Overheard a customer say, "This place is super cute," and I couldn't agree more! I was having one of those days where I was craving a Greek salad but since it was Friday, images of beer battered cod fillets were dancing in my head. I'm not even lying. Lol After 5 long indecisive minutes of scrolling Yelp and reading reviews, I found Nana's (insert heart emoji here)! Nana's serves a perfectly light, crispy battered fish fry along with nicely salted crinkle cut fries, a lightly seasoned toasted pita and a Greek salad instead of the traditional Cole slaw and potato salad sides we Buffalonians are accustomed to. Nana's you have stolen my heart, I can't wait to come back again! * I'd love to give Nana's 5 stars but this review is based off a takeout experience. Authentic taste- seasoned perfection gyro and chicken souvlaki, tatziki, creamy hummus, zesty tabouli....5/5. My guests were blown away! They kept asking where did I get this outstanding delicious food from??! They loved all the Mediterranean dishes that I catered for my daughter's birthday party. All items were packed nicely for take away and easy to reheat in aluminum dishes. Service 5/5. The restaurant itself is clean and bright. Ambiance 5/5. Easy stop on Main Street in Clarence, NY. Plenty of parking available, quiet for a Friday night with only 2 people dining in. Quite a variety on the menu! I asked the server behind the register what her favorite menu item is & she said rice bowl. After much deliberation, I chose the gyro rice bowl. While I waited, a previous customer returned to inquire as to the accuracy of his order. The [supposed] owner was very kind. Pointed out that the rice is underneath the salad. Offered to remake the bowl as the customer wanted it. Customer left with his food as-is. I watched another worker go to bag my baklava & drop the paper wrapper on the floor, pick it up, pack my piece of baklava and moments later, a third worker brought me my meal. The rice has some cinnamon in it. The feta was a gorgeous dusting like snow on top of the shredded lettuce. There were tomatoes and pitted kalamata olives. The onion was cooked with the gyro meat and it was plentiful. The tzatziki sauce was sharp with fresh garlic. The baklava had a thick layer of finely ground nuts, with a texture almost like sand. I didn't taste many spices, but it was a delicious after-meal treat with a venti Chai Latte from another establishment. Give Nana's a try. You won't regret it. read more

I was in the plaza today and decided get lunch. I'm so glad I did and will be back...That was the best beef slovaki I've ever had. It was delicious and the service was so fast. Very nice staff took my takeout order. Next time, I will eat in because of the clean l, calm atmosphere. read more

We love the food from here, so we had Nana's cater our party and our guests absolutely loved it! They gave extremely generous portions so no one left hungry, very reasonably priced for catering. So I had an inkling to get some souvlaki and checked the Yelp app to see what was close by. I saw the name and remembered hearing good things about Nana's. I ordered a chicken souvlaki, and my husband ordered a fish fry. His fish fry looked pretty good. The souvlaki was very good! They certainly didn't skimp on any of the ingredients, including the chicken. I appreciated the fact that the chicken was cut in smaller pieces. It's much easier to eat. I found it interesting that the fish fry came with a buttery garlic naan, and mine came with plain naan. Next time, I'll request the garlic. The fries were average. I used to love Nana's in the food court at Eastern Hills Malls. I would get the chicken caesar wrap and fries. I didn't realize until recently where they relocated and was happy to finally order from here again. This time I tried the chicken souvlaki wrap with Greek fries. They were very good! They give you the Greek dressing for the fries in a separate container (for a to go order) so the fries don't get soggy on the way home. The prices are fair and the place is cute and cozy if you want to dine in. read more

Stopped in for a quick takeout dinner before an event I was going to. I did have to wait about 15 minutes for the food but I was absolutely delicious. There was so much flavor in the sample combo. First time here. Clean, modern, basic surroundings. Staff was very friendly and patient. Three other tables were occupied. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. Appeared to be doing a pretty significant takeout business this weekday afternoon. Enjoyed a chicken Cesar wrap combo (fries/drink) for lunch. The pita was moist and FRESH. Excellent flavor and texture. The amount of fries that came as part of the combo were also very good (flavorful and not soggy) and the generous quantity was plenty enough for two people to share. A bit pricey but isn't everything these days. Ample parking in this newer small plaza at the traffic light across the street from the Clarence High School. Will certainly return. read more

Love Mediterranean food and always are on the hunt for my "Go-To" med food place in different areas of WNY. In the Clarence / Williamsville / Main and Transit area it's typically always been Pita Gourmet but I have found their quality to have gone downhill over the last few years as they have expanded so being as I was just around the corner I figured I'd try Nanas. Ordered online and told food would be ready in 20 minutes. The cost of the Pita Pocket and Greek Fries I ordered was in line with everywhere else but I was a little taken back with the "Convenience Fee" of ordering online. Nowadays I would say 50% of people want to place their order online either on their phone or on the website and don't feel they should be penalized. I was dead set on trying Nana's so I went ahead with the order, but I did think twice before I clicked purchase. Sat down and while there aren't a huge amount of tables I managed to find somewhere to sit. My food was ready at the time it said and I was really impressed with the quality. Their food is easily 3 x better than Pita Gourmet and the atmosphere of the eatery is also superior. Once I had finished I looked around for a trash can to throw my stuff away, there wasn't one to be found and instead the girl at the counter took it away for me. A nice touch but honestly I have no problem throwing my own food away. Maybe a good idea to offer a Trash in case someone wants to be helpful and throw their food away and also in case your employee is swamped and at least it gives other people the chance to sit down quickly without having to wait for garbage to be taken away. Beside the "Convenience Fee" and lack of Trash in the restaurant this was a perfect experience and my new Go-To Mediterranean food location in this part of WNY read more

My sister & I went to Nana's for lunch not knowing what to expect. What a pleasant surprise! Nice new modern interior, super friendly waitress, extremely nice owner/chef. My sister had the Chicken Souvlaki Salad, while I had the Haddock Fish Fry that came with an awesome grilled Greek pita, a Greek salad on the side and the most excellent fries. My sister thought her salad was delicious and it was accompanied by a soft and yummy Lebanese flatbread. I can't wait to return and try other items from their menu (falafel, huumus, grape leaves, melts, & rice bowls will be in our future lunch adventures). read more

I realized last week, that they have a fish fry dinner on their menu every day! It's had to find a place that serves fish fries on days other than a Friday around here. Their fish fry is fantastic! I love the fact that it doesn't come with the traditional (and many times poorly done) mac salad, cole slaw and rye bread. Theirs comes with greek salad, choice of potato (fries, rice or greek potatoes) and a full grilled pita! Not to mention that the piece of fish is huge and perfectly cooked. It is a ton of food and priced very reasonably. This was my son's first ever fish fry and he can't wait for me to say we are getting dinner from you again! read more

Stopped here today for lunch. I have to say this is by far the best Mediterranean food I've had in WNY. There are so many meatless options to choose from too. I went with the Sample Combo to see how a different variety of their food tasted. It had taboulli, grape leaves, hummus, falafel with pita. I was very impressed and satisfied with everything. The tastiest hummus and the falafel was out of this world. We'll be coming here frequently. read more

Had to run to Dollar Gen. 30 seconds from Nana's and got to Nana's at 7p.m. to order dinner and they were closed!! Not 15 mins prior they were open!! Very disappointed as we were looking forward to dinner after shopping. If your hours state 8p.m. stay open until then!!!. read more
