At first this place was a bit underwhelming. Upon walking in, it seemed very plain. But what I did enjoy was there playing some nice light lobby jazz and I'm a big jazz fan. We sat in a booth and I noticed there was cushions with little back rest. I found that quite interesting although it would seem like the sushi is just from any other sushi place. They made it quite right without any question. I'm a big fan of salmon, skin hand rolls, and some places you have to ask for it to be extra crispy just the way I like it. But this place we didn't have to do that. It came out extra crispy. With the little amount that we ate, I thought we'd have to go to McDonald's afterwards, that wasn't the case I actually was quite full. I really ended up liking the atmosphere, the jazz, the service and the overall experience. Check this place out if you're in the area, you might like it!

I've ordered from Naomi Sushi multiple times before and never had issues, but this experience was honestly shocking. Today I waited about 1.5 hours for delivery, which I was willing to overlook. However, while eating my roll, I found a piece of plastic inside the food, along with another ingredient that clearly did not belong there. This is not just unpleasant -- it's a serious food safety concern. I called the restaurant and spent around 10 minutes on the phone trying to resolve the issue. Instead of taking responsibility, I was put on hold multiple times, told to "call back at 9 pm," and even asked to bring the food back myself!! Eventually, they just disconnected the call!!! I had to contact the delivery service (ChowNow), who thankfully handled the situation professionally and issued a refund for the affected item. Between the contamination and the way this was handled, this experience was extremely stressful and disappointing. I can't recommend this place after what happened!

Food was fantastic. Everything that was ordered was better than expected. The restaurant itself had a cozy feel. Was definitely worth the visit and will be returning.

It has been a while since I've been to Naomi's Sushi and after today's visit, I'm asking myself ... Why has it been so long?! Hubs and I wanted a quick, relaxing and filling lunch. We decided it's been a while since we visited Naomi's and I've been wanting edamame so it was perfect! Walking in we were greeted right away and seated. It wasn't very busy just after 12:20, but it picked up while we were eatings. They had a smaller lunch menu and that was fine with us, but we also had the option to order from the full menu too which was nice. I ordered edamame and it arrived hot and perfectly cooked! Well salted with just the right amount of bite to the beans - no mushy beans here! YUM! Hubs ordered the nigiri 8 and I went with the bulgogi bento box (the only beef option). My bento was filled with goodness! I choose fried rice and salad. The salad was crisp and refreshing with just the right amount of citrus ginger dressing. The fried rice was so good I couldn't stop eating it. The bulgogi was tasty, but I don't think I'd order it again. It was cooked with mixed vegetables which was all good, but I was just expecting the beef bulgogi and not a stir-fry dish. That was completely on me for not asking questions and I still devoured all of it. The California Maki is choose to come with my bento was phenomenal! It so so fresh and moist! Husband's Nigiri-8 was incredible! The freshness of the fish is beyond description! We couldn't believe how fresh the fish was and the quality was top notch! It was just the right amount of food for both of us and we left happy, full, and ready to return another day! Service was excellent and the server was so friendly. We will definitely be back for sure, probably next week! Took some pics, but they were after we started eating already so the pics are only partially of our whole meal.

Good, service, and ambiance were great and I would definitely revisit. I was most impressed with the seating and ambiance.

    Avocado And Sweet Potato Maki

Came to yet another of the many sushi places in Arlington Heights. It kind of looked a little crappy from the outside, a standalone building outside the Target plaza. Naomi is a lot better on the inside though. Mostly this is because of the food. The prices are kind of high, but the rolls are big and high quality. A sushi place like this closes between lunch and dinner. It's often the prices will increase over the ones at lunch, but it wasn't like that though so it makes it one of the better values to be honest. The place certainly looked not as good from the outside, but the inside was better than that. Good prices for the amount. It's about $7 for most rolls. Avocado Maki was filled with creamy and fresh avocado. The Sweet Potato was filled with soft chunks of potatoes. Good place to get really great quality of sushi and still not pay a crazy amount. It doesn't have alcohol, which is about the only really bad thing about it. There's a few rolls that are okay for vegans and vegetarians.

Delicious food, inviting ambiance, and great service! Adding Naomi to my favorite local sushi spots :)

Ordered sushi for pick up the other day and was blown away. We got the black thunder, rainbow dragon, fire roll, Godzilla and a spicy salmon hand roll. They sushi is pricey, but it is massive, so it is well worth the price. Probably the best sushi I've had in the Chicago suburbs. Looking forward to going back and dining in!

They unfortunately don't do reservations for a group as small as 2 people; but for a bigger group, call ahead. The inside had an elegant aesthetic with four rotary lines all connected to the back kitchen area. One is sat at a table with an ipad to view the menu, ingredients in each item, and lists out beverages you can order. The table comes with chopsticks and soy sauce but one can call the attendant for utensils, water, or your check. It's $3.69 for every plate grabbed from the rotary. Once you finish the plate, you discard it into the table slot. The ipad tracks your plate count and for every 10 finished, you get a gachapon toy from the machine above the central rotary track. If you like wasabi or ginger, no worries as these are constantly in rotation to grab. Our favorites of the evening were the vegetable rolls, crab rangoon, tempura sweet potato roll, and the different nigiri's (umami beef, spicy kani, seared scallop, etc). If you don't see a roll on the rotary you wanted, check the ipad as you may be able to order for no upcharge. The nice robot on the top track will bring your dish right out to the table! If you're looking for a fun way to try new sushi rolls or give kids an interactive sushi experience, this is the spot to go! Tip: They have a punch card for every $25 spent. Once you hit 10 punches, you can spin the wheel for a discount. Pro Tip: While we got there early to avoid a wait, the more crowded the restaurant got... the better the rotary selections we saw.

It's definitely larger space than other rotary sushi places so I appreciated that it had the space. We were seated quite quickly, and given a tablet for ordering if we had desired food other than what was rotating around. I appreciated that they put the pickled ginger and wasabi (individually packaged) on the conveyor, as I think other restaurants have it on the table (which to me is always sus...little kids). We always have a garden for yellow tail rolls bc we like the texture and green onions. We thought on the tablet that it didn't have any onions, so we didn't order that, but luckily it appeared on the conveyor. We noticed that ramen was a special on Wednesdays, so we ordered a few for our table. Thought it took too long to come out. They must have forgotten it, as the char SIU pieces looked over toasted under a broiler - we had the server take notice and they remade the pork pieces for us. The pork was delicious, and glad they were able to rework the food. Rotary sushi is always fun for my kids as they eye the possibilities and then enjoy the fun with the robot tray that delivered our meal. I'll keep Blackfish in mind next time I want to do rotary sushi. The daily specials are pretty decent on value.

I still enjoy the big pieces of fish and mix of cucumbers, avocado, seaweed with a sprinkle of sesame seeds. There was a time it included edamame but doesn't look like it is included anymore. My kids ordered the spider roll, dragon roll and beef udon that came with a california roll. The rolls were a good size and had a good ratio of rice to other ingredients. The pieces of sashimi are good sized with appropriate amount of rice in each piece. The salmon kama is a nice appetizer. It comes out scorching hot and crispy. It can be tricky to eat because of the bones, but worth the work! I really like the design of the booths with the authentic decor resembling Japanese architecture. I don't like that the tables are consistently sticky when we eat there and if we don't get a booth, the tables are wobbly. No matter where we sit, there is always a table with a wobbly leg. The service is always super welcoming and friendly. Our waiter may have been new and still in training because we waited 24 mins from when we asked for the check until it was brought to us. And even then, I had to ask the busboy to remind our server for the check because he kept walking in and out of the room taking other tables' orders and refilling water. Upon realizing the long waiting time, the server was apologetic and still very kind which I appreciated. As we were leaving all the other staff made a point to say thank yous and good byes.

Never having dined at Taste of Tokyo, I didn't know it was a kaiten-zushi -- conveyor belt sushi but with boats --restaurant, that was a nice surprise. It was pretty full around the sushi bar and we waited for about 10 minutes to get seated. I really enjoy the convenience of plucking off plates and eating what you want. They had a lot of variety, from sashimi to potstickers to special rolls to taiyaki. I did ask for Saba (mackerel), and they gave me three nigiri (they said one was on the house) -- it was fantastic. This seemed like a fave place among the locals who addressed the sushi chefs by name. I appreciated that there were many different offerings. One such was raw sashimi grade scallops -- I wasn't that adventurous. Nearer the end they had torched salmon which was so buttery and melt in the month. I would have had more but we were getting full. They tallied up our plates -- 13 of them -- and we paid the bill. Very enjoyable, a little out of our way although I'd be happy to come again. I really enjoyed the novelty of the sushi boats.

My family and I had been wanting to go to this location for a while and a recent weeknight presented a perfect opportunity to check out this establishment. Located in a small plaza in front of the Westin hotel, this Chicago Ramen is a nice little spot for grabbing a delicious bowl (or two) of ramen. Upon our arrival, we were seated promptly. Our friendly server provided the menus and shortly after was ready to take our order; however, we were not ready yet and took a bit longer to order. The menu was a condensed version of what I have seen at the Des Plaines location. There were six Ramen options, a handful of appetizers, extra toppings options, and beverage options. Also, there was a Ramen special menu and a Kids menu. A few minutes later, we placed our order of 1) Edamame, 1) Karage, 2) Shrimp Wonton Ramen, and 1) White Miso Ramen. The apps of Edamame and Karage came out soon and the ramen bowls followed shortly. The Karage were freshly cooked. The Karage were chunky, meaty and plump chicken nuggets. The meat was juicy and tender, and they were lightly battered. The flavor was decent and the texture was okay. I felt that a bit more frying would have helped it taste better. My Shrimp Wonton Ramen was the start dish for me. It was everything I wanted as far as the flavor of the broth and the texture of the noodles, shrimp, and wonton were concerned. The broth was hot and fresh. It had a nice savory flavor and I added some of the table side condiments for extra umami and spicy taste. The noodles were of the right texture where they had body and good slurp-a-bility factor without being soggy and sloppy. The White Miso Ramen was a nice creamy and rich broth that came loaded w/ cuts of pork that were tender. It was also delicious. I enjoyed my bowl of ramen a lot and managed to finish it instead of having leftovers. It hit the spot perfectly. We had a good experience and would go back. However, it has been our go-to place for ramen takeout for some time now, this review is focused on their takeout ramen. After about two years' time, we have narrowed our preferences to the Red Miso Ramen with Egg and the White Miso Ramen with Egg. Both ramen comes with a big piece of Cha-Shu (pork), bamboo shoot, and green onion. The Cha-Shu is very tender and flavorful, and the egg cooked just right. The ramen noodles are bouncy with the right texture. When it comes to broth, the White Miso Ramen is definitely a winner over the Red Miso. I found the broth of the Red Miso a little too thick and there is a taste that makes it less pleasant than the other. There is ground pork in the broth of the White Miso, which adds flavor and complexity to the texture. Portions used to be very big, and I used to have leftovers. However, recently portions have shrunk and I could finish the entire bowl of White Miso Ramen with Egg in one meal with no problems. It would not be enough to feed someone with a bigger appetite than me. They had made a couple of mistakes in our takeout orders a year ago. Since then, they have been accurate with the orders and timing has also improved. I am pleased to have Chicago Ramen in our neighbor town, and a bowl of tasty ramen is so close by. I just saw that they have added Shrimp Wonton Ramen (and two other items) to their menu recently. Next time I might give that a try.
