Sushi Plus Thai is a new addition to the food scene in Palatine. This small and intimate restaurant is big on flavor and excellent food. My husband and I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and the salmon poke bowl. The sweet and sour chicken was very crispy and had an amazing sauce. The salmon and vegetables were fresh. Everything was a hit at Sushi Plus Thai. It comes highly recommended.

Excellent newish restaurant. Plenty of parking. In a strip mall a few stores south of Palatine Ace Hardware. Cute and clean interior. Excellent sushi tacos, very unique. Peanut chicken was fabulous. Yellow tuna nigeri was very fresh. Mango Thai drink was so good. They have carry out as well. Service was fast and friendly.

Five Stars for sure. Sushi and the waitress(es) were super phenomenal. Very fresh and tasty ( the sushi, people come on !) Had the Burmuda Triangle, Geisha Maki, Mango Sunset, and the Tropical Breeze. The one thing is they need more staff. Granted it was Mothers Day and their Sunday special - but people were lined up to get their pickup orders Apologize for the quality of my photos. My mouth was quicker than my camera

Cozy with a modern flare of Thai and Japanese decors. Delicious authentic Thai food that delivers the spicy flavor. The papaya salad was spicy and drench in fish sauce that wasn't over powering. The pad see ew was packed with chicken and veggies. Noddles a wonderful chewy texture. I love panang curry and Sushi Plus Thai definitely hit the flavor with this dish. We ended with some mango sticky rice. Sweet, coconuty and yummy. Ripe mango that has enough tart and sweetness. Our server was friendly and professional. Definitely a new favorite spot in Palatine.

I was soo ready to give it five stars. The food and presentation overall deserves a 5 star. However, the wonton soup was wayyy too salty, we suspect that they mistakenly salted twice because none of the other dishes were that salty. Secondly, the service was a bit too slow. We sat down for 10+ minutes, five of us with only two sets of utensils. They did have a really full house and were very busy, but it still took like over 30 minutes to order when most of the tables already have their food. So now to the good parts, their papaya salad was one of the only ones that's not spicy and not too sweet. Everything about their papaya salad was perfectly done. The Guay Teow was good but flavor is not as deep as what we had from another chef. The Lad Nar noodles were done really well, sauce was good too, but it's a tad bit spicy even tho the menu doesn't indicate spicy. We asked for tofu but they gave us chicken instead, which is fine. The sauce was a bit too salty at the end but still very good. The California roll seaweed was a bit tough for my littlest. I liked that they had microgreens and a candied tangerine. The fillings for the potstickers and the wonton are pretty generic and flat, but of course neither is Thai or Japanese so it's fine. Their plating overall was really good. Ingredients very fresh and you can tell they put intention and care into making the foods. The price reflects that. We would definitely come back to try other items on their big menu, in particular interested in some of their other salads given how good the papaya one was. Also hoping the overly salty was just one off situation. I have high hopes for this place!

New place just opened this month and decided to check it out. We ordered the lunch special that includes an appetizer and entree (Pad Thai + Veggie Egg roll & Pad See Ew + Golden Bags), spicy tuna, spicy shishito peppers.

I specified my arrival time (which was not asap) and the food was being packed as I arrived. Perfect. But, of course, most importantly, how was the food? It was excellent. The nori was fresh and moist and wrapped the roles very well. I'll call out the handroll of hamachi. Several beautiful fresh slices of fish with rice in a nice hand roll. I recommend. Also had individual sushi pieces that were well assembled and tasty. I'm not looking for cheap sushi. But I was impressed by the relatively low prices.

They wouldn't allow it, which was surprising because other sushi restaurants I've visited have been much more accommodating--especially when the substitute item is equal or lower in cost. It definitely started the meal off on a frustrating note. I ended up ordering the Salmon Bento Box, and overall it was below average. The salmon didn't taste very fresh to me, and the grill marks looked more like they were added for appearance than from an actual grill. The whole dish just felt a bit off and not what I was hoping for. Between the lack of flexibility and the underwhelming food, this visit just didn't hit the mark. With so many other sushi places nearby that are more accommodating and offer better quality, I'm not sure I'd return.

Sat at the first table outside the restaurant, underneath the awning with a bird's nest overhead chirping the entire time. Essentially in my opinion, when you make a reservation somewhere, you don't really expect to be seated in probably the worst location they have to offer. Food was pretty decent.
