Saturday 1/10/26 I've had this spot on my radar for a minute, and I was finally able to visit. I made a takeout order and took advantage of the 20% off "local" coupon and got the coco bread $2.25, curry platter (small) $11.50, white meat jerk chicken sandwich (small) $10.75, and the daily lunch special (comes w/ beef patty & drink) $14. - The service I experienced was quite good. Although I received my food 7 min late, the staff member assisting me was kind and personable. - All the food was solid to good, with my favorite being the white jerk chicken sandwich. - The portions received from the platters and sandwiches definitely surpassed my expectations, as you certainly get good value for your dollar. - My only real knock would be the cabbage being underwhelming as it was lacking flavor, and it was undercooked, but that was the only negative. - Also, the beef patty was just alright as it was too doughy and not as much meat filling, but it was saved by pairing it with the coco bread. Ultimately, I'm going to give a 5/5 as I was pleasantly impressed with my entire experience. The service and the coupon were the cherry on top. -- #issa.cheatday

Stopped by Just Jerk in Lanham, MD for lunch and wow. This place stays busy, and for good reason. The spot is super small and pretty dilapidated, but honestly, when I see a place like this, I already expect the food to be FIRE, and it didn't disappoint. This was my second visit. The first time, the service felt a little cold, but this time was a huge improvement. The women at the front desk were working non-stop; taking in-person orders, answering phones, packing food, handing off Uber Eats orders, basically running the entire operation. They were clearly working hard and keeping everything moving as efficiently as possible despite how packed it was. I ordered the large brown stew meal with cabbage only, plus an extra order of jerk chicken (dark meat, mild). The food was exactly what I hoped for: comforting, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Bottom line: the food had to be good because this place stayed BUSY!!! Definitely worth the wait if you're craving solid Jamaican food.

I went back for that jerk turkey burger! SO BOMBB! They make them fresh to order so it takes about 30 mins. It was so good but next time I will be requesting coco bread because the bun it was served one was too little for the burger and it got messy very quickly.

So I literally just got off of work, I'm going an event tonight, so I slid by one of my favorite Jamaican eateries for dinner later. That's it. Oh...I didn't do the most!! . Where I am: @justjerk_maryland . Location Reviewed: 9005 Lanham Severn Rd., Lanham M.D. . Items Reviewed: STAMP!! Their Large Jerk Chicken Platter ($16.50 with 1/4 grilled jerked chicken, rice & peas, & cabbage-LIKE THAT). Freshly grilled chicken, with a mildly spicy/sweet'ish jerk sauce (I tasted cinnamon in that sauce, & I get extra sauce if they let me), sauced up rice, & crisp cabbage!! . Parking: Rough when packed!! . Customer Service: If you're a good customer...you get good customer service. If you're not a good customer...you get the same energy you give!! . Recommendations: Get that Jerk Chicken Platter with extra sauce!! . Accessibility: It's wheelchair friendly, & it's differently abled persons friendly. 5 Stars=STAMP 4 1/2 Stars=LIKE THAT 4 Stars=DELICIOUS 3 Stars=DECENT 2 Stars=PASS 1 Star=NAH #Bigschlimsreviews

1/2 dark meat with cabbage and peas and rice

Small but very popular location. From the time I arrived until the time I left, there was a steady flow of people in the store. It only took about 10 minutes to order and I waited no more than 20 minutes for the 1/2 dark meat jerk chicken with peas and rice and cabbage. I asked for the plantain on the side. What I loved: - food was made to order - the chicken was seasoned down to the bone - the presentation was professional - it was enough food for 2 meals Their version of jerk flavor wasn't my favorite but it wasn't badl. Knowing that it's a popular spot, maybe I may need to try something else.

Just jerk really has some outstanding jamaican food this was my first time here, and all of the reviews I read were true, and right I will definitely be back to this little jam packed place . Also they have really good customer service.

Go here. Just go here. I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich and lunch special platter. Everything was phenomenal. The only thing that caught me off guard is the bones left in the jerk chicken sandwich. Made eating in the car impossible. I know that's more of a me problem but there's no indoor seating so youd hope they put more consideration in the takeout experience. Nonetheless, I loved it.

I've been to this spot several times in the past. The food is always fresh service is normally fast, it does get busy at times. The jerk chicken salad is good as well as the chicken rice/ beans and cabbage meal always hit the spot as well.

I decided to have a taste adventure and learn what a Jamaican Black cake was. Not a bad decision! Loved it. This cake tastes like Christmas! I'm thinking it's a dark rum that they use along with delicious fruits in the cake. You can really taste the marzipan, as well. How lovely! There is nothing plain about the unassuming Butter Rum cake. It is somehow flavorful, dense and rich while still maintaining a lighter flavor. Now onto the juices. Get them. Get 6. Get 12. We tasted the Pineapple Ginger. Meow meow meow meow meow. The Cherry Guava Ginger juice is so warming - ie ginger that brings much heat - and I love it. They have authentic Jamaican dishes here and I've tried and enjoyed the Chicken Roti long ago. I'd love to come back for the seafood dishes. They have many varieties of patties with coco bread. The beef patty with coco bread is the best amount of spicy heat for me. BTW, you could smell the curry all the way from the main road. I knew right away which restaurant that lovely smell was coming from. Their service was also fabulous with us. That's why they are 5 Stars.

When I tell you that oxtail was falling off the bone? 10/10. The brown stew chicken was flavorful, tender, and cooked just right. The cabbage was seasoned perfectly, not soggy, not bland. Everything on that plate hit. No complaints about the food whatsoever. The space itself is small, clean, and minimally decorated. Nothing fancy, but very well-kept, and I appreciate that. Service was good. The owner personally took care of me and accommodated my request to swap out the rice for extra cabbage with no issue. I always appreciate when owners are hands-on and attentive. Now for the hiccup: the credit card machine wasn't working, so I had to pay via Cash App. Not ideal, but okay. What almost took me out was the attempt to add a service charge. I definitely spoke up because that extra $1? Yeah... it was about the principle. Sheesh. Overall, the positives outweighed the minor inconvenience. The food alone would have me coming back. And for me, that says a lot.

This is still a good healthier option oppose to the many of terrible choices we have to choose from, this beats most unhealthy fast foods restaurants. For that reason I would return to try other food options. If you like chickpeas then this is your meal, Im not so it threw off the salad to me. I would have preferred chicken. Honestly, everything came together nicely as one salad, nothing was over powering. I'm just not a fan of chickpeas. At heart, I'm a man that truly enjoy most Caribbean dishes ( oxtails, goat, curry/jerk chicken,…read moreroti, etc ) So, I set out on a quest to give a new Caribbean cuisine restaurant a shot at winning me over. That's when I bumped into Caribbean Dish... The name got me, yes it's basic, but the title was exactly what I was looking for. The restaurant is in a small unassuming parking lot... if you don't know it's there, you probably will miss it ( so glad I didn't !! ) The minute I walked in, I felt authentic family vibes ( something I look for when choosing my Caribbean locations ) The service was very friendly, and they cleared everything up when I wasn't sure if my particular craving could be fulfilled ( the combo I desired wasn't on their daily menu ) My sights were set on the oxtail and curry goat combo ( of course with rice & peas and veggies ! ) And when I say the goat was tender, and seasoned to perfection... while the oxtails had that juicy meatiness that will for sure keep me coming back. The rice & peas were cooked just right ( texture was on point ) and the veggies still had that freshness that brought everything else together. I love my Caribbean dishes saucy and not dry ( they get two thumbs up in that department ! ) Family vibes, cheerful greeting, and amazing food.... Caribbean Dish you just locked yourself in a loyal customer !!!!! Give them a shot and I can almost guarantee you won't be disappointed !!!

Their HH runs Mon-Fri from 5-7 and include 5-7 cocktails, beer, and wine that they offer at $2ish off the regular price. We stuck with the cocktails and had their Blue Lagoons (which are essentially electric blue vodka lemonades) for $8ish. They were tasty and after 2 of them, we were definitely ready to party. Next time, I want to try the rum punch for $10 - though I noticed the rum punch was premade (vs being made fresh per order). Unfortunately, there are no food offers on the happy hour. The spot was very empty when we arrived, maybe around 5.30p - there was one other couple enjoying time at the bar. Outside of the 8-10 bar seats, they have some lounge level seating, as well as more standard 4-top tables. At the very front of the area, is a small stage where DJ's and karaoke specialists set up. The food was really good; I had the curry chicken plate for $16ish and my girlfriend had the shrimp rasta pasta for $19ish. The food was very flavorful and came out piping hot from the kitchen. I'd get the curry again, for sure. The environment and vibe was the most enjoyable part of my visit; the hip hop and top40's music gave the place a great energy (but wasn't so loud that you couldn't chat. The bartenders were energetic, lively, and friendly. There seemed to be alot of regular patrons who knew each other and the bartenders - that's a really good sign.
