This is a super busy location I visited around 8:00 p.m. on a Friday night it was full they only had one table left for two thank God! But while I ordered and waited for my food ate my food it was constantly busy ....large groups and families revolving a door the front had a lineup for people taking take out and they also had a patio so people were opting to sit in the patio instead of waiting for a table inside. The way that nando's serves their food it's very family style they'll put the meat on one plate the side on another plate so I can understand why family is enjoy coming here. But because there's a lot of family it's very very loud so if you don't like loud restaurants it will bother you there's kids screaming conversations happening. If you have a family it's also a safe space to go and not have to worry about people complaining about your children There is a bit of a wait but I understand because the restaurant is full, they have takeout orders, and they have skipped editions or Uber orders. I got the strawberry lemonade and my mother got the mango lemonade the mango was better but don't get me wrong the strawberry lemonade is really good however they do serve the lemonade without ice think it would taste so much better with ice. I appreciate that they're trying to give me my money's worth of drink but I do think it would taste better with ice . We ordered the half a chicken meal to share and then we got two sides we upgraded to the sweet potato as well as brussel sprouts and then got a side of garlic bread we both left feeling content not super full but we weren't hungry. The chicken was made really well I love that there is a char taste to it. I got mine hot they do have an extra hot I think hot is perfect enough where your nose won't be running but you'll still taste the spice. The sweet potato comes with a little bit of cheese on top they were very conservative with the cheese they could put some more and some pumpkin seeds I believe or some type of seeds I think that the sweet potato was absolutely delicious I did have a few bites though that were a little undercooked but other than that the taste the flavor is really good. The brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly and then they had again a little charge to it but not too much I felt that with the two sides that we chose the meal did not feel happy or greasy. I loved how they came with sauces so you can share with people and still add spicy sauce if you want to. The hot sauce was very good and spicy. However, the chicken barely had any meat on it. I read the reviews and noted that ordering at the store took a really long time so I placed an online order before heading to the location. That was the right choice because it was an absolute madhouse when I arrived. The meals we bought came with 2 bottled drinks. Since we were eating the food there, I asked if they could exchange them for in-store drink cups. The bottles cost more than the fountain drink cups so I thought they'd be happy to do that. Unfortunately they refused. The mashed potatoes were runny and gross. The chicken Caesar wrap was haphazardly made and all the chicken (which wasn't very much) was on one side of the wrap. Finally stopping by to try Nandos after hearing about it from a few friends. There were a lot of tables left around lunch time on a Saturday as most people decided to just do take out. My partner and I decided to try their famous 1/2 chicken with fries and the chicken wings. We opted for non spicy for both since we didn't know how spicy peri peri gets. They did have self serve peri sauce which is great so we had the regular medium and the garlic medium. Both tasted similar but good. The food came out in about 10 ish minutes and on initial thought, the price is pretty high for the portions that we got! The chicken wings were also a bit dry and overdone. Definitely get their 1/2 chicken if you do come here as it's tender and juicy, though overall everything was salty. The fries were mid tier with nothing special about them. After hearing some hype from my friends about Nando's, I decided to give it a go. My partner and I came on a Saturday afternoon and the place was about half full with a few tables remaining. I initially thought it was restaurant style where you would sit down and order but it's more fast food. You place your order at the front, grab a seat at a table and then they bring the food out to you. We ended up getting the 1/2 chicken with peri fries and the chicken wings. Both with no spice. They had a rack filled with sauces and ketchup so we opted for no spice and would just use the sauces provided. They do give out cups of water if you ask so don't be like me and buy a 3 dollar bottle of water. Initial thought was that everything was so salty! I'm not sure if that's the way its suppose to be, but I had to chug down lots of water for this meal. The chicken wings were okay, but not spectacular. I would definitely not order it again. The half chicken was actually quite tender and juicy despite the wing being a tad bit burnt. The fries were also okay, a little soggy and the powder on top was salty. I can't say enough good stuff about Nando's. My family has been having their food (take out and dine in) at this location for several years. What can I say: they never disappoint us. My favourite flavour is lemon and herb. There is always an appropriate level of marinade on it. They usually give the other peri peri sauces on the side so if you want to dunk your chicken in extra sauce/spice you have the option to. The chicken is always grilled to perfection and never dry. My go to sides are the garlic bread and peri peri fries. The rice and steamed veggies are alright. They even gave us complimentary Portuguese tarts once and we were very happy! Came here for lunch after driving past Nando's several times in the area. This was my first time here and I heard it wasn't your traditional fast food or full-service restaurant. Basically, you order at the front counter then head to the dining room. You are able to help yourself to the utensils and Nando's sauces in the dining room while you're waiting for your order. The waitresses and cashiers will try to let you know about this if it's your first time and will hand you a Nando's cockerel stick that you place in the little stands on the table. The dining room was about 3/4 full when I came for lunch. Since it wasn't really fast-food, I was expecting a 15-20 minute wait for my food like other Yelp posters had. Surprisingly, my food came in about 3 minutes! What also surprised me was the price to food ratio you receive. My order came up to about $16 for their quarter chicken, peri peri fries, and a bottle of pop. The whole quarter chicken could actually fit within the size of my hand. Even the 2 pc KFC chicken is about 1.5-2 times the size of what I got. At least the sauce and flavour it somewhat made up for the lack of portion size. The fries on the order hand were OK, as the seasoning powder tasted great but the fries were pretty soft. While I appreciate the flavour and sauce on the chicken, I would definitely consider purchasing their sauces if they were available rather than eating at the restaurant. Garlic bread seemed stale and very tough to chew through. Flavour was good though. The chicken was good and moist. Only recommendation for the restaurant is to have better lighting on their menu that is on the wall. It was so dark in there I could barely see the small fonts and it was not lit at all. First time going to Nando's with the Fam jam. we went on a weekday evening, fairly packed inside. Tbh the service here was okay and pretty fast considering it got more busy later on as soon as sat down. We ordered the party pack since it was about 7 of us and it was a lot of chicken i think it was about 2 whole chickens with plenty of sides with included garlic bread and peri peri fries. Which is basically fries with some sort of red spice on them, really good. Gives it a bit of a kick to em. Theres different kinds of chicken sauces they have here, we got the lemon herb sauce which is pretty tasty if you dont want a spicy sauce. As far as portuguese chicken, i think that this chicken is not authentic portuguese chicken obviously but it is tasty and fresh and fully cooked. In other words its still good. When you get here the deal is you order and pay first and then sit down or take it to go. Sauces and utensils are at a shelf along with napkins. There are levels of spices you can pick for your chicken and this time that we went, the chicken was juicy and not dry. I have worked for Nandos in the UK and this does come close when grilling the chicken. Although I love their sauces and peri fries are to die for... but they usually over cook/ burn the chicken. Instead we got peri-peri fries and coleslaw.. very mediocre. We waited almost 45 minutes to be seated and weren't offered an apology whatsoever for the wait. A little customer service goes a long way. Anyways besides all that, I like that they have a cupboard on the side which has a selection of hot sauces, cutlery, straws and napkins which customers can help themselves to. Going in with almost no expectations as I had never been to any of their restaurants I was so happy that it was really great. Myself and my daughter went for her birthday dinner last night - she ordered a 1/4 chicken with fries and I got chicken skewers with sides of rice and mashed potato and we also ordered the garlic bread. At this particular location you order at the front and then they bring you your food once you sit down. It was very packed which is probably typical for a Saturday night but I was really happy though as we were able to get seated fairly quickly. Our food probably took about 15 minutes which I found very reasonable everything was hot and delicious and you could tell it was freshly made. Her chicken was nice and plump and cooked perfectly as were My skewers. The service was friendly, the staff attentive. My daughter loves spicy foods but her 1 drink was not enough and when I asked for water they were prompt and bringing it to us and asking if I wanted one which I did not need as I was pretty much done eating. We came on Friday June 17, 2022 to dine in, 3 people. The waitress at the reception asked us to seat ourselves and do the order at the counter. The room was crowded and there are not too many options to pick from. one of us is 6'3 and 400lb, so we wanted a table with a bit extra room. We found one on the corner that seats 6. We placed and paid for our order. After 15 minutes and while waiting for our food to come, a waitress came and asked us to move to a smaller booth, in case a bigger group came in. We explained that the other booths won't fit our guy because they are very tight and hardly fit 4 regular size people. She insisted, so we decided to take out our food and not dine in. We were hurt, disappointed and embarrassed by the incident. Everyone around us heard the discussion and we felt that this place has no accommodation to special needs, and doesn't respect their customers. They are very rude and unprofessional. They should assign someone to seat the customers instead of moving them around and embarras and shame them. they could have showed us to seats so we can decide if to stay or leave before we buy the foid. It felt as a trap and unprofessional. Not going there again, and shame on you Nandos for your lack of accommodation and not being inclusive and professional. There a lot of options here and most of them involve chicken, so I hope you like it. Their meals to share come with more-than-enough meat, though I found the small side orders to be too small.
