We needed a plumber to fix an issue in our kitchen as we previously purchased a new dishwasher from Lowe's and had them install it, however when the tech arrived to install the dishwasher he looked under the sink and said he couldn't install the dishwasher because the shut off valve was not something he could work with, he said I needed to hire a plumber to change the valve. We used Nancy's Plumbing to perform a partial re piping of our copper water pipes in our Oakley residence. Our older home had original pipes beneath the concrete slab of our house. Like many other older homes in Oakley, the older pipes began leaking after over 30 years we have lived here. Nancy's plumbing performed the pipe replacement in four days with minimal disturbance, which was not easy with a two story home with over 2,000 square feet. Several sheetrock openings are required to install the new copper lines. Nancy's plumbing goes behind the process, replacing sheetrock and performing a solid re-texture job but does not paint. They covered furniture and appliances and worked well with our questions and concerns along the way. It is a huge job, and is intrusive, however, they performed the work in the best manner possible. I believe Nancy's Plumbing has the experience and knowledge to perform this type of work as good or better than other plumbing outfits in the area. Yo these guys are great! I contacted Nancy's Plumbing through google messaging and received a text within minutes. I had an appointment scheduled next day to be diagnosed. My bathtub copper pipe came out of the wall when I was trying to replace it myself which is very simple to do. Unfortunately for me who ever installed the pipe before I bought the house definitely didn't do a good job with that. I was stressed the only way to do this job was to open my hallway walls to the pipes. Marlon came in and examined the situation and didn't guarantee that he could fix it without ripping walls. To my amazement he was able to replace the copper pipes with no problem and without opening walls. He is a true professional. He also told me about my shower handle cartridge part had a crack and needed to be replaced. I really appreciate him telling me because if he didn't I'd still have that leak. We first called Nancy's plumbing when my wife backed her car into the main line of the house, which is located in the driveway next to the garage door. This happened late evening and Marlon came out and stopped the leak because we couldn't turn it off. He came back the next day and completed the repairs, placed a new shut off valve fused all the links and placed new pipes soldering all properly. He also installed a new regulator and adjusted the water pressure to the house because it was too high.This issue happened in 2013 and we have not had an issue with the main at all since. We are still very happy with that repair. Recently, in August 2018, we had our upstairs shower leak down to our living room ceiling, a slow leak but a headache. I called Nancy's plumbing, Marlo found the problem and showed it to me. A craked drainage pipe rubber seal that had not been installed properly when the house was built. Marlo even showed me how to replace it but I told him he is the expert and although I'm handy at home, I would much rather he take care of it! I'm glad he did because he couldn't put the new seal in correctly because the contractors had cut the drainage pipe too short, not Marlo's fault. He said he would have to cut open the living room ceiling to get the job done right by replacing the short pipe with a longer drainage pipe to the shower's p-trap. He also installed a new gutter housing and a strainer. He fixed the problem and made it even better than it should have been made to last for years to come. He tested the repair for leaks which he found none and fixed the problem. What took the longest was him patching the ceiling back up and texturing it! But I told him I'm handy enough to patch it, texture it, and paint it but he offered to complete the patching and texturing! Marlo and his crew cleaned up after the repairs and used disposable booties to walk into my home to avoid getting the carpet dirty. Above and beyond the scope of the repair! If you are looking for a plumber to do it right the first time! Give Nancy's Plumbing a call before you call anyone else. The repair costs are reasonable. However, keep in mind that if you want a cheap repair, you will get it done with cheap parts or inexperienced plumbers. You will eventually have to call someone else again! My advice is get it done right the first time, call Nancy's Plumbing! read more

We were told by another plumber that there was a slab leak under the kitchen floor. The plumber did not have a camera and could not verify where the leak was located in the pipe. I found Nancy's Plumbing after calling several plumbers looking for one with a camera or with the equipment to do an isolation test. I was fortunate to find Nancy's who had all the equipment. Marlon came out and met with my wife. He reviewed everything the previous plumber said and ran a camera through the pipes. He allowed my wife to view the monitor and he explained everything he was looking at. He did not find any cracks or clogs. However, there was a joint under the kitchen floor that could have been the source of the problem. He gave us a quote to break the slab and do the repair. The day of the appointment Marlon and his team arrived. This time I was fortunate enough to meet him. Marlon and his crew were very professional and polite. Even when he met with my wife she felt comfortable, which is important to me. The crew wore shoe covers and were very careful working in the kitchen which was just remodeled a few weeks prior. Marlon said he wanted to be 100% sure that the leak was below the slab before breaking the concrete. He wanted to minimize the the cost and any damage that would have to be repaired. As it turned out his diligence paid off. The water we were seeing was trapped under the new floor from the dishwasher leaking. Although he had to remove a portion of the flooring to verify the source of the water, that is preferable than breaking the slab. Marlon is an honest plumber. I had already agreed to pay thousands for him to break the slab and dig down to the pipe. He could have easily done so and I would have been none the wiser. I can't thank him enough for being honest, thorough and working with integrity. In addition to that after reviewing the invoice Nancy refunded our over payment. Also, Nancy who took all my calls was awesome. She was very flexible with scheduling and polite every time I called. The online response was quicker then I expected...they were quick, friendly and was able to get an appointment the next day.
