The inn is beautiful. We love staying at quaint old places and this one is preserved well but offers upgraded bathrooms. My husband and I travel every Dec to the Army Navy game n always like spending a few days after n taking in the local sights, but mostly the history. Given that this location is LITERALLY where the Revolutionary War began, it would have been nice to have a friendlier staff (unmasked) and been told some history of the city AND the home. Every B&B we've ever been to, (10 in the past few years alone) we've been greeted with questions as to where we are from, and been told about the facility, location, etc. I got more at a Hilton earlier in our trip. Embrace your customers. Being met by a masked worker is NOT welcoming. I felt she thought we were putting her out and toxic to her. This was our home for 2 days and we should not feel like that. The inn is beautiful, the food was good n fresh, the bedding was luxurious n comfy. But your customer service has something to be desired for those choosing a more personal n quaint experience. read more

We were very happy with our stay here. First, they upgraded our room to the apartment at the top of the house (Dickinson room, I think?). My kids got their own room, separate beds, and my husband and I got the large room with two double-beds and a sitting area. It also had a kitchen. Not a 'kitchenette' but an actual kitchen. I wish we could have stayed a week. The North Bridge memorial area is about a half-mile away...an easy walk. The Colonial Inn (see my other review) is two doors over, and great for dinner. The main square of town is about a quarter-mile in the other direction. We talked with Deborah, who was great - very friendly, gave us directions to the wedding we were going to, fixed us breakfast - generally was amazing! We would definitely come back here next time we're in New England. read more

Staying at the North Bridge Inn was a the perfect ending for our three weeks long travel along the the East Coast. It was a quiet, restful and clean. Waking up to the smell of hot coffee and whatever delicious breakfast they had prepared was great. Loved the staff, they were cordial and they even let us print our boarding passes from their own computer. The rooms were large and cozy and very clean. I highly recommend it. Actually, we are planning to come again with our extended family while visiting Concord. read more

Not really an upscale B&B. More of a family place where you can cook you own meals. For a family that's great and I highly recommend it for that. Drawback to the location is intersection of two busy roads. Lots of traffic and related noise, well into the night. If you need silence, best to find a place well outside of town. We stayed here for two nights while in Concord. Very quaint, quiet inn within walking distance to the absolutely charming downtown area of Concord. Each room in the Inn is completely unique in decor and arrangement, and is named after a prominent figure in American history (we were in the "Emily Dickinson suite"), which was fun for history buffs. Each morning the communal dining area offers a fresh breakfast buffet in addition to being served by the friendly staff of the Inn, who take individual orders for hot food such as eggs, pancakes, sausage, etc. This was a great space to talk with the other residents of the inn. These five stars are secretly four and a half, as in all honesty, the older woman who was present for the majority of our stay as the concierge, while accommodating and helpful, wasn't particularly as friendly as one would expect for an intimate Inn. However this certainly didn't take enough away from the quality of the Inn to merit four stars. Would absolutely recommend this hidden gem! read more

This place is so cute and a cozy stay. Rooms were huge with a whole living section and beds very comfy. Vibe was very quiet and relaxed. One lady checked us in and served homemade breakfast in a quaint flower decorated breakfast room. It's located right at the end of the small Main Street with shops and restaurants. We had a wonderful, restful weekend here. The suite was very pretty and the beds perfectly comfortable. Heidi, the manager makes one hot dish each morning to go with the muffins, pastries, fruit etc... One morning it was pancakes and she asked our 9-year old daughter if she would like some. She said no thank you as she really likes the ones that I make her on Sundays with chocolate chips...Heidi found some and made them for our daughter! So sweet! I have been staying at the Northbridge Inn for the last 3 years---every time I am in Concord, and it is by far the best place in the area. The rooms are spacious suites, with kitchenettes; the decor is tasteful colonial, beds are comfortable, and it is always clean. Heidi & staff are friendly and gracious, without being intrusive--always a risk with a B &B, in my opinion. I've tried other hotels in the area, including the famed Colonial Inn, but none compare to the Northbridge! It's my home away from home in Concord. Just an added note regarding another review on here. Concord may be a "bustling place" during the summer in the day time, but they roll up the sidewalks by 10pm, even on weekends. read more

My husband and I had been traveling throughout New England for 7 days. This was the last night before we headed to Boston for our flight home. The accomodations were great. In comparison to other inns we had stayed, this was one of the best. We were able to walk to great food, shopping, and experience the charm of Concord. We have stayed at the inn twice with our 2 boys for the Patriots day activities in the area. Both times have been a pleasure. Our 2nd stay, we were upgraded to a suite (which was sweet). We stayed on the top floor for 2 months. The views of Downtown Concord, MA were great. We were able to have our dogs and walked them around the historical center nightly or walk to dinner at our choice of restaurants. The accommodations are clean and beautifully decorated in period style, but with all new and modern amenities. The staff were beyond good to us. Large rooms, Kitchenettes, Great full breakfast, and Super location

The Hawthorne suite was perfect for we three travelers. The inn is centrally located, within easy walking distance to shopping and dining. Our suite was clean and crisp and very comfortable. The innkeeper was very helpful with ideas for an evening meal (Helen's) and local attractions. After a good night of sleep, breakfast was served. A good selection of cereals, I recommend the homemade granola, was offered. Fruits, muffins, and breads were served as well. We were treated to cooked to order eggs and good crisp bacon. Coffee, hot tea, milk and juice were available. The inn exceeded my expectations and I recommend it without reservation to anyone traveling to Concord, MA. read more

The North Bridge is a lovely New England Inn. Our room, the Emerson Suite was neatly appointed; crisp white bedding, cozy sitting area and more than ample lighting. Bathroom was large and offered all needed amenities, the desk allowed for a perfect work area, the internet worked perfectly and the TV was large and perfectly located for multiple viewing possibilities. Although we did use the kitchen, it was very efficient. A meal could be easily made there and little sitting area(counter and stools) was so cleverly incorporated into the limited space. Breakfast was sensational- offering coffee, juice, muffins, delicious fresh fruit, homemade granolas and breads and even eggs and bacon! read more

A gorgeous, quaint well-appointed Bed & Breakfast with a spacious car park to the rear. This is just so typical of how I expected this part of the USA to be. So clean and well decorated. Our room had a separate living room, kitchenette where we could brew tea and coffee and two large Queen size beds with more pillows than Queen Elizabeth I had on her four poster. Lovely bath and shower with bath salts included and the usual condiments. We had bacon and eggs for breakfast as well as fruit and cereals and some muffins and cake. There is a delightful Corgi dog who is so cute and fluffy and lets you stroke her tummy. What a delight after the stresses of driving out of Boston on the right. Windows can be opened for fresh air. Quite expensive but exquisite. One of the owners told me (good naturedly) how the Americans beat us Brits but then the Yanks speak our language so I don't mind too much! We spent an hour and a half circling Concord looking for highway 93 North on the map until we stopped at a police station and they told us we were looking at Concord New Hampshire and we were in Concord Massachusetts! We spent the night at the North Bridge Inn which is right in the center of Concord. The location can not be beat. We were very pleased with our spacious, clean room as well as the delicious breakfast offered the next morning. To our surprise, we were offered a breakfast of fresh cooked eggs to order, fresh fruit, yoguart, muffins, and some very good coffee! We needed five rooms for family and friends to attend our son's wedding in Concord. The Northbridge Inn was perfect for us and we would recommend for others with a similar need. We used all 5 rooms with 4 being on the same floor making it easy to mingle. The Longfellow and Dickinson suites had a seperate living room where we were able to entertain family and friends as we were hosts for the wedding. The rooms were clean and spacious. Having the kitchen are was great. All our friends and family that used the Inn were really pleased. The breakfast was great as well. Heidi and Debra were a pleasure to work with when making our arrangements and help for any quesitons we had and were very accomidating to our needs. The inn is a perfect place for exploring Concord, we were able to walk to many loacations including he North Bridge. We were able to walk to dining and shopping as well. What a fantastic experience. The location is ideal for easy access to Concord. My room was beautiful and so comfortable I almost didn't want to leave it. The service was just right, with Heidi and Deborah always there when I needed them but never hovering. The morning breakfasts were just the right way to start the day. My husband and I stayed here during our babymoon and we were pleased with our choice. The rooms are a little dated, and there aren't quite the amenities from other B&Bs we had stayed at (mainly, if are hungry and it's after 8:30 when the nearby restaurants close, then you are out of luck). We arrived in time for dinner, and went next door since it seems like one of the only choices without driving around. That dinner choice is for another review however. It seems as if Concord is a bit of a sleepy town, because we walked around after dinner and everything was closed. So then we went back to our room and was just kinda stuck without much to do or any snacks. Yes, there is a kitchen, but we were just staying for the night and didn't really plan to have to use it. So I would suggest some snacks be out so guests feel more at home. Even water would be nice. Other than that, the breakfast is great & the staff is very nice. read more
