Not many people know this but Nando has secret off menu sauces. Yes they do. You just have to ask for it. My go to is the Peri Tamer and the Peri Paradise. I like this Nando. The location is great with free parking. It is located in a outdoor mall. They do a lot of take out. I got the chicken sandwich here with the Peri Paradise sauce. Chicken was so flavorful. Staff here are nice. Most people do take out here. So there are plenty of tables available. There are two Nando's location in Richmond and this is one of them. read more

Why do I keep giving them a chance? Last time for sure. A co-worker's Chicken Sandwich with PERi-Fries. That chicken is slider portion. Checkout that chicken-to-bun ratio. Ridiculous. How can you serve this to a customer? Seriously. I ordered the 10 PERi-PERi Whole wings AND 1-hour work lunch DO NOT go together. They brought my food out 35+mins after I ordered. I literally watched my coworkers finish their lunch. I asked for a to-go box when my food came. I mean, I like their wings and dip, but dang. IT IS TIME for LV to get their own Nando's. This city in my opinion is pretty fitness conscious and the very least this is chicken protein. Besides that it is really yummy. Every time we see one in a different city, we make it a mission to go here and have it as our dinner. There are various options besides chicken such as the sides. All the Peri Peri sauce is so tangy and addictive. The chicken is soft and tender/juicy. I just love Nando's. Most of the locations I have been to our more quick meal style - order at the cashier, pay, and take a table number for food running. I fell in love with Nando's when it was introduced to me in the UK, since then- i always hunt for it here in the US! I love how they made their liver & bread was so crunchy. The chicken tasted different but its moist & tender- the lemon & herb is a little dry for me. What i did not experience on this trip are the limited choices of sauces. We were driving by this location, and I mentioned to wifey that I had never had Nando's. She was super surprised and insisted we turn around and get some food. We perused the menu and settled on the "Full pack" - a whole chicken, 2 sides, with garlic bread. We picked the medium sauce for the chicken, and fries and garlic mashed potatoes for the sides. The food arrived 10 minutes later and everything was hot, savory, and delicious! The only miss was the garlic bread, which was greasy and soggy. I think it was good enough to add to our Vancouver list, so we'll be back next time we're in town. read more

I've been a fan of Nando's since an old workmate of mine introduced them to me back in 1999. The chicken and the Peri Peri sauce. That got me hooked. Didn't need much more than that. Since then the chain has grown and you'll find these places throughout Canada and the US. This particular franchise is close to my friends business so I come now and then for chicken. Usually just Chicken and that's it. Stay off the carbs and a glass of water. And these days I don't eat much, so it makes for a good small meal and much better than a burger. Now if you happen to like it spicy as all things in life should be. Then you're in for a treat! So what are you waiting for? I came here with a Groupon, so the deal for tonight's dinner was awesome. Instantly, the cashier knew about the Groupon deal and the transaction was very smooth. I ordered the Dozen lemon-herb wings with the coleslaw ($10) and my boyfriend ordered the Hot half-chicken with peri-fries ($12). The seating area was really pleasant with comfy booth tables and lovely, wooden decor. The food came relatively quickly (about 10-15 mins). My wings were BBQ'd evenly and the coleslaw was fresh, with it not being too creamy. My boyfriend enjoyed his chicken, with me stealing most of his yummy, fresh fries sprinkled with peri-spice. The only down-side was that the spice doesn't penetrate all the way throughout the meat. However, there's a good fix for that because at every table, there are bottles sauce to use at your leisure. Service was really friendly, seating area and bathrooms were clean, and parking was plentiful. Wonderful experience - I will be returning for sure. read more

Highly recommended for large parties I work for an organization where catering is often required for a minimum of 50 people and in the last few weeks, we found it difficult to find places that can accommodate us. So I am beyond grateful to have worked with Nando's today. We had to order lunch for 50 people, pre-pay for the order and have it delivered. I called about 15 different places in Richmond and most of them were unable to deliver one or all of our requirements. Thanks to Nando's, today's lunch went well. Jack who took my order, and Emma who prepared our order today were extremely helpful and polite. They had everything in foil pans, provided us with the plates and cutlery required, additional sauces and some coupons for future visits. I'm sure we will be placing an order with these guys again coz they were so easy to deal with, no hassles, on-time delivery and of course, the quality of food was just excellent. I stopped into the Steveston Nando's after a doctors appointment in Ironwood. I always thought Nando's was an great place, but today I was treated with kindness by the staff, especially the manager/owner, Jack. I asked the worker at the counter how long it would take to get my food as I needed to call a cab. The owner, Jack, heard this, and saw I was walking with a cane. First time here, and it was really good. The guy at the desk helpful. I got the the double chicken skewers, one was the mango and the other one the lemon and a side Caesar salad. I like the lemon one better and ended up cutting up the chicken and putting it on my salad and it was really good. A little overpriced I would like three chicken skewers for what we paid. The sauces they had available to try was neat, so was the info book on the table about the peppers. I wanted an ice water, but couldn't find any plain water in the machine. Nando's-home of the periperi. This Portugese chain of restaurants exclusively serves chicken dishes, and is what I call an attempt at gourmet fast food. You order up front, take a number, and then find a seat and wait for them to come over and give you the food. Their menu consists of sandwiches, salads, salad meals and all kinds of chicken (breast, leg, thigh, wings...) Drinks are in the bottle or cans, and they are licensed so they also serve beer and wine. (Yes, wine!) Food takes a while to come though, sometimes over 15 minutes. All Nando's are decorated the same, with sunshine yellow walls, and maroon accents. It's casual, with a more restaurant feel. There's really no service here, you just do your own thing. Meals for one, or meals to share. Half a chicken, chicken breast, chicken kebab, wings. Meals to share can feed up to 5 adults, with 2 whoel chickens, 3 large sides, a portugeuse buns. I usually get the Peri plate, which consists of 1/4 chicken, kebab and 4 wings, with either a chicken breast, or a leg & thigh. Everything comes with your choice or 1 or 2 sides- Peri fries, spiced rice, classic fries, coleslaw, or baked potato. I always get the Peri fries, which have this seasoning on top that makes it soo good. They have five levels of hotness for you to choose from: lemon & herb, mild, medium, hot, extra hot. I usually get the lemon herb or the mild. (Yes, I'm a weaksauce for spicy foods.) There's also extra sauce packets that you can add to your food-for those that love sauces. I adore the garlic sauce! I've always had a good experience here, sometimes my wings would be a little burnt, but overall, the chicken is well marinated chicken, and consistently juicy and tasty. We arrived on a Thursday night for dinner after visiting WaterMania. Happened to notice it after visiting TD Bank ATM next door. As a first time visitor to thebchain, the lady patiently answered our questions and made recommendations based on our answers. We ordered a chicken pita and three skewer plates. When the food arrived, the fries were hot and crispy and my daughter wouldn't share any of her rice side. I enjoyed my chicken pita and Steam Whistle pilsner. This location is often dirty. Bottles of sauce on tables (ketchup, peri peri, etc) are sticky. Garbage overflowing. Manager/owner works in what appears to be his workout attire. It's hard to find a table not because they are busy but because they haven't cleaned half of them. Upon last visit the washroom toilet was plugged with paper towel. We expect the chicken to be always great with consistent taste. However, this one served something that is somewhat on the dry side. I give this specific location 2 stars out of 5. Service is quite poor and management is below marginal. 1). They claim they are out of Garlic Bread ...it was noon time ... I would have understood if it were night time. That is like having hotdog without ketchup. so they said we only have buns whether you like them or not. 2). Fork and knives are dirty though they are wrapped with napkins. 3). Chicken is much smaller unless they now serve free range chickens (???) Anyway, this branch/place needs to do strive better. read more

Not sure if it was the manager but he was working the register and taking orders. Mid 40's? Had no idea how to put in our entry and had to do it a few times as we had a $10 off coupon. Which he hat first forgot.. Such a rip off as well, as a large chocolate milk on our receipt cost $4.00 but was actually a small approx 200ml carton. Also, my daughter had a kids meal but they didn't have the desert ice cream. But never bothered to tell us that when we ordered it, till we asked for it at the end of her meal. But still charged us full price for hers.. Apparently we were comped a drink in instead, but would have been nice to know about the dessert before.. Service was ok, bought out the fries before the rest of the meal, but sent it back and said we wanted it with our entire meal... The staff in this location are very friendly, helpful, and efficient. Food is delicious especially the lemon herbed chicken, plus I really like their coleslaw; it's not too creamy and has just the right flavor. Delicious! Keith and I have never been disappointed with Nandos's! We both had Chicken skewers- mine was lemon herb Keith had medium hot Peri-Peri. The chicken was delightfully flavoured, spicy and extremely tender and juicy. Their peri peri chilies are harvested from 1400 Farmers across Southern Africa. ( It's marinated for 24 hours!!) We shared a garden salad with the Classic Dressing and also had a side of roasted vegetables. Keith partaked in the rice side( nicely done) while I had the potato wedges spiced with Peri-salt. All in all really good and well worth the price, which is very reasonable! Come down and see this location, recently renovated , including Artwork from South Africa. The only thing I didn't like was , while sitting in their booths, because they are attached to one another, every time someone moves around or gets up you feel like your back is being kicked. I came here with some friends. I think that Nando's is my new addiction. I always loved their chicken and sauce, however, it had been a long time between visits, therefore, was pleasantly reminded of how good their chicken is. I feel ashamed that I had forgotten in the first place. Unlike the other locations, this one is busy but the turn around is manageable. Great customer service and the chicken was served in a timely manner. They did sell out of peri peri sauce to go, however, there are other locations closer to my home in which I can grab a bottle. Hugely disappointed with regards to size of portions in your sides and chicken. We've always thought that Nando's was a little higher end in pricing but with taste it didn't matter as we always loved it! Now, as we got take out and what should have been enough chicken to serve 4 people at over $32, barely covers 2 hungry people. We decided to order the whole chicken and 2 large sides. I called the restaurant back and told them how disappointed we were and we're told it's a Corporate decision, they now do it by weight. The thing is when you go in, the portions seem more than adequate. Well, this Nando's supporter since 1995, will now only go if we get a deal or desperate. On my visits to this location, I have had about the same experience each time. The staff and the night manager are always pretty friendly. A nice smile at the point of ordering is standard. When we do eat in, its on a monday night and its not too busy. So, the food usually arrives at the table in a timely fashion. My only issue is the value of the side dishes. $3.50 for any side dish... the size of which is quite small. The rice and coleslaw is served in tiny bowl appropriate for a child. During our last visit we all decided to get extra rice with our dinners. When i ordered sides for 4, the cashier wanted about 15 bucks and i was happy to pay...but i was a bit surprised when he dropped off such tiny portions... I know that the prices are standard for all locations, but it still was still a bit off-putting. We will go back again, but i'll certainly be more cautious as to what i will add on to my order. read more

There were only 2 other groups in the restaurant and we waited 20-25 minutes for the food. I have never encountered such slow service at any other Nandos. Will NOT be going back to this location. We usually eat at Nandos Aykroyd road as it is near our home. Seeing that we were out in the Ironwood Plaza area we tried the Nandos and were amazed with the quality of food compared to the Aykroyd location. Specifically I'm referring to the amount of meat on the bone. We were served by a very friendly owner who seems to really care about his customers. Also the Caesar salad was amazing, and the garlic bread tops for both flavor and quantity. I ended up spending $15 less and having a lot more food on our plates compared to the other location. read more
