We should have allowed that to be our indiscretion for the day. But nooooo. Mr. B can smell sinfully yummy calories, even with a bag over his head, a mile away. Their specialty... chocolate croissants. Thus, we let Artisanal Goods lure us in. No parking, way too busy, way too full to seat us, a line bursting out the door, the tiny bakery cafe still seduced us. That is, Mr B circled the block in the car but pushed me out to get in line. It was the idea of a flaky, buttery, chocolate croissant crumbling all over his shirt that made him do it. And I had no intention of saying no. The line went quickly. The last Kouign Amann had just escaped my clutches to the guy in front of me, darn it. But there were still trays upon trays of freshly baked, massive chocolate croissants displayed in their custom, wood display case right next to the register. Sorry about no pictures, but you know how things get out of hand sometimes. However if you want to experience an orgasm in pastry form, I suggest you high tail it here.

The staff was very nice and we ordered the classics. - Croissant : was fresh, flaky and a good size. The only small issue: 20% of it goes on the table as it literally crumbles at each bite. A good croissant should have some elasticity lacking here. - Pain au chocolat: quite large with maybe too much chocolate. But the flavor was on point. I liked it but my wife thought the extra chocolate was too much of the good thing. She reminded me that in the pain au chocolat in France, you actually feel the chocolate under the tooth at each bite. Between the two, I would get the plain croissant next time. Final thoughts: These pastries are more expensive than in other places( pain au chocolat for almost $7 and croissant for $5.5). Would I come back: yes to get the plain croissant.

Whether you're having just coffee and a pastry or a complete meal, everything is done to make you feel comfortable. As I walked to the counter through a number of tables and chairs in the dining area, I was greeted by a friendly staff member. I indicated that I wanted some help with the menu. She gave some descriptions of items that were available and they all sounded very good. I decided on a few of their popular items. Capriciousa Pizza Italian Sub made with focaccia Fresh made Tiramisu I have to admit I did not know what to expect. I was incredibly surprised as I unpacked my to-go order. The aroma from all the food made my kitchen smell very Italian. The pizza was amazing with olives, mushrooms, and artichokes and of course fresh mozzarella. The Italian sub was impressive. The fresh focaccia with the meats and cheese was a great combination. Great bite and chew. It also came with a great side salad. Fresh lettuce selection and tomatoes with some sliced onions. I came back sooner than I had planned because the food was so good and ordered the pizzetta and a side salad. The pizzetta is now my favorite item. Fresh Focaccia topped with tomato sauce and mushrooms, garlic, herbs and spices. The Tiramisu tasted as good as it looked. Moist and full of flavor. The chocolate topping satisfies that chocolate craving. This was a larger piece than I had expected. Nice neighborhood boutique businesses with parking available in a lot off of Villa Street. I look forward to coming back and enjoying the authentic Italian experience created by Delizie Romane!

Suddenly the half dozen donuts had extra charges. Supposedly sprinkled donuts are an extra few dollars. No sign. Just her sudden point of view that was different than what is priced for half a dozen. When I brought it up I suddenly got talked down to as if I should know this is standard. Sprinkled donuts cost more money. Made the drive here cause supposedly these were great.
