Had the pleasure of trying out this new location. I was greeted as soon as I walked thru the door. The food was piping hot and delicious. I had chicken with medium spicy sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, and brussel sprouts. Everything was great. I love that they had all different sauces available to take. I added some lemon&herb sauce to the brussel sprouts and i ate them with no problem (not usually a fan). Their menu is pretty extensive. Prior to this visit, it'd been years since I've had Nando's and it didn't disappoint. This location in particular is perfectly situated in an already thriving plaza. While visiting family in Maryland I met up with a friend for lunch at Nando's. This was our first time here. The staff was really great and friendly. I had the Chicken thighs, Brussel Sprouts and Rice. My friend got the Chicken sandwich, Brussel Sprouts and Fries. When I initially considered the thigh plate I almost did not get it thinking that I could not eat 3 thighs. But these are smaller boneless thighs. The chicken was great and I loved the seasoning. I also like that they had a lot of sauces that you could help yourself to if you wanted to add an extra kick. The Brussel sprouts were really good and the rice was good. My friend enjoyed his food also. The interior of the restaurant is really nice also. A few days later I went back for a takeout order for the whole family. This time I included the Chicken Thigh skewers in the order. They liked the whole thighs but the thigh meat on the skewers was a little dry. I approached the register - requested that she please wash her hands prior to bagging additional orders - she instantly got an attitude! Told manager what I had told her - he never looked up - never spoke to me about my concern. Then the cook on the grill - decided he wanted more soda - left grill - with his cup - went into dining area - filled up his cup - and returned to grill I CANCELLED MY ORDER! Manager again - never acknowledged any concerns I had - and did not refund me the entire amount I had paid - which included gratuity - which was asked for during my ordering - prior to receiving any food!! First and last visit. When I ordered online, it stated my order would be ready in 9 minutes - at 1919 - but I didn't get my order until after 1940. I entered at 1921 to pick-up my order and it wasn't ready. I inquired at 1930 and was told my order would be ready shortly. Sadly, this visit was a total fail. I was served undercooked chicken with Portuguese rice that easily meets my sodium intake for an entire week. I attempted to capture the chicken in pics. I put a bite in my mouth before properly checking it. The skin clearly has grill marks but the texture upon tasting it was my first clue that something was wrong- it was not warm and it tasted fake/chewy. I quickly spit it out. It almost looked fake. It was an odd color - slightly transparent and also pink in other places....it looked like maybe it had been frozen and then not thoroughly cooked? I've only had Nando's a handful of times before today and I am trying to figure out why this isn't a part of my normal rotation. Although I've been coming to Nandos for years. This experience was different for me. I was trying something new... a chicken bowl. Usually I order boned in chicken w/ 2 sides! That's standard. Today I noticed that they had chicken bowls! I love that they are expanding their menu creating more healthy options. The bowl came with chicken tenders, rice, greens, corn, red bell peppers, and a scoop of hummus! The bowl was great. But I'm unsure on how much of a healthy approach this was simply bc they rice was so much. I think implementing more greens and less rice will make this bowl worth wild. read more

Second visit today and it did not disappoint! Quite a few people rolled through while we were there. Today I got the wings and a side order of fries. my husband got a hearty chicken bowl. The thing I like about Nando's is that they provide all different types of sauces to accompany your meal that range from mild up to ridiculously hot. I'm a wimp and I only went with the medium and the lemon and herb which were excellent choices if I do say so myself. Both entrées were ample and as a matter fact of the 12 wings I may have eaten six. The rest I brought home to my son who in a matter of seconds, made it all disappear. The drinks were yummy as well. Tropical and refreshing blackberry and peach tea. So good! Service at Nando's was very good. Upon entering the establishment we were greeted asked if we were eating in (we were), asked us to pick a table at which time she reserved the table for us. That was a nice touch because once we reserve that table the one behind us was not available for seating due to Covid. The food is average to me. I have eaten at Nando's PERi-PERi twice so far and do not wish to eat there again. My taste buds deserve better. I need the chef to season the food and add flavor. This is not South African food. I was familiar with the PERi-PERi hot sauces from years ago and liked the flavor. Therefore, I was curious to try this restaurant when I passed it. The PERi-PERi sauces are tasty and good from medium, HOT, to Xtra and HOT. The chicken breast pita and Caesar Salad I ordered was bland, dry, unseasoned chicken, and a meal that was not tasty. I didn't like it. The chicken was at the bottom of the pita wrap, and the lettuce toppings were right on top of it. There was no mixture of chicken and lettuce in the wrap. My Caesar Salad needed more dressing. The Parmesan cheese was not shaven as a traditional Caesar Salad, and it appeared to be the 'powdered' Parmesan cheese. The Hostess both times I went displayed exceptional customer service. They were warm and welcoming with excellent customer service skills. The cashier on my second time dining at Nando's was rude, curt, inappropriate, and had bad customer service skills. She was a disgrace to cashier/customer service workers. Luckily, a worker asked me how my meal was upon finishing it and he was extremely mannerable with great customer skills. I expressed to him my dissatisfaction of the food and the rude cashier woman behind the counter. He apologized and told me more information about Nando's. I appreciated that. I personally am not impressed with Nando's PERi-PERi restaurant. The rotisserie chicken was edible to average. I understand why some people may like it. It saddens me that this place doesn't have better reviews. I have ordered from this place through DoorDash many times and the food is always delicious. About three days ago I actually ate inside of the restaurant which is only a couple minutes up the road and I must say WOW! The staff is absolutely wonderful. Everyone was kind, polite, and knowledgeable of the menu. The establishment is clean and I love the decor! It has great music and I love all of the colors. I've been to other locations, but this is my first time coming to this one. The food was tasty and consistent with the others. I had the wings combo (half hot and half lemon herb) with the red skin mashed potatoes and garlic bread. My husband also had the wings combo (medium) with cole slaw and garlic bread. I had the blood orange mango lemonade. It was pretty tart, but if you're into that like I am, then you'll enjoy it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My dad ordered fries that weren't hot when they came out, and an employee promptly replaced them with steaming hot ones. I tried my husband's cole slaw because it looked REALLY good. It wasn't my (or his) favorite. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't for me. The MOD checked on us and made sure we were enjoying and had enjoyed our food. My only complaint is something they probably can't help, but the prices are so high for a fast casual restaurant. Two combos with two sides each and two drinks were a little under $50! This is by far the worst Nandos location in the area. From the customer service to the food... just not great. Food is never ready in a timely manner and workers will just walk past you instead of checking on your order. I have ordered wings and they've come back burnt. I've ordered wraps and they've barely had any chicken! Tonight I ordered about an hour before close through the app. I had to wait 40 minutes after my pickup time for my food and when I got home I realized my order was not only wrong, but missing items as well. It's honestly sad at this point. This location is less than 10 minutes from my house but I will make the drive for a better Nandos. read more

I anticipate that the food is good as per other locationsl. They seem to be abiding by the social distancing practices. Staff is friendly. The place is clean. Truly a nice place to either dine in or take out. Just one suggestion.... when placing the food in the containers maybe add a sticker to the closure of the boxes of chicken. When I went to get my bag out of my back seat it shifted in the car while driving so when I opened my door the bag tumbled a bit. I caught the bag but the 1/2 chicken and salad fell out of the box and out of the bag onto the floor. So I didn't get to enjoy my food to give a taste review. But it sure did smell good. This was my very first time trying Nando's. I was very excited to see a new restaurant in my neighborhood. We got the wing platter (24 wings) a few sides (mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts) and garlic bread. I was very disappointed with the wing platter. These were the smallest wings I have ever seen. I knew they were going to be wingettes, however I have never seen such baby wings. It should have been illegal for these baby chickens to be killed. I expected to feed 3 people with this order however, I was only able to feed 2 due to the size of the wings. Usually has a great record, however this Nandos I don't know whether it was because of the time (8:44) when I placed my order but it seemed to be that they young staff that was more interested in their phones than actually making sure that my order was complete. Customer service spot light!! Our visit started off rocky as they have converted to the QR code ordering system which unfortunately was not as user friendly as it was designed to be. The system did not allow to add notes like "well done" to Chicken, specify we would like their specialty tractor drinks or an option for if you would like to pay at register or utilize cash. We shared out dissatisfaction with Phoebe (not sure if she is a manager but she should be!) She promptly addressed the concerns and checked us out herself. The food and drinks were good. While we were there we witnessed Phoebe leave no stone unturned! When a line of customers came in, she hopped on the register, when the cook line needed assistance she stepped in, made sure pick up customers had what they needed and still had time to make rounds to the tables to make sure each one was enjoying their experience. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Woodmore MD location on June 26. 2022. As a loyal customer I was thrown aback at the complete lack of attention, respect and basic consideration as a customer of your establishment. On June 26th I placed an order that was to be ready at 5:47pm. By 6:06pm we did not receive food, and I noticed multiple customers who ordered after me did. I approached a staff member to inquire about our meal in which she had the plate of wings and said "oh you didn't get the rest of your food". I said no and she ensured me that it would be out shortly but that the kitchen "ran out of thighs but they have some now and it will take 10 minutes before it would be ready." I told her to bring what was ready as I am currently pregnant and was extremely hungry. By 6:36p I still did not receive my sandwich and no one updated us on our order. I then asked to speak with the manager who replied that "he was to busy to speak with me". I asked the staff member, for corporates phone number and my sandwich to which she replied "you can find it online". Shocked at such a dismissive statement I told her that I needed her to retrieve the number for me and provide the managers name as well as hers and the cashiers. Neither her or the cashier would provide their names. By 6:44pm the manager eventually came to the front and handed me "corporates number", which was actually the Woodmore's store number. Considering that I only had rice and a salad, I asked the manager if my sandwich was ready and he said he didn't know. I asked the staff member did she know if it was available and not only did she say that she didn't know but her and the cashier laughed in our faces! At no time did the manager or any staff members offer solutions to rectify the situation. I told him that I need a refund. I am extremely disappointed with the entire staff. At no time did anyone come to our table and keep us up to date with our order. I must note that for majority of our visit, we were the only occupied table and I witnessed over 8 in store and online order be fulfilled. The entire time that we were in the restaurant the employees at the register were hanging out, on their cell phones, completely oblivious to our needs as customers. I even walked in on an employee in the bathroom on her cell phone. While I understand that the restaurant business can be overwhelming and that at times incidents will occur, the complete disregard and disrespect that we receive from each employee has left me with a negative view of Nandos Peri Peri as a whole. I trust the Nandos Peri Peri will take the necessary steps to ensure that no one else has to experience what me and my guest experienced today. I am truly questioning if I or my guess will every visit another establishment or recommend Nandos Peri Peri to our peers. I know that we will NEVER be back to this location! No utensils, ketchup or napkins out. The condiments bar was gross and needed cleaning. He has a big appetite so he decides to get the "3 Chicken Thighs" meal with two sides & I got the wings. When we got our food home, the chicken thighs looked more like chicken "nuggets". It looked as if they took one whole chicken thigh and cut it into three pieces. Never in all of my life have I ever seen a thigh the same size as a wing. If I could give a zero for service, I would! My husband and I were eager to try this place since we had never been before and visiting from out of town. We ordered at the counter and found a booth. The food smelled great but we never got to taste it! Three tables (that I saw) were served before us. Plus, over 10 take out orders were completed while we waited. After 30 minutes of waiting, a server came over to tell us our order would be ready in 2 minutes. Another table was being served before us (who arrived at least 15 minutes after us). At that point we had waited over 40 minutes for our food that we never got. We asked for a refund, which the manager gave. However, there was never an offer to cover our meal or provide us with a gift card to visit in the future. Manager had the audacity to give us retainer vouchers (buy one get one free) after we waited over an HOUR to get our food & on top of that we were missing food.
