The owner Mike was so informative and there was a variety of different types and sizes. My bf loves bonsai trees and said the prices were good (low) compared to the prices around the Bay Area, and he checks bonsai at every place they sell them. The prices were reasonable with a $25 bonsai making a really nice gift. The owner mentioned that the selection at the truck stop was just a taste of the hundreds of bonsai at the store in Napa. I look forward to one day visiting the nursery in Napa and taking the bonsai classes the owner offers.

Cassidy Ranch is a place where you get to pick flowers and strawberries on your own. It starts off with you receiving a souvenir jar for your flowers as well as cutters and a tray for strawberries. You then get a brief tour of the lovely farm and then they let you loose to pick and cut at your leisure. You'd think there'd be nothing left but there were plenty of strawberries and flowers to go around. The strawberries were so fresh and so delicious. Apparently they sometimes do wine tasting from their winery.. I'm bummed I missed out on that. Anyways check this place out if you are skeptical of a "u-pick" business because this one won't disappoint.

The roses and plants on the front side yard are visible through the gate; looking so gorgeous, lush and happy. Well I finally stopped and took a gander to fully see what they have to offer. I was blown away by the inventory in quantity and quality AND the outdoor display AND pricing. Pricing is fair and comparable to other like nurseries. The shop carries seeds, small gardening tools, gloves, houseplants, garden art, and gift items. I went to the back lot. The yard is huge, much bigger than I thought. Each area offered a particular variety of plants,shrubs, trees, or flowers. All healthy. The roses and flowers were blooming. Vegetable plants in stock. Plus the lot was thoughtfully designed with art sculptures, large growth trees, and shaded areas. Perfect backdrop for displaying the city century. Not only was it all beautiful and serene, very unique as well. Plus I gotta mention the huge kinetic art sculpture in the shape of a pair of wings. Super cool. Did I mention the prices were fair and competitive. Well they are. Worth mentioning again.

They told me to call them back two weeks before the date I needed flowers because they couldn't give me any pricing which I respect. Time came to call them and they basically told me they were too expensive for what I wanted- even tho I had been pretty specific when I last spoke with them. They quoted a price of $300 minimum and refused to acknowledge that I wanted pretty basic things- just the color scheme for a bouquet , mini bouquet and two boutonnières. It felt like the other florist in Napa very much didn't want my business! I'm so glad I decided to call St. Helena Florist because they came in at the price I asked for and delivered beautiful florals in the color scheme I wanted. I wasn't being picky, but they did a great job! They even opened the shop a couple minutes early to accommodate my schedule. Got the color scheme and definitely honored my wedding anniversary color scheme /vibe. I wish I lived in town. Thank you so much!

I chose the 5 gallon barbie bamboo. You can see my neighbor is ugly…read more The bamboo was a lot taller than I expected. Each plant has at least one cane that is already 12' tall! He was able to deliver the next day! He required a 25% deposit and then the rest is paid upon delivery of the goods. Payment options include cash, Zelle, personal check, wire, and credit card. There is a small 3.5% fee for credit card payments. His preference seems to be Zelle. He did ask if I wanted to purchase emitters ($8 each) and fertilizer. I declined. He warned me I'd be in the very small minority of people that didn't have irrigation fully set up first. He sends a Dropbox care sheet with watering and fertilizer instructions. The instructions even have photos to help you learn what a dehydrated bamboo looks like and a section on how much to water if you don't use his emitter. I asked how I'd manually water until I could get irrigation set up. He told me 20 minutes at a slow drip. So it's untrue he won't tell you how to care for it if you decline the upsell. He reminded me I'm welcome to call with any questions. Highly recommend Dr. Dan!
