It was pretty nice. Was quite busy and it's a small space for a lot of people. Took a few minutes for a waitress to order our drinks. The appetizers, tzatziki and spanakopita were both really good. The spanakopita tasted a lot like dill and had a strong pickle flavor for some reason, but it was still a great appetizer. To save some room for dessert, I had a cup of chicken and rice soup. It was good just nothing special. It was served with a bit of it was spilled outside of the bowl. The baklava was delicious. The extra honey drizzle on top was slightly too sweet for me. Prices are comparable to the rest of the competing restaurants so why have an up charge for a credit card? I ordered fish fry. Fish was tough and fries were mealy. Probably the worst fries I ever had. Maybe that is. Waitress is sitting down with a customer at their table and talking about their life and who they know like I really want to hear that when I'm trying to relax and have a nice dinner. Went for lunch on Friday November 21, 2025 Wait staff was good. My friend had a burger and fries he said it was very good. My wife had a salad, it was terrible all the field greens lettuce was spoiled and not eatable and only includes two olives, with pits . Last night I ordered two meals for takeout and thought I had the wrong order when I went to pick it up because there was FIVE boxes. I thought eh if it's wrong I can just pop back, I don't live too far. But it was the correct order; they just give you that much food. It's crazy. I ordered the chicken souvlaki dinner which came in 3 separate boxes: a huge salad, my side of rice, and the chicken in a separate box. It was absolutely to die for. Both the Greek dressing and the tzatziki were phenomenal. Chicken was cooked great, everything was simply delicious. The fact that I can get 2-3 meals out of this is great. My partner did not really care for the open-face steak sandwich, but as a reader I wouldn't take this to heart as she can be picky with food. She had the Greek fries and loved those. Overall, this place is great. The price is a little expensive ($45 with tax and tip) for two dinners, but it's worth it considering I'll get at least two meals out of it. This place is a great Greek American restaurant; I much prefer it over two other local Greek American restaurants that I have visited. We walked in on a Saturday around 11:30/12. It was busy, and since there were only two of us, we decided to sit at the counter that has seating for 6... If I'm remembering correctly. If there's a wait and you have a small group definitely check to see if the counter is available, so you won't have to wait. On this visit, I had the chicken souvlaki breakfast and my boyfriend had a chicken finger salad. We were served quickly and the food did not disappoint. My souvlaki came with 5 decent size pieces of chicken that were flavorful and juicy. The eggs were done perfectly and so were the potatoes. The potatoes were also nicely seasoned and not bland like I have experienced at other places. They offered a good selection of toast options: white, wheat, rye, sourdough, pita, Italian and English muffin if I'm not mistaken. I opted for the sourdough and it was nicely toasted to a golden brown. My boyfriend enjoyed his salad and was pleased that it was a nice mixed greens salad, not a bed of just crappy iceberg lettuce... I clearly have feels about iceberg haha. I like this place for breakfast truly it's great but they failed me for lunch today. Now I will give two stars mostly for the chicken lemon rice soup which was actually very delicious and the kindness of our server. However, my meatloaf looked like two horse's hooves covered in mud. And the taste reminded me of cardboard covered in gasoline. Truly an awful dish. The side of corn was very starchy giving it a terrible taste and texture. Mashed potatoes where fine but nothing special. Service was relatively slow but that could be attributed to the team attempting to fix there computer as they where only accepting cash at the time. Best tzatziki dip hands down! I realized the other day that it costs my family of 5 the same amount of money to go through a sub par drive thru as it is to go to this very family friendly spot for a sit down for a really nice meal! They have a very large reasonably priced menu where everyone picks what they want. They also have a solid kids menu that goes to the age of 12 and the positions are decent. My favorite item to get is their chicken Slovakia wrap. Staff is friendly and service is pretty solid. Worth a try for sure. Oh and they are great with take out orders! Only negative comment would be it's a smaller place so it can take a bit to get a table during certain times. read more

Kalamata is a real gem. The prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent and generously portioned. Everything is fresh, and pita, olives, feta, tzatziki and dressing are truly great and generously provided with your meal. Our family tends to get the spanakopita, Greek salad, Popeye wrap, Baklava and gyros the most, and I really recommend them all. Our only disappointment was the French fries, which were an up charge with the gyro, but they were not great. I will say that it was a takeout order, so I'm sure that was part of the problem. Located on the edge of a shopping plaza is the Kalamata. This restaurant has been arranged to satisfy post covid requirements. We were seated quickly and served. My beef on weck was served on a fresh bun, along with a lot of chips and a pickle, for roughly $9. The chips were abundant and fresh, though the beef was on the drier side. The Turkey sandwich was packed with a lot of meat. We also got a cup of chicken lemon rice soup, which was perfect. After we received our bill, we noticed the daily specials with the napkins. The daily specials had some great deals on it, which included a steak for two special for $25. I wish we had seen these sooner, though we were happy with what we got. Wow, what a rude manager! There were 2 tables waiting to be cleaned and no one came to clean them so I sat in one on them. Ann approached me and began to raise her voice and told me to move out of the table because someone else was waiting for the table. I told her to please lower her voice but she stated one more time that she was the manager. Everyone was staring at us. What does she think? She has to be polite and needs to have good manners because WE (customers) are the ones that pay for their salaries and they have to have good customer service. Kalamata serves your standards like BLTs or 2 egg breakfast specials, alongside items such as souvlaki and tirokafteri. I don't breakfast much, but from what I have had they are comparable to most other places. I really enjoy the tirokafteri here, which is a spicy feta based dip. If you haven't had it, I highly recommend that you try it. I also love, love, love the Greek fries. French fries covered in feta and then topped with greek dressing, as a bonus they are cheap. They also have a lot of fried seafood including scallops, but it was cold and rainy so I wanted mashed potatoes and gravy. They were out of fried chicken even though it was early afternoon so I tried the prime rib. It was okay. Mine's better, but for $11 I can't really complain. One of my sons had pancakes. They make them Mickey Mouse style and really big, too big honestly, but my son ate every bite and he almost never finishes his food. Service was good.
