Hakka Wok is open for in-person dining on Thanksgiving. My family and I came here to grab a late…read morepost-holiday dinner. Service was quick and very attentive. They let us do the soups one-by-two which was great because sometimes the appetizer portions can be so large that you don't have too much room for the entree. The half soup size per person was still generously portioned. I had the Singapore noodles with chicken. They tasted similar to Ramen noodles with curry powder, but without the water. The rest of the group had a variety of the other rice and noodle dishes, everyone enjoyed their meal.

Anyway, somewhat clean, one guy running the whole shop and not overly helpful when asking him about what is popular or for recommendations. But after using Yelp, thought we would try the soup and the spring roll for starters. Schezuan spring roll was super good. Crispy, different flavor, tasty sauce. Sweet corn soup was also very good, creamy and interesting. Now the hot garlic momos were eh... can't put my finger on it, but just eh. Veggie Schezuan was OK but soooooo much gravy. Tell them half for sure. Semi spice but seriously swimming in gravy so just visually deterrent. Then tried the chicken manchurian because that was highly recommended. Another eh flavor with excessive gravy. Lastly got the burnt garlic chicken fried rice to go and it was spicy and pretty tasty... sounds like a better option.

Choice is a refreshing addition to Schaumburg's vegetarian food scene. What stood out immediately…read morewas the sheer variety--the menu includes Gujarati comfort food, Indo-Chinese dishes, chaat, sandwiches, naan, fusion creations, drinks, and their original Bhakri Pizza concept. Our favorite dish was easily the honey chilli water chestnuts. They were crispy, sweet, spicy, and one of the most unique vegetarian starters we've tried around Chicagoland. The paneer angara had a delicious smoky flavor, while the Indo-Mexican chaat was a playful and enjoyable combination of flavors. The Peri Peri Paneer Crunch Sandwich lived up to its name with plenty of spice, texture, and crunch. We also tried the Pav Bhaji Fondue, Bhakri Pizza, Beetroot Kabab Kofta, Chur Chur Naan, and Haryali Naan. The Triple Schezwan Rice didn't quite hit the mark for us, but that was the only real miss in an otherwise enjoyable meal. The Mango Mastani was the perfect finish. It was rich, delicious, and immediately transported me back to the neighborhood juice centers I grew up visiting in Delhi. Choice is especially worth visiting when you're dining with a group because there is genuinely something for everyone to try. We're looking forward to returning and discovering more of the menu.

Basic looking Indian restaurant in Schaumburg that has all kinds of vegetarian choices, so the name…read moreof it is appropriate. Choice Indian Restaurant is one of the many places to get this cuisine around here. It has more for specific dietary needs, more than every other one though. Good concept to cater to certain folks. The quality and quantity needs lots of work. All the food is okay for vegetarians so it's a good thing if one is looking for this stuff to eat. It's got a few specific ones marked on the menu including Jain. There's only a few that are dairy free entirely though. Also expensive. These aren't even including naan or rice. It's about $5 to get a side of it. That sucks. It's about $17 for the cheapest entrees. We found a few that were good except for the high prices. Good flavors. I got the Lasooni Palak. This is spinach gravy with garlic and spices. Could go here again if the prices weren't so crazy. It's closed Mondays. The menu is all okay for vegetarians.

They lost my pre-ordered cake! I ordered the cake 4 days…read moreahead in time, called them 4 hrs before pickup and confirmed that the cake is ready. When I got there, they couldn't locate my cake! How does this happen after confirming a few hrs ago? I had to make do with a generic off the shelf cake to not ruin the bday plans but I cannot trust this place ever again. While I was waiting for the cake to be packed, there was another customer who was waiting for 30 mins for their food. Another lady ordered a puff and they microwaved her puff! Is this for real? They have a microwave right there near the counter haha!! Poor lady got a soggy puff. Their pricing is also very off. Not sure how they are legally doing this. A cake is marked as $41 on display, when they ring it up, it's $36 and then they charge 3% on card transactions. How does 3% plus $36 add up to $41? Speaking of ambiance, their ceiling looks like it has never been cleaned. This place is a disaster from every possible aspect.

I am sorry to say the hijab lady at your front desk always says it's closed when I walk in. I go to a different place next door and during this time I see others walk in. This has happened more than 4 times to me and a few other people I know. All the other folks I know who work there are very nice, polite and respectful. I am definitely going to ask folks to whom I once recommended Hotbreads to avoid visiting because of this person. What's the point of good food with such terrible service.
