 3.5 is the most appropriate rating. The reason why I leaned higher rather than lower was because the customer service was awesome. We were greeted when we walked in and given a nice good bye when we left. I had a chicken burrito bowel. The rice was soft. I was given a hefty portion of chicken. The black beans were good as well as all of the veggies I placed in my bowel. My issue with the restaurant is that the chicken was not too flavorful. However, the bowel as a whole definitely tasted fresh. The chips were not salted and were relatively thin, which I wasn't a fan of. I didn't try the salsa it was served with. But as that was was inconsequential to the main meal, I neither added or subtracted points from my score. read more

Food is great, but I am not going back until you take this COVID-19 epidemic more seriously. We walked in wearing masks and found both employees at the front of the store only wearing gloves - no masks. All of the ingredient bins are wide open and your employees have to talk to customers in front of the food so any expectorant coming from their mouths falls directly on the good that is being built into the bowls, tacos, etc. read more

My co-worker eats here often so I decided to give it a try. I won't be back. I ordered a chicken quesadilla. I asked for mild pico with it, did not get any. Nice staff, but burritos are not on par with Chipotle or Qdoba, and they whack you for what those 2 include in their burritos. Better tasting then Pancheros or Moe's(of course those 2 places serve garbage). Horchata is not made there-could barely tell it was Horchata. However, what really surprised me was that the steak they use has great flavor and is fairly tender. Not sure I would go back unless I have a coupon to offset the ridiculous pricing. read more
