The food here is wonderful! Today we had and appetizers of fried onions (pakora) and then we had methi malai lamb and lamb biryani. Amazing! All of it! In the past we have had butter chicken (my absolute favorite), chicken korma, saag paneer, and of course the garlic naan. If you are super new to Indian cuisine don't hesitate to try Namaste. The staff will help you order. They are eager to help and tell you all about each dish and make sure you get something you like. IMO, however, get the butter chicken and a piece of naan. I have been to many indian restaurants throughout the years. It is often a struggle to get a restaurant to do the food spicy. I asked for indian spicy and they gave me a well balanced moderately spicy dish.I was quite happy with. The staff and chef were very friendly, highly recommend this restaurant. read more

We live an hour from Dothan, and could easily drive to Destin, San Destin, Fort Walton, or Miramar Beach, Florida; instead we choose to drive to Dothan, Alabama for Indian food, because this place is a flavor explosion like no other. Strongly recommend The chef makes a delicious spice, (I generally order on the side, because my wife and daughter aren't able to handle even a mild spice.) When I mix in the spice, every taste bud erupts in delight. I gave the atmosphere 3 stars, only because of the size of the place and the seating arrangement . No matter; the food is well worth it and people often order carry out as well. My wife and I have eaten Indian food all over the United States. The flavor of this food tops most of the Indian Restaurants. The chef is a wonderful person. He has worked hard to perfect the right 'creamy consistency ' of his dishes .He and his wife Run the restaurant. He is a caring man with a sense of humor. He has worked hard for over a year, so his wife and son can join him on a visa permit. Wonderful people and wonderful food! Order the garlic Naan, and Aloo Ghobi, for a delicious vegetarian flavor, or the Chick n Tika Masala. My wife always orders Somosas, along with the the 3 other dishes we order. It's been a while since I have written a review because it is so hard to find an actual 5 star spot. But this is no doubt all 5 of them! The woman who runs the shop is a sweetheart and was very friendly and nice to talk to. There wasn't much business going on and that blew my mind. Definitely a hidden gem that people need to know about. The tikka masala sauce was the best I have ever had and I could survive on just dipping naan in that stuff. Even the rice was ridiculously delicious. That naan had the perfect char too. Can't wait to visit Dothan again just to eat here. Put the word out, this food deserves to be eaten!!! read more

Overall, I give this place 5 stars. It was really great Indian Food with depth. I've eaten here twice. The first time was with my family. The second time was with friends. We all loved the food. Over the course of both visits, we tried the samosas, butter chicken, tikka masala, naan, and lamb biryani. All of it was wonderful with depths of spices you get in good traditional Indian food. I highly recommend eating this place if you're looking for Indian cuisine! Oh yeah, our server, Naveen was great too! He even pulled out my chair for me to sit down. Both times I have been here the service has been terrible. They never bring out the right amount of naan ordered for the table and did not refund for what we already paid for and never received and food is not served at the same time with many people having food thirty min behind others in the same party. This place is absolutely wonderful!! The owners are very friendly and the food is consistently good. It is also very authentic. We love Indian food and have eaten it across the US and in Europe. This place ranks up there with some of the best we've had! If you haven't eaten Indian food before and are worried it will be spicy, don't. You can have it prepared mild or spicy. There are many different items on the menu to choose from as well. If you haven't tried it you should. It is well worth a visit! read more

This is not a buffet style. You order your food at the counter and the cashier/server/baker, brings the food to your table. You also pay your bill at the table. The man who served us was very nice and helpful. The food is fresh and delicious! I had Butter Chicken and the Nan with garlic and herbs. The Paneer Tikki Masala was just, "okay". I've had better in the MTR brand of boil-in-the-bag sauces. The Nan had some burned spots on it, but the places that were not burned were very good. The restaurant looks clean but the floor below the tables and near the wall, on the right side of the room, needed sweeping and mopping. I'm not used to the new prices, so for the portions we received, it was priced way more than what we usually pay for this amount of food for lunch. Still, it was more than enough to eat. The iced tea tastes a little like licorice instead of the traditional tea flavor. The rice was bland, but this was perfect for the flavors in the sauces. The seating reminded me of a diner, but it was comfortable. Despite the negatives, I enjoyed my meal very much. We might come back some day, once we've tried all of the Indian restaurants in the area. read more

I visited this place shortly after it opened back in August while I was spending time at Fort Rucker and so glad I took a chance on Namaste! Being an Indian in this region is tough given the lack of Indian restaurants and vegetarian cuisines. I had driven to other areas to try other places and left disappointed. Coming into Namaste, we were welcomed by the family that owns the business and their staff, who all made us feel welcome and at ease. Their food satisfied the craving for Indian food and more importantly, made me feel at home. If I am ever back in the Fort Rucker area, I will definitely be sure to be a frequent visitor of Namaste and encourage anyone else in the area to do the same! read more
