    Loved this menu!

Overall: quick, yummy, simple I loved the ordering process and how everything had pictures. It was super clear and easy to use. The pan fried pork buns were so tasty and i loved the heat and sauce on the wontons. My stomach was a wreck after the food, so I'm assuming there was cabbage in the fillings. If the menu was clear about which did and didn't have cabbage I would totally be back, but it just says a vague "vegetable". It shares doors and bathrooms with the tea spot next door. The bathrooms do not have changing tables for kids, which was annoying.

Located in a shared space with Kung Fu Tea, Nan Xiang Express is a quaint spot that offers a pretty wide variety of dumplings and side dishes. First thing you walk into is an order kiosk. It's pretty user-friendly with a bunch of pictures. I love how easy it was to navigate, but still something to consider if you bring company that's not the most tech-savvy. Upon ordering, it takes about 15-20 minutes for the food to be ready. All the food comes out in tupperware containers and if you choose to dine there all of the utensils/cups are cheap plastic. The food was delicious. All of the dumplings we ordered had great flavor and the dumpling shells were cooked perfectly (no doughy bits). Sauces were great and the soup dumpling had a broth with a yummy depth to it. Everything here is pretty much self-service. There's somebody that calls out your order when it's ready, but otherwise you're on your own for everything else. All in all, is it the most accurate reflection of dim sum/Chinese dumplings? Probably not, but for a "fast-food" style version of it, I think it does an excellent job if you're trying to find a place to hit that spot.

When I tried to walk in... the front door was locked. The restaurant is connected to the Kungfu Tea shop so it's kinda nice, order your dumplings and tea within six feet of each other. Service: When you walk in, there's a large kiosk to take order. It only accepts credit cards, so after payment pick up your receipt and wait for your number to be called. Depending on how busy it is, the wait time is 10 - 15 minutes. There's no interaction with the staff, they are hard at work making the order. You can watch them roll out the dumpling dough. In the pick up area, there's a courtesy water dispenser, and soy sauce and vinegar for diners. Food: Chicken soup dumplings with the vinegar sauce are pretty good. The seafood options are mixed with pork which doesn't leave anything on the menu for pescatarians. Ambiance: Seating area can hold 15 people. Minimal and clean.

Great soup dumplings. I stopped by here on my way to Baltimore. Ordering was done at the kiosk. Entry was through the Kung Fu Tea right next door. The soup inside the soup dumplings was super hot, but very delicious!

First time at nan Xiang express! It has been on my list to try as I love a good soup dumpling. We went on a weekend night and it was pretty busy. They only have one kiosk to order so we had to wait a while as there were several customers in front of us. Ordering was easy on the kiosk and I liked how each item had a picture so you had an idea of what it would the dish would look like. We ended up ordering the NanXiang signature soup dumplings, seafood pan fried crispy noodle, and cucumber salad w garlic. We also checked in on Yelp for a free iced soybean milk drink. After we ordered, we went to sit and the store isn't too big. Some customers go to the kung fu tea side to sit and eat as there's not enough seating. I think overall the food was good but not like incredible. I have definitely have had better versions of these dishes but in this area, it's pretty good as not a lot of restaurants sell these dishes. I definitely would come here to try their food, if you're looking to try something new, the soup dumplings are definitely a good start!

New update: I'm so glad they listened to reviews and got bigger, individually wrapped spoons! This allows for the enjoyment of the soup dumplings with loosing the soup when you bite in to enjoy it. All the food is delicious! We especially like the soup dumplings and chive pockets. Everything is still packaged up for to go, even for dining in. However, the carry out boxes are reusable, which id a plus. We will be back for sure.

This is a fast food express version of the Nan Xiang that's in NYC. To start off, you order yourself on a machine. We opted for the pork soup dumplings, Sticky rice roll with fried dough and crispy yellow noodles with beef. They call out your order number and everything is packaged to go, but there are tables to sit at, including some on the Kung fu tea side. The soup dumplings were pretty good for the area! Skin is a tad thicker than the original in NYC but the flavor and juice hit the spot. The crispy noodles were mediocre and pretty small compared to usual noodle dishes. Overall a casual place to stop for some soup dumplings.

I think this would was pretty good but I wouldn't rush back. Everything comes in a to go container but there's ample seating if you'd like to dine in. Soup dumplings - Really hard to eat, would skip. Sweet sticky rice roll - Very yummy! Like a dessert. Fried beef dumplings - My fave thing I ordered! Spring rolls - Fairly standard. There is a ton of parking which is nice but wasn't overly impressed overall.

8.23.22 WARNING: if you order the soup dumplings be sure you wear a full bodied bib. Each dumpling I bit into exploded all over me. It got into my hair, dress, over the table, and floor. I've had dumplings at other restaurants and this has never happened before. Despite the messiness the Nan Xiang Signature Pork Dumplings caused, they were worth it to try it one time. I really enjoyed the flavor when I dipped them into the vinegar soy sauce. Good thing I was going home afterwards and not back to the office! I wish they offered dishware as they only offer paper products even if you dine in. This isn't practical and it's messy if you are sharing food like my husband and I did. We used our lids to eat our dumplings over and it was messy if we wanted to reuse the lids to take any leftovers home in the containers they came in. My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Udon and I ordered the Beef Pan-Fried Crispy Noodle. My husband concluded that he is not a fan of Udon noodle as he prefers thinner noodles. He did like the flavor, but said there was barely any chicken. His portion seemed hearty. I took his leftovers home. My Beef Crispy Noodle was bland and like his entree, I barely had any beef. Mine was mostly all vegetables. I did like the mushrooms. Initially, I thought I would have leftovers, but I ended up eating it all. It wasn't very much. I like that they separate the noodles from the beef and veggie mixture. It keeps the noodle from getting soggy for carryout orders. Initially we tried to place our order at the kiosk, but they didn't have my husband's entree so we placed our order at the counter We found out that you can also order at the register and online. Also, it would be nice if they sold beverages. Beverages are only available at Kung Fu Tea which is adjoining. Our experience overall was average. I liked the soup dumplings, but not sure if it was worth the mess or clean up to me. Our noodle entrees were just mediocre. We decided that it's unlikely we will return.

Saw this review on TikTok and knew I needed to try it! I love dumplings, bubble tea and Korean fried chicken and this location has all of it! Pros: food is delicious and filling, nice atmosphere, fresh food and so many choices in one place! Cons: you need to order at a kiosk and there is only one, wanted to ask questions and couldn't, the dining room was not very clean, no option to get a glass of water, you have to order in different places for different things.

Great to have a place like this in the area! Great prices for such large portions! Xlb filling is juicy and decently flavored while the skin is just thin enough. The dumplings are much larger than what I'm used to, no complaints here though. The turnip and ham pastries were flaky and good but also massive. It took me a few days of reheating in the air fryer to finish the whole order. The long green pepper and pork noodles were delicious. It was a savory, rich broth with slightly chewy noodles and green peppers to cut the richness of the broth. This was also a large portion. I ate half and was able to finish it the next day for lunch.

    Kiosk to order and pay
    Katrina F.

What an experience! I was in the area and craving some dumplings; oh boy, did they deliver... Freshly made dumplings galore! Prices are a little high, but portions are generous. My husband and I were delighted, and we had plenty of leftovers. The highlight for me was the scallion pancake with sliced beef; the flaky, crunchy bread won my heart, and of course, I cannot forget the Nanxiang signature soup dumplings. My husband really liked their pork chops, and a nice compliment to the entire meal was their garlic cucumber salad. As others have mentioned, you use a kiosk to order. It can be intimidating for someone unfamiliar with technology or trying the food for the first time. No one greeted or ensured people knew what to do, which was not a problem for me, but I saw a lady struggle. Another point to highlight is that all meals are served to go, but you are welcome to sit and eat in the restaurant. We were surprised to find KungFu Tea connected to the restaurant. We got to order their tea, and it was delicious! In all an enjoyable experience, and I look forward to trying their noodle beef soup later since we were too full to eat it at the restaurant.

We ordered the N2 12 Hour Stewed Pork Noodles and the Beef Noodle Soup with Chili Oil on the side. I would highly recommend all 4 things we tried as they were the perfect combination for the winter weather. The noodles were thick, chewy, and bouncy and very fresh with none of them sticking or losing its firm texture. The flavors of each dish was distinct but not overpowering and the meat quality was excellent and plentiful. The restaurant is next to a high quality boba store as well so it doesn't hurt to double dip (which we did). We waited 20-30 minutes to get seated since it was super busy with one waiter handling all the tables so they didn't check in often unless we asked which is totally fine. This is a great modern casual dinner spot for a date and even takeout. I will definitely be back many times as this is a staple I really enjoy.

We had a 7:00 PM reservation for seven -- planned largely around my son's birthday request and his love of Dim Sum. Unfortunately, Dim Sum isn't available on Tuesday nights, which was a minor disappointment since our previous Sunday visit gave us the full Dim Sum experience. We shifted to ordering family-style and were genuinely pleased with the meal. The Moo Shu Pork, Peking Duck, Chicken Fried Rice, Mápó Dòufu, and Bok Choy were all flavorful and well-prepared. Everything came with won ton soup and tea, which was a nice touch and added to the overall experience. The atmosphere feels authentic and comfortable, and the staff was friendly throughout the evening. The manager tried to steer us toward several suggested dishes -- it was a bit unclear whether this was purely helpful guidance or an effort to highlight readily available items -- but we appreciated the input and did enjoy the bok choy recommendation. Pricing was reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Overall, despite the Dim Sum surprise, it was an enjoyable and satisfying dinner. We would absolutely return -- just on a weekend next time for Dim Sum.

After assuring her I was fine, I drive to the Hunan Legends and parked as close as I can. Heard some good things about this place. I ordered much too much for 2 people but we can eat for days as the portions were good size. It appears that today was a day of take out as I saw no one but did see a lot of pickup order. As soon as I walked in with the cans, the owner noticed right away and without hesitation, she told her husband (I assume because he obeyed right away) that I will need help. Now I really appreciated that thoughtfulness because I did not realize I ordered 2 large bags full of food. To step in to help without being asked is thoughtfulness personified. Now the food, we mostly enjoyed all of it. There were things that should have been eaten at the restaurant like the pu pu platter.
