I was miffed because it was broken but nobody said anything, management never contacted me, it was just thrown in the trash outside. I allowed myself to believe maybe there was a miscommunication. I told Paul about it and he apologized. I was very sad but I understand accidents happen, so I let it go gently and painstakingly made myself another butter bell. Today they broke that too, along with a handpainted salt shaker from a close friend. I don't know how they managed to break both pieces since they weren't even in the same area. I'm heartbroken and furious. Paul has offered to try and make it right but honestly like.... To keep breaking the same dang object. I don't understand and it seems like a sign that someone isn't respecting my property. Also like, they requested recently that I purchase cleaning rags and microfiber rags for the team to use and I happily did so, but they never actually used them throughout the last several cleans, despite me communicating to management multiple times where they were (placed in a very obvious spot for ease of use). The place is large. 3bd, 2ba, 1800+ sq ft. Mind you it is empty but that's a lot to cover. What I didn't realize is that 3 women came armed with a wide array of cleaning supplies. I told them they didn't have to vacuum since I was getting the carpet cleaned a few hours later, but they vacuumed up the dust and debris they had collected from swiping every crevice. They went right to work, cleaning all the normal stuff. What impressed me was all the little things they cleaned without my direction, from window sills to the oven grill and pans the laundry closet around the sides of the washer/dryer. They had a telescoping broom made specifically to dust the corners of the wall/ceiling. They even cleaned the light fixtures in the dining room and the lightbulbs. I needed a receipt so she rushed out to get one for me before they were done. I am still taken aback at how efficient they were. I was running around doing last cleanup and even taking work calls, but they were not annoyed or fazed by me. It took them about 2.5 hours and the cost was $140. For that level of quality service, I think that is phenomenal. Keep in mind prices may vary as this place was completely empty. I heard she does most of the Peninsula, so I will definitely refer her to people. Moving out is always stressful and usually somewhat melancholy or bittersweet.
