It's been several years that I had to park in an Underground Parking Garage. I was driving my own car towards the parking booth where this booth hospital employee was sitting inside this compact parking booth. I waited to receive my GREEN Validated Parking Pass from their Parking Lot Machine. Once one of their Green Validated Parking Pass dispense this ticket out to me. I accepted this parking pass then I had to wait for their gate to open up. I drove past through their parking lot gate , then I turned my front headlights on the Bright Level. Unfortunately, this Underground Parking Garage was too DARK for me to see ahead of me. There needs to be more brighter lighting in this Sharp Memorial Hospital Underground Parking Garage Structure. There are (4 Parking Garage Levels). I had to drive around 3 times before I found one open compact parking lot spot in the corner. When I was finished with my Emergency Room appointment one hour later. I got into my car and I started my car then I backed up very slowly, then I heard this Loud Crunching Sound coming from my (left rear taillight). I stopped my car then I got out of my car. I notice my (Rear Taillight) was broken). I looked to see if someone's back bumper on their car showed any damage. No there was Nothing at all. Then there was No Charge to me since I was a patient at Sharp Memorial Hospital. Then I had to drive back home on the freeway. I called an Auto Repair Shop in Lemon Grove, CA. Joe this Shop Owner quoted me for just buying the part it is $248.00. Joe said he would install just this part that I would have to order myself at this parts store on the Internet. Joe the Auto. Parts Owner said he will charge me an extra $100.00 for putting the part inside my back rear taillight. My total price would be $348.00. A very expensive price and repair that I cannot afford right now. Then I drove over to O'Reilly Auto Parts Store. I talked to their manager David. He said for me to buy the LENS LITE AUTO REPAIR TAPE in the RED COLOR to match the color of my car's (Milano Red) Paint. The Red Tape is an exact match. I was charged the $4.00 price for this Lens Lite Auto Repair Tape. I told the manager David that he saved me $348.00 . I cut with scissors this Red Lite Auto Repair Tape for the exact size of the area that had been broken out on the Rear Back Taillight. Then I applied this Red Tape over my broken Rear Taillight. This area is fully functional and covered completely. The light bulb is in perfect condition. I thanked David their manager for saving me a lot of money and time. I highly recommend this product. I also received great advice from David their O'Reilly Automotive Parts Manager.

Was please to get an appointment for the next morning, a Saturday. Was told it would be a drop-off appointment. So we took both cars so I can bring my spouse home. Upon getting there before our appointment time and checking in, they said they did not even have the battery in stock at their location. They offered that we can go to Lemon Grove's service center instead. We asked why the appointment setter couldn't have told us that before making the appointment. Their response was that that person was new. What would have also been fine is if they could have done the check first anyway since we didn't even know if the battery was the issue. But that wasn't offered. Just an inconvenience that I feel could have been avoided with better training and communication. Bummer to have wasted the time on our day off.

Multiple bad experiences here, so this is definitely not a one-off. I gave them the benefit of the…read moredoubt the first time, but they keep dropping the ball. First off, the customer service is terrible. The guys at the front desk are unprofessional and have terrible communication skills, which is not what you want when you're trusting a shop with thousands of dollars worth of work. And definitely not the kinds of guys I would seek their opinion on parts/builds. (Besides the guy who drives the old gen tundra, he's cool). Second, they don't stick to their schedule at all. You can drop your truck off for a 10 AM appointment and it won't even get on a lift until mid afternoon. Then hours later you get a call saying something came up, they need to order parts, they can't finish the job, or now it's going to cost more. This has happened to me multiple times, including a long travel kit install, mounting new wheels, and even just a basic rotation and rebalance. Third, the quality of work has been just as bad. I had them mount and balance brand new 37s on brand new wheels, and I kept finding wheel weights in my driveway. The first time, I brought it back and they said they'd fix it. Instead, they just slapped more weights on and sent me out. Same problem kept happening and I ended up with another handful of weights falling off over time. (and that's just the ones I found, who knows how much actually fell off elsewhere.) When I called again, they wanted me to pay for another rebalance. At that point I just agreed since I also needed a rotation and had a tire with a nail in it. I dropped it off at 10 expecting to get it back in a few hours. At 1 they call and say they can't patch the tire and asked if I want to continue. I told them no because I was going to need to buy another tire and have it installed. At that point all they had done was take that wheel off the truck. Then when I said I'd come pick it up, they told me it wouldn't be ready until 3 because the tech was at lunch. That pretty much sums it up. Poor communication, wasted time, and sloppy work. They're (relatively) cheap for a reason. If you're thinking about bringing your truck here, I'd honestly go somewhere else and save yourself the headache.

I own a 2002 Chevy blazer 4.3 liter engine my transmission went out and needed to get a…read morereplacement .I called tapatio and they said they would replace with a used transmission rebuilt with install for an agreed price . I come back to pick up my car and one of their workers tells me i have no gas left .Which I know I had gas in the tank , then realized my dashboard cover in my vehicle was missing . I left mad telling them by dashboards cover was missing I then go to fill up gas in my vehicle then I saw the fuel gauge didn't move . I went back and told the manager when you guys put up the new used transmission you guys pinched and cut the electrical lines that go from the fuel pump the the fuel gauge on the instrument cluster . I told them those electrical lines after research go up next alongside the transmission into the engine bay and that they caused the damage . That they need their car electrician to look at it . Then they told me the electrical lines don't route up that way and took no responsebility. I called again to tell them to do what's right and they ignored me from here on out .

Today, it was something very simple in changing out a headlight bulb for my daughter's car. I've done this before, it's pretty easy to swap out bulbs. The young girl behind the counter was very nice and pulled up specs quickly but it's always easier if you have the old part out. She didn't want to sell me the wrong part and had a staff member go outside and pull it for me. I came in she walked me to through the replacements, which is helpful. Best part ( wait for it) I purchased the part and she had her colleague put it back in for me. It's always the little things that impress me, especially when folks go out of their way to be nice. This is my go to auto parts store ( my favorite).
