7 course beef but only 5 in the pic.
    John G.

This place was recommended by a local relative. Looks like it's a local favorite. I ordered 7 course beef but only 5 showing here, I took this pic before the remaining 2 beefs arrived. This place is definitely my new favorite. Don't let the pic fool you, I didn't expect this dish would be enough for 3 of us. As far as taste, it definitely can rival the same dish in Orange County & Houston.

I love that you can find a lot of Vietnamese dishes that you won't ever see at your typical pho restaurants! We stopped by on a Friday night around 7 PM and it wasn't too busy - it was located in a plaza so lots of available parking. For food, we ordered the Bo Tai Chanh, Nem Cua, Banh Xeo, Bun Cha Hanoi & Bun Bo Hue. The Bo Tai Chanh and Nem Cua were our favourite!! The Bo Tai Chanh was perfectly tangy and sour, paired with the shrimp chips was literally Heaven in my taste buds LMAO It was also my first time trying Nem Cua and I loved it!! I wish every pho resturants offered this now LOL The appetizers were definitely the stars of the night, as our main courses were just ok. The Bun Cha Hanoi was good - but not the best we've had. The Bun Bo Hue was the weakest dish - the broth should be very rich and spicy but it was just way too sweet and mild. The sweetness overpowered everything, I could not taste any lemon grass, shrimp paste or spice. I was surprised as this is one of their speciality items, maybe I came on an off day? Either way this was definitely not a deal breaker because I would still come try to try their other dishes their apps were too good! Solid 3.5/5 but with the delicious apps so I'll round to a 4 :)

I've been to MANY many MANY pho restaurants over the GTA and will tell you that this place is in the top 3 of the best pho. They simmer their pho broth for more than 10 hours and you can definitely taste the quality of the broth. They simmer their ox tale and bones for hours - it is super delicious. The broth is so clear and taste amazing on its own. My mom and I have ordered the house special which comes in one size and has a bit of everything. I'm not a big fan of tripe because some places don't clean it properly but this place took the time to prepare it the way I like it. Pieces weren't too big and perfect to chew. The tendon was simply super soft and I didn't need to chew it, that was one of my favorite thing about this soup. Another thing that I loved was the size of the noodles. The perfect pho size noodles - not too thin or too thick. Not overcooked and delicious. The thing that took this experience to another level was the different type of spices they had. Chilli oil, sambal, PICKLED hot peppers with GARLIC, bird eyed chillis - holy moly - I was so impressed and loved it all in my soup, the only thing missing was the fried garlic. We also ordered the pork spring rolls, it was fried in the traditional rice paper wrap - I loved it. It gave a different crispy texture that I enjoyed and gave me the authentic viet dining experience. Not too greasy and was DELICIOUS. My mom loves ordering the fresh spring rolls. We chose the pork and shrimp, it was wrapped beautifully and paired with the delicious peanut hoisin sauce. I would definitely recommend. Place was super clean and service was amazing. Had a nice talk with the owner, I can't wait to come back with my husband and it is definitely worth the drive from Newmarket. I can't wait to try the banh xeo and congee. This place has a lot more dishes to offer than your average pho places. Enjoy and happy eating fellow yelpers!

Omg, I don't know how this resto is not getting the attention it should deserve. I mean it's 5 mins away from Vaughan Mills and the food is just so good!! I normally don't like banh xeo but the banh xeo here is on point and they were so crunchy and delish I could literally finish 2 dishes :) bun bo hue is also good in my opinion (I could taste the lemongrass and shrimp paste!). The service was really friend and attentive too, I would 100% recommend this place!!!!! And they even gave us free fruits for dessert, loves

    7 flavors of Beef congee

Nice place in a nice plaza. Pretty clean with really nice staff! The food is really out of this world! Delicious food with great service is an A+ for me! We ordered the 7 flavor of beef to share along with the chicken wings! The three of us are so full and satisfied especially when we paid! Good prices Will be coming here again when I come back to this area!

Top plate is the normal, bottom plate is the "upgrade" with a burnt spring roll.

Order a Uber order and was totally disappointed. Barely any meat with my vermicelli. I even paid extra for some extra meat. My spring roll was burnt too. Meat to noodles ratio is a joke. If I wanted to just get noodles and some veggies with petty meat, I could have gone to a soup kitchen. Buyers beware.

    Fresh noodle pho

Came around 2pm on a Friday and the server was super friendly, told us that the menu is quite large and for us to take our time. We ordered spring rolls, medium pho, a bun bo hue, and two iced coffees. The noodles came pretty quickly but we were slightly disappointed that they were fresh noodles instead of the dry ones that we preferred - usually when there are two options they ask us what we like. BBH was awesome. Soup was nice and hot and very delicious flavours. There may have been a mixup or misunderstanding because our spring rolls never came, which is fine because we were full anyway. They had a 15% off promo which is pretty sweet. Overall I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area.

I came here for lunch with my mom on a Sunday. The restaurant was a little busy but we were seated right away. This place is more upscale so the servers would take the orders instead of the typical order sheets from viet restaurants. I ordered Pho while my mom ordered Hu Tieu. The food was pretty good and I liked that fresh noodles are used here. My mom liked her noodles too, her only complaint was the shrimp could have been better quality. The menu is also extensive, there are items that aren't typically served at other viet restaurants like Mi Quang. While the food was good, the service was lacking. There was only one server and he took everyone's order but skipped my table for some reason. I had to call out to the girl at the cash register to take my order. I'll probably still come back because I want to try the Mi Quang. Hopefully the service will be better.

Bun cha ca (vermicelli with fish cakes)

Recommend checking this new Vietnamese spot out if you are in the area! Came by on a Saturday around 1:45pm after doing some shopping at vaughan mills. Located in a plaza with plenty of clinics and other food spots, parking is not an issue. Ordered the bun cha hanoi ($13) (vermicelli with grilled pork & pork sausage) while mom got the bun cha ca ($12) (vermicelli noodle soup with fish cakes). The dipping sauce that came with the bun cha hanoi was the highlight, with a slightly sweet taste to it (fish sauce based) and with plenty of pork belly and sausage. I am fairly sure that the sauce was intending to be spread over the noodles, but since it was not overpowering I just placed the noodles in the sauce! Its served with vegetables on the side so its also possible to eat it like a wrap style, or simply all tossed together. The noodles were also very nice and fresh. Only had the broth of the bun cha ca, but the broth was very nice with a good tomato flavour. It seemed like there was also a wide assortment of fish toppings and a good portion of noodles as well. Have to also give a shoutout to the iced coffee ($4.5), as the flavour is strong and totally on point. Service was great and super friendly, especially when we asked about the menu (as it does seem quite large initially). They are newly opened so the food came out a bit slower, but understandable. Wish they had a printed drink menu but it is also available on their website. Prices are reasonable & they take credit as well (amex included). Nice family run restaurant with a good selection and more importantly, good flavours!

    Chef's special
    Patrick X.

Checked this place out today. The service was fine, enough attendants for a place that was not so busy at the time. The vibe seemed to be not for fine dining. The place was clean. Had their chef's special pho. Overall it was decent. The rare beef, the brisket, the tendon, the beef ball, the tripe, the ox tail (only a very small piece) and the chicken were all cooked well. The broth was flavorful, but a little too salty to my likings. The herbs were acceptablely fresh. The fresh rice noodles were fine. Does the premium for chef's special justify? Doubtfully.

They had fried rice noodles and beef, cantonese style?!
    Jon L.

Stopped in on the way down to the airport and needed a variety of food options for family. They had good vietnamese food plus a variety of other asian foods to offer all of us what we wanted to eat. The milkshake was also good.

    Beef on rice plate

Came here for a second time over the weekend and overall had a great experience. We ordered rare beef pho and beef on rice plate as well as fresh spring rolls. The spring rolls took about 20 minutes to reach our table which personally I feel is a bit long but taste wise was very good. Pho is good and one of the better pho dishes I've eaten. The pricing is average for pho but overall well priced. Restaurant itself is clean and well maintained and staff are polite and attentive. Will be returning

Tips: - This place takes debit and cash only…read more - The hot tea is scorching hot. A couple of Wednesdays ago, after work, I had an early dinner at this Pho Anh Vu on Highway 7 in Vaughan, between Keele and Jane streets. I have passed by this eatery a number of times since it opened. It was time to check it out. This location used to be Veg Italiano. There used to be a pho place a few doors down. It is now a Turkish eatery. This small plaza does have some turnover. However, the Turkish place and this eatery have been here for at least a couple of years. I hope they remain. I got here at around 3:30 pm. I had no problem finding a parking spot. I backed into a vacant one and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a male staffer. I got to sit wherever I wanted. I chose a booth by the window. I got menus to peruse. There were two other tables with customers. It was nice. Hot tea came to me with two cups. The hot tea was exceptionally piping hot. I used both cups to pour tea into them and let them cool. I was ready to order. It took a long time to get a server to come over. The woman at the counter noticed that I was ready and flagged the male server to take my order. I got these items: - Soda lemonade - Grilled chicken on vermicelli with spring rolls My soda lemonade came first. It was fizzy, cold, and refreshing. I loved it so much. I would get it again in a heartbeat. It also helped me down my food as I waited for my hot tea to cool down. When my tea was finally at a temperature that wouldn't scorch my tongue, it was fragrant and yummy. I loved the grilled chicken. It was flavourful and grilled to perfection. The vermicelli was generous and yummy. The spring rolls were stuffed and crispy. This dish came with dipping sauce that I ended up pouring on everything. I feel that I needed more of it. I paid at the counter with a debit card. I tapped and was good. This eatery got busy after 4 pm. My guess is that everyone came to watch the Canada-Switzerland FIFA game. It got tense in the place. Eventually, Canada lost this game. I used the washroom before I left. It was beautiful and clean. It's a decent location that serves good food. The tea was too hot. Service started off slow, but was a lot better once my order was place. I'd love to return to try more items off the menu. (280)

Service was relatively fast despite it being very busy. Team was friendly and knowledgeable. A little bit of communication would have been nice, just got the "it's coming" the two times I asked about where it was, no timeline or anything. Spring rolls were kind of bland, no real flavour - however the crunchiness hits the spot. Bun bo hue when it arrives is truly amazing! The perfect amount of spice - makes you sweat a bit without killing you - you can still taste everything you're eating! I do prefer Toronto's Pho Anh Vu over the Vancouver location, somehow the Bun Bo Hue doesn't hit the same over here.

We always order Pho Nam (XL $21.50) as well and both come loaded with a heaping portion of brisket slices in the piping hot noodle soup. From time-to-time, we also add the Banh Xeo savoury egg pancake which arrives on a huge plate even larger than the noodle bowls. Presented with a heap of greens & herbs, the crispy golden crepe is light and filled with bits of shrimp, pork, onions & bean sprouts. My friend, Chris, suggested that we visit Vietnoms after a Yelp experience that made us crave something more. Luckily, it wasn't too far away. However, it was during rush hour on a Wednesday. We got here separately. This eatery is in a plaza that has a FreshCo anchoring it. The plaza has plenty of parking. I pulled into a spot and met up with Chris. This place has limited spots for dining inside. We had no problem grabbing a table. There is bar seating at the front. This place has a patio. However, it was too hot to sit outside, even with a large patio umbrella at each table. We were greeted and seated promptly. We got menus. This place has its regular menu and off-menu specials. Wow! I remember Crosstown BBQ had a collaboration with Vietnoms. Sadly, I missed it. Chris got these items: - Water - Banh mi dip My order consisted of these items: - Cold tea - Matcha lemonade - Rare beef and beef ball pho (small) I asked how large the large bowl of pho was. He pointed at a man's bowl. It was large, so I went small. The cold tea was refreshing. It came in a teapot. I loved it so much that I poured the remaining tea in my empty cup that once had my matcha lemonade. The drinks here are solid. I loved my matcha lemonade. There was no matcha powder grit in my drink. It was perfectly blended. The lemonade part had lemon preserve, which made it super yummy. I'd get this drink again in a heartbeat. My pho order was messed up. I spent a while trying to find beef balls. I realized that I had rare beef and beef brisket. It was also a large. Chris was the first to point out to our server that I didn't have any beef balls. I fished out the two types of proteins that were in my pho. He was apologetic and wanted to make things right. I frankly wasn't offended by this mistake. The proteins were yummy. The pho was excellent. Although it was a large, I was able to down it. The broth was delicious. Our server came over with a bowl of six beef balls and a lot of green onions in the broth. He apologized again. It was great that this place wanted to make everything right. For someone who wanted a small pho, I ended up with a massive meal. Thank goodness I didn't order an appetizer! I am a beef ball person. The beef balls hit the spot. The extra green onions made me so happy. I loved them. Chris enjoyed his banh mi dip. At first, he felt that the dip part was too salty. However, when we dipped his banh mi halves into it, the broth was fine. I need to get what he got next time. It looked incredible, especially the brisket in the baguette. I used the washroom before I left. It was compact and clean. No issues. We paid at the front counter. I paid with a credit card for both of us, as Chris had cash. I now have a running tab to pay him back. This place was awesome and a great suggestion. I suspect that dining here on a weekend would be difficult because it's such a small indoor dining area with limited seating. We came on a weeknight at nearly 6 pm and it was perfect. I'd return to get more good eats. It's an awesome addition to this plaza. (342)

I have been wishing to try this place for a long time. Recently I saw IG post showing their Bánh…read moreCanh Cua's generous crab portion.... so I could not wait and here I was today. Unfortunately, server told me that they just ran out of crab so no Bánh Canh Cua that I was looking for, which was understandable as this is apparently a popular item. But I could not believe what the server said next. "So, we use imitation crab instead. Is it ok for you?" Of course not. So I ordered something else. But then, I thought, do they really think that real crab is replaceable by imitation crab? Do they think it is okay? If it is ok for them, to me, it is a huge problem. We ordered: - Vietnamese Beef Carpaccio - Charred Beef Rib (Phở Sườn Bò) - Bún Riêu Beef Carpaccio seems to be another popular item here, but I was disappointed. When I order Carpaccio, I expect ultra-fresh raw beef. Here, they use fully cooked sliced beef. If it is named as "sliced beef salad," then I would have felt this dish to be decently tasty. However, because it is named "Carpaccio", I was disappointed, even felt deceived. Charred Beef Rib's presentation was dramatic, hot soup was poured in to the bowl in front of me. However, I was sad to see that all the rare beef turned fully cooked hard before my very eyes. I should have ordered rare beef on the side. Soup lacked depth, rib meat was hard to separate from the bone, and a bit dry. Holding the hot bone trying hard to bite to separate the meat was very difficult. I also felt odd to see that on the accompanying dish (for fresh veggies toppings) had lemon wedges, not lime. That's another disappointment. Bun Rieu. I stopped eating this halfway. First, I did not feel Crab flavor. There are only 2 small pork meatball with no Crab flavor, just hard pork meatball with excessive black pepper. No piece or trace of Crab. Sausage slices had wrong texture (not smooth). Bone in pork was hard and chewy. It is supposed to be fall-off-the-bone tender. So there was not much to enjoy. I am not sure why this place is so popular and highly rated. May be they are skilled in advertising in social media. Or may be I was just super unlucky :(. Probably I am not returning.
