While listed as primarily a takeout place, you can sit inside the restaurant and eat. My husband and I have ordered takeout from here multiple times but decided to take some family to sit down and eat there, yesterday. It was amazing. This food never disappoints. The flavors are amazing, the quality of the food is always high, and the service was wonderful. The restaurant seems to be run by one guy in particular and a cook or two in the back. We tried the samosas which were satisfyingly hot and crispy when they came out. I had the malai kofta. It was my first time trying this dish and I can't wait to order it again. It was creamy, flavorful, and felt like it got better and better with every bite. They do ask what level of spice you want, I chose mild and really didn't have any hint of spiciness--which was fine. That being said my husband got the chicken vindaloo (it's his favorite dish there) but his mild spicy seemed much hotter than mine. Still, it's s good kind of spice. Just know that the level might vary if you're not a fan of spicy food. The garlic naan is incredible too. All of the food reheats very well later so don't worry about having leftovers. I guess the only potential aspect of dining in that people might not like is eating off styrofoam. We didn't mind, to be clear. Again the place seems more suited for takeout and catering so I wasn't expecting fancy dish ware. You're given a styrofoam tray and disposable silverware to eat with. It didn't bother us but here's your heads up if you think it'll bother you. Dining in was a great experience in this tiny restaurant that you're not even sure will let you dine in (they do!). This will continue to be one of our favorite Indian food spots as we have yet to find another as tasty. read more

This review is based on my takeout experiences here. It's a small property and has only a handful of tables for dining. It's a typical small strip mall operation with no remarkable ambiance. However, this is excellent Indian takeout food. Today I had the butter chicken, and my daughter had the saag paneer. We both enjoyed these dishes, along with some naan bread and vegetable samosa appetizers. I usually opt for either chicken tikka masala or chicken vindaloo. They give you an option for heat and I go with medium spicy. It works for me. They offer killer food at reasonable prices and their takeout system is efficient. As I mentioned before it is a small location, so I wouldn't recommend dining in here. I should also add, rice is included in the entree, so there is no need to order it separately. read more

Chicken Biryani: tasty and portion is large to be shared amongst 4 ppl...the only neg is that I found a piece of hair in the rice that I had to pull out.. Chicken Tikka Masala: creamy with a mild kick (not too spicy), good for dipping the naan. Not generous on the amount of chicken they provide within one order. Lamb vindaloo: tomato flavor type soup with a kick! This was is definitely spicy so beware if you cannot handle spicy food (unless you request it to be less spicy). My husband and I visited India Foodie with a couple of sweet friends to try out this Yelp find. Over 130 reviews and 4.5 stars? That's worth checking out for sure. So we walked in, and it was a pretty unassuming place. There wasn't any leather-bounded menus or modern decorations, but the woman at the cash register was very helpful, pointing us to a few restaurant favorites. We ended up having 2 orders of Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Tikka Masala, complementary rice, and garlic and butter naan. Butter Chicken was a mild dish with a sweet flavor. Great for those new to trying Indian food. The lamb Tikka Masala was similar to the butter chicken, but it had a bit more of an herby taste. The Chicken Tikka Masala was a really great dish, and I might try ordering it at the most spicy heat level next time. The visit and food was great! We have ordered veg samosa, kaju curry, and malai Kofta. Malai dish has only three Koftas. It was ok for us. We added eggs in kaju Curry to make our own dish. This place isn't for me, and I'm glad other people have had better experiences. I was disappointed with my food, which is unfortunate because I had high expectations. We got our food medium spice, and the butter chicken was not spicy while the chili paneer was super spicy. The paneer was okay, cheese is always a good thing. The butter chicken on the other hand tasted like Italian penne al la vodka sauce, and there was virtually no chicken as seen in the photo. It was drowned in sauce and barely had any chicken. I do not think that's worth $14. The garlic naan was pretty good and I'm sure it'd be better fresh and crispy, we did do takeout so it was soft from sitting in the foil. The vegetable samosas were not it at all, it tasted like it had mashed potato in it and that's it, no spice or anything. I think the rice was the best part of the meal tonight. You could see the cooks reusing dirty sauce pans. They had a stack of dirty pans, they'd shuffle through the pans (presumably to find similar sauces) and use that dirty one to make something similar. Never going there again. read more

Under new management since May 2019. We ordered our food to go and the quality has definitely deteriorated under new management. The butter chicken sauce was thin and runny almost like soup compared to the thick one from prior management. The garlic naan didn't have the garlic flavor. They give you half a box of rice compared to before. Business is also not as busy as it was before. If new management wants the success of the prior owner, they need to bring back the quality and taste of before. I'm not sure if I will order from here again. read more

I ordered on a Thursday evening for pick up and the dishes were...unrecognizable chicken curry( it had completely overcooked shreds of chicken and full of watery liquid), Chana masala that was tasteless and I have no idea if the lamb dish was a curry or a dessert...all were obviously sweetened but the lamb dish was the sweetest of all. Even the raita was sweet. The only saving grace was the tandoori roti...hence the one single star. I literally threw the $60 order in the garbage.
