Mychale sharing in a solicited request!

I had a wonderful experience at The Brickyard Downtown in Chandler. What stood out most was the balance between attentive service and giving guests the space to simply enjoy their food, conversation, and mood. The staff wasn't overbearing or constantly interrupting, but they were there exactly when you needed them. It felt as though they genuinely mirrored each customer and gave them the kind of experience they were looking for. The food was excellent, and the appetizers were especially impressive--elevated, thoughtfully developed, and beautifully executed. The chef deserves recognition for the creativity and care that clearly went into the menu. A special shoutout to Angela, Mychale, and Tiara, who were busy but still seemed to have a sharp eye on everything happening around them. Sitting at the bar was a delight because of the way the three of them worked together. They were professional, attentive, and, most importantly, seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs and the people they worked alongside. There was no unnecessary huddling, side conversations, or unprofessional behavior. They remained engaged with the guests while still enjoying each other's company. One moment really stood out to me. Someone accidentally dropped a glass, and another team member immediately checked to make sure she was okay--not just physically but making sure that smile was still there. That small moment said a lot about the kind of people working there. Truly classy service, great food, and a team that knows how to make people feel comfortable without hovering. The Brickyard Downtown is definitely a place worth experiencing.

We stopped in for happy hour on a Friday afternoon. This place has a great vibe, nice bar area with lots of different liquors. The staff were attentive and friendly. My wife ordered a Pimm's Cup and I got a beer. The Pimm's Cup was delicious and well made, and of course the beer was cold. We decided to try the Banh Mi Tacos. The order came with three tacos that were absolutely delicious! The downside was the portion size was small and I could eat a whole plate full. They are definitely worth getting, especially during happy hour.

I wish the Brickyard was closer to me. I would be there more often. Seriously, It's a fantastic bar. For those nearby to Downtown Chandler and haven't gone yet...go! The restaurant and craft cocktail bar is located in historic downtown area, and is known for its creative, shareable plates and imaginative drinks. The food and cocktail menu rotates seasonally with fun themes. Current cocktail theme is "Ambrosia of the Gods" and I look forward to trying a cocktail offering. The pictures I posted are from visits that I've had over time.

This review is long overdue. After drinks and bites at The Living Room on Saturday, May 6, 2017, Rachel took Allen, David and me to THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN for more alcoholic beverages. Nestled in historic downtown Chandler, in the narrow sliver of Boston Street, the speak-easy themed cocktail bar and restaurant is located inside the former home of the Chandler Arizonan, the city's original hometown newspaper since 1912. With exposed brick walls and rich wood finishes, the historic site provides an upscale, contemporary urban and industrial-chic setting. After easily finding parking in walking distance from the entrance, we arrived shortly before midnight of the 7th. They were closing soon, but we had enough time to order a round of craftly-made cocktails and beers to down quickly. It helps when your friend knows the bartender. Enter smiley face emoji here. THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN is credited for the first place that I ever tried a CLOVER CLUB, a pink, frothy cocktail with fruity, citrusy, velvety qualities. I was instantly tickled pink, literally, by the nostalgic feel of the elegant concoction, topped with artfully designed egg white foam and served in a vintage-style champagne glass. What a beauty of a drink with a touch of class and sophistication! Almost made me want to throw on a flapper dress and dance the Charleston...until I realized the need to balance from the powerful punch in the serious drink. Fancy, stiff cocktails served at THE BRICKYARD DOWNTWON fo shizz. No complaints about that here! It's been a while since I visited Arizona. Maybe it's time to return. If/when I do, I will mos def drop by THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN again!

The first time I came here was for drinks on a first date.. ( drinks were phenomenal BTW) The date went very well and 3 years later he took me there to celebrate our anniversary. I finally got to try their food! It was amazing! Everything is shareable and we choose the Loaded Potatoes, Mole chicken skewers, and the Short Rib Barbacoa. The flavors on all melded so well together. The server was so nice and very knowledgeable. The drinks were on point and we also got their chocolate truffles that just melted in your mouth.

This small downtown Chandler has a great atmosphere with lots of exposed brick. There is a long bar, regular tables and high tops. We arrived as most of the breakfast/brunch customers were leaving. Our server was nice and brought us water right away. The menu here is very Asian inspired. My son loves okonomiyaki, so he ordered the Japanese Breakfast and a Golden Fleece, a yuzu cocktail. He said his breakfast was excellent. I ordered the Chinese Chilaquiles. It was definitely different from Mexican Chilaquiles, but it was delicious. I enjoyed brunch a lot, and I would like to come back in the thinking to try the dinner tapas menu.

Great experience at Brickyard in Scottsdale. Dim, moody ambiance and excellent service--the hostess and servers were attentive and did a great job explaining the dishes. The mole chicken skewers were tender with great flavor, but spicier than expected. The menu doesn't note spice levels, and I'm sensitive to heat, so that was a surprise. The potato gnocchi with chicken sausage was the standout--phenomenal flavor and texture. Food is served tapas-style. Overall, strong dishes, great service, and a vibe I'd definitely return for.

8.15.25 - arrived here some time after 10pm on a Friday evening and luckily they had a table available for 6 of us. Service was quick and friendly. The food came out pretty quick too. We ordered a bunch of different items off the menu to share family style with the whole group. Order: Achilles cocktail $12 Old Fashioned w/ tequila x12 $?? Ahi Tuna Tartare $24 Pork Belly Skewers $15 Loaded Potatoes $14 Dumplings $18 Crab & Avocado Toast $25 12oz Prime Ribeye $58 Thai Salad x2 $15 each Green Curry Tiger Shrimp $24 Short Rib Barbacoa $46 The Achilles cocktail was refreshing. Pretty sure the guys liked their drinks. They got like 3 rounds of it. Out of all the food, I would say my favorites were the dumplings, crab & avocado toast, prime ribeye, thai salad and green curry tiger shrimp. Was too full to try the short rib barbacoa but looked like everyone liked it. I don't eat pork but they all liked the pork belly skewers too. Loaded potatoes weren't bad. The only thing we didn't really like was the ahi tuna tartare. Bit disappointed they got rid of the french dip but the new items and drinks were pretty good!

Cute place, very unique tapas type place, the drinks are named after Greek mythology. Food menu is limited with unique eclectic flavors. Loaded potatoes were a little salty & real heavy. Steak skewers were delicious thanks to the recommendation of the female bartender, didn't get her name, she is terrific. The mini bricks were good, the fries were excellent. Seating is limited, arrived at 4pm with plenty of open seats, host said we needed to sit at the bar, but our first choice, most of the same tables were open when we left. Very cool ambiance.

NYE courses dinner special! I have been to brickyard several times and am consistent impressed with service and quality standard of their food! The service is high class, the cocktails are consistently supreme and the food is intricate and well balanced. This is a tapas style menu best enjoyed to share multiple plates amongst your party! And the ambiance here is romantic and cozy, perfect for a date night!

Came here tonight and had a great time! The service was very good and attentive. The food portions for tapas were great and I probably did not need to order two tapas for myself but it was awesome trying different stuff! I got the fried chicken and beef tartare. I loved the dim Light ambiance. The chicken was more on the salty side but overall a cool vibe!!

Been in multiple times, but let me say that you need to try the pork cheek lo mein. Cheek meat (cow or pig) is absolutely the best cut of meat. This dish is phenomenal, and I couldn't find any reviews of it, so here you go. You are welcome.

We were in Downtown Chandler for Rocktoberfest and wanted to eat before going into the event. We were actually looking for grilled oysters but couldn't seem to find any so we opted to head into the quaint Brickyard and I'm glad that we did. It's a small place but nice and clean with a super friendly staff. The menu is more of a Tapas style menu but all of the food here in super good. Our meat was wrapped in a banana leaf for 24 hours prior to eating it was super moist with tons of pork flavor my mouth is still watering while I'm writing this review. The meal was perfect for two people and we just loved our waiter just really polite and friendly a quality that alot of servers now a days lack. I highly recommend The Brickyard if you're in Downtown Chandler or live near by we'll definitely be back

Open for NYE celebration? Music? Special?

Hey Rich, we are indeed open. We are offering a multi-course pre-fixe dinner, for which we do have 2-3 reservations left available. Because we are such a small space, we will not have live music for the evening. We will also open up the bar to…

Are you open Christmas Eve (Friday)?

Hey! Yes, we will be! We may close a bit earlier than we usually do (probably 10p) but would be honored to have you visit!

    Does the Brickyard take reservations?

We only take reservations for large parties over 10, and allow only one large party per evening! You can join our waitlist anytime (even if you are not yet at the restaurant) through the Open Table app. Thank you for thinking of us!

Do they allow dogs in the patio?

Yes indeed, we do! Would be honored to have your furry friends join us!

Would it be inappropriate to bring a baby here? I have a newborn and I'm not ready to leave her behind yet.

Hi Analysa, it would be totally fine to bring your baby! Many guests have kept their baby in their lap, or a neighboring chair with the carrier in it! Honored you’re considering to dine with us! - Chelsea, Manager

I'm thinking of having an anniversary dinner with my girlfriend. Do you have any specials on given nights that are not on the menu? And what is the dress code like and do you take reservations?

Hi Ken! Honored that you are considering us for your special evening. We rotate our menu often (typically 4 times a year). We don't run off-menu specials, but our menu is refreshed frequently, so I can promise you'll be experiencing something…

Do I need reservation to dine here?

No, but you probably should make reservations. They get busy quickly

    Do they take reservations?

Since we are a small and intimate restaurant, we only take reservations for groups 10 and larger! If you ever have a question about your group, please call us (and leave a message if we're out of the restaurant) at 480-963-1373. Always happy to…

Do they have drink specials during happy hour?

Yes! Try the margarita happy hour drink. It has a special name but ask and your server will point it out. It's amazing!

We ordered multiple different style and flavor old fashions and the menu will indicate if the it comes with an add on like cookie or bacon with a little icon. The cookies were all fantastic! The bacon was tasty but a little bit soggy and not crispy for my taste. But the fat and savor of the bacon really works well with the sweet old fashioned choices. The sweet cookie works well with the less sweet and more tart options. It's pretty smart. Our server, Hanna was very attentive with food, drinks and waters and also very upbeat. Definitely not a dull place to get a drink at all. People seemed to be having a good time and enjoying the cozy feel of the bar. I would recommend this place if you're in downtown Chandler for cocktails and drinks and you don't want to stand all night and prefer to sit and chat.

If you're looking for a gorgeous venue with an incredible staff, beautiful décor, and amazing food, we wholeheartedly recommend Hidden House. Thank you for giving us the wedding of our dreams! We will be back every year to celebrate

We love this little gem! There are two wonderful outdoor patios, obviously not for summer seating but during our nice weather, beautiful! Wife had a Blue Hawaiian and said it was flavorful and perfect except a bit less ice would make it better. We decided to share a meal tonight so started with their Loaded House Salad, which they split for us. We loved this salad! Their tarragon ranch dressing was perfect with the mixed greens, the grape tomatoes, pepitas, and bacon crumbles...such a good salad! We shared their popular short ribs (they charged $2 for plate share) which were cooked to tender perfection and served over a creamy white bean puree. Delicious for sure! We finished with some of their Black Forest Cake which was the bomb! Tender, moist chocolate cake rounds with the best tasting whip that has vanilla bean in it and then some great cherry jam to set it all off. What a great meal!

My husband and I enjoy kicking off our Sunday close to the opening hour at 7am. We eat a delicious breakfast option inside first. My husband orders a breakfast sandwich while I don't just like but LOVE the avacado toast. If available, we take our coffee and sit outside on the patio. The coffee is full bodied and delicious. My husband is a hot mocha guy. They have ice water at the front and in their spacious backyard seating area. It is a dog friendly destination. We enjoy seeing the wide variety of furry regulars. There are free treats for them. The service is consistently friendly and on top of their game. They really know how to move a line but you never feel rushed. They offer a points/ reward program for purchases which is always nice. When I asked my husband about cost he said it is so good he didn't even look! I checked our transaction history. For both of us including tip it was around $44- very decent in this day and age for such high quality. What a gem in Downtown Chandler!

My friend and I both ordered mediums with 75% sweetness, and it was the perfect drink for a hot, humid summer morning. Sweet enough to feel like a treat without being over the top. We also ordered matching bagel sandwiches. I do wish they offered a turkey bacon option, but the sandwiches were still hot, fresh, and delicious. The real star was the mayo aioli. I could probably put that on just about anything. The vibes are wonderful too. It's cozy, welcoming, and the kind of coffee shop where you want to linger with a friend for a while. My only critique is the layout of the front room. There always seems to be a line, but there's not really a good place for it to go besides in front of the entrance and the water station. It turns into a lot of "excuse me" and people weaving around each other. It's definitely a good problem to have because they're clearly popular, but I hope as they continue to flourish, they're able to expand into a larger space or rethink the flow a bit. Either way, I'll absolutely be back. Just save me another coconut brown sugar latte.

The chicken tenders were fire!!! What is lacking on this occasion was service. The server that we had was so unattentative. I have never been in a cocktail lounge in my life and had to beg for drinks. Our server would wait until every drinks was made for all of her tables before bringing out drinks. It was ridiculous. She was nice but seemed high. I ended up only having 2 drinks. We would have ordered more but they have 90min max seating and we didn't event get drinks for the first 30min. No exaggeration. Also one of my drinks I had to send back. My apple martini tasted like soap. It was like they did clean the glass after giving a soap bath. No bueno. So they need to get their service to match the vibe of a true cocktails lounge. Yes it is a 70s vibe but doesn't mean the lackadaisical style service. I would come back and try again. The music, the atmosphere and the food was good. They gotta get these cocktails together and service. We ended up walking to nearby competitors and that was money lost for DDG.

So let's start off with the fact that when you're seated , they disclose that this is a "90 minute experience." . My only issue is that getting your drinks and food might take 80 minutes. Great atmosphere. They have a disco ball in the middle , just like the 70s. Music is not too loud. Dimly lit, but perfect. Order your drinks right away, because ours took forever. Nothing to write home about here. The real crab Rangoon is ok but they are small. The chicken tenders are huge portions. It's like they cut a breast in half for each tender. That was the saving grace. I like the experience. Wanted to give 5 stars , but I can't due to the "mid" experience.
