Wow! I have no idea how long this place has been here, but we left the house in search of an Indian dinner. I planned to go to Neehee's, but my partner did not want vegetarian food, so I searched on Yelp, and this place was nearby. I am so grateful that we found it! The restaurant is clean, light, and well taken care of. The waitstaff is okay, and the kitchen staff who helped the waitstaff was excellent. The food ... is delicious. We started off with Gobi Manchurian. This is one of my favorite dishes. It was perfectly cooked, slightly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and well-seasoned. It had a kick, but it wasn't overly hot. My partner enjoyed his lamb vindaloo, and though I love to say vindaloo, I'm just not a fan of this dish. However, my chicken tikka masala was delightful. The sauce was perfectly spiced, it held heat, but it wasn't overwhelming. The chicken was tender. We ate our main dishes with a shared side of rice. Indian food sometimes seems pricy due to all the spices and how long things take to cook. We were out the door for less than $30 before tip, which I found very reasonable. Came here for lunch today with couple of people; ordered the butter chicken lunch special and lamb Briyani. The lunch special was great- comes with naan, rice, 2 sides and dessert. For $10 the deal can't be beat. Almost hit food coma. The lamb briyani was also flavorful. Kinda on the spicier side but still really good. All food seem to be prepared fresh, and comes out hot. Recommend coming here. The restaurant is clean, and and well lit. The staff is friendly and get you anything you ask fairly quickly. I normally go to NeeHees in Canton but this time decided to try something new. I'm glad I did. They have a wide variety of dishes on the menu. All dishes are at reasonable prices and are at good proportions. I ordered a masala dosa, chicken biryani, tandoori, and naan. (The naan did not come with the tandoori and had to be ordered separately). This was spilt between 4 people and there was a lot to eat. The food was cooked well however if you want it spicy I would advise you to request it. The restaurant was clean and well spaced. The service was quick and efficient. Namaste Flavours in FH is probably one of my favorite restaurants around. Imagine my surprise when I found out they opened a brand new, shiny location in Canton a few weeks ago. There's a different chef here so the dishes taste very close to the original location, some of them I feel were actually better, here! Service is super friendly as always. Everything here is a la carte, so your actual curries and dishes don't come with anything. Therefore make sure to order some rice, naan, or other breads. Appetizer wise the samosas are a sure win, though my favorites are gobi (cauliflower) manchurian and chicken 65. Special chicken biryani, paneer tikka masala (veg), pepper chicken curry, butter chicken, navratam korma (veg) and kadai paneer (veg) are all awesome dinner options. Don't forget a mango lassi! If you're looking for flavorful food and lots of vegetarian and meat options, Indian is always a great choice. Pair that with friendly service, late opening hours and seriously delicious renditions of stand-by's and Namaste Flavours might become one of your favorites, too! read more

Namaste is the canton's best Indian restaurant, but when I took takeaway of chicken briyani & CHILLI paneer, on that day it quit average food ..too much raw garlic flavor on the CHILLI paneer & no flavor in the briyani felt plain rice only. Ordered carry out from here but wasn't really impressed with the food. We got the haryali chicken kabob which wasn't the most flavorful, and the kadai lamb which the meat was not at all tender and very tough to chew. Perhaps we ordered the wrong things and they have other dishes that are their specialty, but with all the Indian food options around Canton, I don't know that I would come back. read more

Delicious and halal Indian food! The chicken tikka masala was perfectly spiced and super creamy. We paired that with the Chicken Masala Naan which is something we haven't seen before at any other Indian restaurant. We also ordered the plain rice which is fantastic alone or smothered in creamy Tikka masala. The Chicken 65 has a generous portion seeing as how it's an appetizer. The exterior is crispy and spicy and the interior is perfectly cooked. We ended our hearty meal with the softest gulab jaman I've ever had. I went for a trip to michigan and found this restaurant with decent ratings on google maps.. when I called them to order food, since dal tadka was not on the "menu images" in google maps, i have specifically asked if dal tadka item is available and they told its available but when i picked up the food and went back to home and opened the food it was dal makhani.. seriously disappointed with them.. since i was busy travelling i have decided to call them once i return home..i returned home sunday night but they were already closed and they are closed on monday too it seems.. finally i talked to them tuesday which is today requesting refund just for that item and they are not agreeing..very very disappointing and i will never recommend this restaurant to my friends and family in michigan.. read more

Guy on the the phone specifically said that he cant make chicken biryani spicy but he can can do it for chilly. both dishes had the same meat in them almost like they just added rice to make it biryani and spring onions to make it chilly. I always love places that has a small menu, because even with a small menu, the fact that they can still have that high of a rating means what they do, they do well. I was also secretly glad to see they don't offer buffets of any sort because you'd know they don't make stuff in super large batches like they would for a buffet. You can't beat the lunch specials. For $10 you get appetizer, soup, entree with rice, naan, and dessert. The food came out really quickly and was fresh. My lamb curry ($2 extra and worth it) was wonderful and it had a little kick to it, which I enjoyed a lot. It's spicy, but not so much that all you can taste afterwards was the heat. The first time I went here the food and service was amazing. I went this past weekend and brought my brother from out of town. We waited for our food for over two hours, we were brought the wrong appetizer, we were charged for an appetizer we didn't order, I ordered a mango drink that the waiter gave away (the fridge was stocked when we arrived) , he would dash away mid sentence, we never were brought water, and the wrong entrees were delivered to the table. To make matters worse the waiter tried to convince us that was what we ordered. The place was crazy busy with take out orders but especially when brining someone from out of town, it was a horrible experience. At the end of the ordeal we were charged full price and for extra items we didn't order. I don't think I will go back, which makes me sad because I really enjoyed the food the first time. read more

The food was great until we found a bug in our dish. It was some kind of beetle about the size of a nickel! Gross! This was probably the first time I found a bug in my meal and it grossed my girlfriend and myself out so much we will never return. To make matters worse, the staff would not give a refund for our meal. The waiter did whisper to us at one point, "was the bug in the rice or the bread?". Picked up food for dinner. The food tasted weird from the get go but we initially just dismissed it as a one off. We had left overs for the next day. But the food tasted really stale by lunch. That is when we realized that the food was already stale when we picked it up the previous night. We stored in cold temperatures all the time but that still dint help. This goes beyond bad tasting food and gets in the health hazard zone. It seems the place is reheating and selling stale food. Never ever going back. read more

If you're not familiar with dosa, it's like a giant, rice flour crepe that smells like fresh butter and comes to you hot off the griddle with love inside. These things are massive and you will find yourself in awe of the giant envelope of dosa goodness that arrives at your table. It's both crispy and fluffy and melts in your mouth. Dip it in the tangy chutney that comes with it. Dip it in one of their lavishly spiced, rich, curry/masala/whateveritsallgood dishes and proceed to cram it into your maw. My wife and I are die-hard Neehee's fans. One evening when we went to Neehee's, it was closed. So we checked around to see what Indian restaurants were nearby; we were jonesin' for some masala dosa. We came to learn that Namaste Flavours had opened a second location in Canton. We were seated immediately and helped by a young fellow who knew the menu well. We ordered idli to start with and each of us had masala dosa. It was great! The sambar and chutneys were flavorful. And the tab ended up being cheaper than Neehee's! On our second visit, I had Mysore masala dosa. It was a nice extra spice. We each ordered a mango lassi to accompany our meal. The same young fellow who helped us on our first visit -- who also works quickly and efficiently -- helped us and recognized us. This place is on-point. Do visit. Do enjoy. read more

This place is so wonderful. I opted to come here for my birthday dinner this year, though I typically go to Knight's or Real Seafood in A2. I love the Gobi Manchurian even though it kills my face with its spiciness. We tried everything - samosas, dosas, appetizers, entrees, various types of naan... everything was incredible. We were the only white folks in the place but hey whatever, I love this food! So authentic and so dang good. I arrived there at 14:30 on a Saturday. I wasn't aware that they close between 15:00 and 17:00, so I was lucky to get there in time. Halfway through my meal they let me know that the kitchen was closing at 15:00 and asked me if I needed to order anything else. I didn't, but it was nice that they asked. I felt a little like I should have arrived there earlier if I'd read their schedule, so the staff could have had their full break time. I enjoyed the food a lot. I ordered two kinds of chicken biryani and they were both delicious. The samosas were very good, too. What's more, the whole meal was an excellent price. The service was just the right amount of attentiveness, so the modest price made it easy for me to leave a large enough tip to show them that I appreciated the service and the great food.
