I didn't know this place existed until Yelp recommended it. It is exactly as advertised: a farmers' restaurant in the middle of what was once nowhere. Given its location, it's likely locally sourced, and the food is WONDERFUL. The restaurant stays busy, and it's difficult to move around, but the staff are all very friendly, and those cooks make a heck of a burger. I ordered the Oklahoma Onion Burger, and I swear I felt like I was in Texas again, eating a burger straight off the grill with mustard slathered across the meat. The onion rings were very satisfying. My husband ordered the Rueben sandwich, where he said the rye bread didn't overpower the flavor of the cheese or pastrami, and the dressing didn't make the bread soggy. The Wisconsin cheese curds were a tad pricey, but they were still really good (my dairy allergy won't thank me for this), and the portion size was not bad for an appetizer. There are only a few tables inside the restaurant, but if you choose to sit down, there are tables on a patio just outside as well. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice day with pop music playing in the background. It was a very nice lunch date. This place deserves all five stars. read more

Heard a lot of great things, on Nextdoor about the farmers restaurant. It's a small, casual place. My daughter and I shared the Philly cheesesteak fries and onion burger. The food was good and the customer service was perfect. It was a tad bit warm in the dining area. read more

Hit or miss. Pizza is nastay but depends on who makes it. The younger man who served us. Gave us a pizza undercooked and not sliced. Great Burgers tho! Sad as they are so close and would be nice to not have to go into town for more options. read more

First visit and definitely won't be the last. These are by far some of, if not the, best burgers in Maricopa. The SourBro Jack Melt was so good even once I got full I kept eating anyway. The fries were crispy and flavorful. Everything was fresh. The staff were friendly and checked out on to make sure our first trip would lead to a repeat visit. If you found Farmer's by searching Yelp for "Restaurants," you're in for a surprise, but it will be a pleasant one. This place is appended to a small convenience store with a couple of gas pumps out front, situated at a crossroads in the middle of alfalfa fields southwest of Maricopa. The "restaurant" is more of a long indoor counter fronted by a half dozen small tables. There is more seating outside, but it was 96° outside when I stopped by so those tables were empty. Given the rustic neighborhood, I suspect flies are another good reason to dine inside. The menu is varied: pizza, burgers, sandos, some salads, desserts, and kids' items. I kept it simple and ordered the green chile burger, fries and a soda. My order was ready in 10 minutes. My burger was hot, juicy, perfectly cooked just this side of medium, and flavorful. The generous slab of grilled hatch chile was nicely complimented by pepper jack cheese and mayo. The fries were double-cooked, crispy but light, and delicious. I really enjoyed my meal in this clean, well-run out-of-the-way gem. I don't know where this place is on the way to--it's well off the main roads between Tucson and Phoenix--but it's well worth the detour. read more

Honestly didn't expect this restaurant to be all that great but the burger was very good. Immersed in the local culture here and it's not even the center of the plaza but this place is really busy. Had to eat outside in the Arizona hot but it wasn't terrible because I had a moist, tasty meal to take my mind off it. Brought family in and would do it again. Nom'ed on it. read more

The green chili burger is so delicious. Also love their fried mushrooms, and basically anything we've tried has been really good.

Not sure why this place is so hyped up. Food was terrible. Pizza was terrible, wings were terrible, pickles were terrible. I was excited to eat here due to the good reviews I kept seeing but it was the complete opposite. Found this place by accident while exploring the southwestern part of Maricopa and was it an awesome surprise! Just after 2 PM we wondered in and were greeted by Jordan, Jessaca, Bree, Angela and multiple screens with their huge menu on tap. Basically something for everyone! We tried the Mushroom Bacon Swiss and the California burger, both cooked perfect along with some awesome waffle cut sweet potato fries, great portion of food for the price. Also took home the AZ Philly fries which were also very good, definitely worth a visit with all the meal, soda and dessert choices. Will be back to try many, many more items thanks to the friendly welcoming staff!!! read more

Excellent food and service. Finally a good restaurant that's not a chain. Inside seating is limited but they also have outdoor seating.

Six of us went to Farmers after leaving a disappointing visit to a food truck. The pizza was great in appearance and taste. We had two different styles of Philly cheese steaks that were wonderful. Our other couple had the pastrami sandwich and a great grilled cheese sandwich. If you like French fries this is the place. We will most definitely return.
