Stopped by after our kayaking tour and were able to get seated quickly. We ordered the taro burger (which is a veggie patty) and the fish and chips. The food was good, basic fare. My husband also ordered one of their beers which he liked (but not as much as the Kauai brewing co). The waitress was nice, a little slow with refilling the waters.
Really cute place with great food! The hanging plants really make the interior soothing. The service was quick! But what really got us all excited was how juicy the Kalua pork sliders were; it ends up dribbling on the plate. The chipotle aioli really pairs well with the pork, and it was also delicious on the Brussels sprouts. Parking is shared with neighboring businesses; a little bit tight, but easy to find.
Easy to find with a big parking lot. Cute aesthetics with hanging plants and long wood tables. Went there twice while in Kauai. First time it was for dinner and then I got a burger. The burgers are huge and very tasty. Have a good array of beers. Second time was for the soccer game so it was clearly crowded. We ordered a few different appetizers... All of them hit the spot.
We went here for an early dinner. We loved the atmosphere & decor at the restaurant. Lots of plants & slab wood tables . The host & waitress was friendly. We ordered the fish & chips. This was so amazing the fish was all white meat - flakey & moist . It was Ono fish . It came with 2 big pieces & fries. My husband got the Huli Huli Chicken plate this was tender & good . It came with rice & glaze carrots . The prices were good for the portion size . I would definitely go back for the fish . They have Coke products
Napali Brewing is a must visit location when in Kauai! The food was perfect for the two of us, we had the Kalua pork and rice, the buffalo chicken wings and the beer cheese and pretzel bread. I had the cocktail special which was a POG based drink and it was by far the best drink I've ever had in my life. The staff were all friendly and had great recommendations on what to do on the island. We wish we could've eaten here more than once!
Overpriced. The cheviche and the poke was ridiculously small. No human being can eat so little. Beer was ok but nothing memorable. The pull pork and smoked meat dishes were ok in size and flavor. Too fancy and price for a brew pub where you sit at a common table. If you go with a hungry family you will spend easily 200 and still hungry
Great spot to enjoy a beautiful setting and really good food! In terms of atmosphere and presentation, this is easily one of the prettiest places we visited on Kauai. We ordered three burgers and one fish & chips. The burgers were cooked exactly how we asked, which I always appreciate. The fish & chips were just a little on the dry side, but still decent. The beer, though, was excellent. The only thing that bothered me a bit was that we were charged extra for sauces that came with the meal, and no one mentioned they were an additional charge. It wasn't a huge amount (about $3), but it's just nicer to be told upfront. Overall, we had a really nice time and would definitely recommend this place.
I really don't like being critical of places -- especially when you can tell people are genuinely trying. That's why this one was a bit of a tough call between four and five stars. We came in on a Monday around 6 PM. Service was excellent from the start -- attentive, friendly, and well-paced. You feel welcomed, not rushed. Big plus. The food was good. Everything was cooked properly, and the kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. The burgers were cooked exactly to the requested doneness, which I always respect. Fish and chips were solid as well -- crispy, well-balanced, no complaints there. That said, I'll be honest. I've eaten a lot of burgers in my life, and while this one was good, it wasn't one of the best I've had. Not bad by any means -- just not a standout for me personally. The menu overall felt a bit limited, and I found myself wishing there were more options to choose from. Atmosphere is where this place really shines. Live guitar music, a beautiful interior, relaxed island vibe -- it all works. We were a group of four, spent around $205 total, and considering the drinks, burgers, and overall experience, the pricing felt fair. So yes -- I'm leaving five stars. The service, atmosphere, and overall experience deserve it. At the same time, if I'm being completely honest, next time I might be curious to try a few other spots as well. Still, a very enjoyable evening, and definitely worth a visit.
Sign off the main road caught our eye while heading north for a tour, so circled back later for a late lunch. Maybe we caught them at a bad time, but the food and beer were mediocre at best. I enjoy trying local beers as close to the source as possible, so going to local brewpubs is something my wife and I try to do regularly. It was our third day in Kauai, so made this our lunch choice, and we were hungry after a long tour. There was plenty of parking in the dedicated lot, and it wasn't too busy when we stopped in after 1:30 on a Wednesday. We were greeted promptly and got to choose where we sat, in a picnic table with plenty of space. Chose two house draft beers: Honopu Hefeweizen ($9) which was not good...very weak and watery. But the Hanakoa Cream ale was worse ($9)...chose it because of a local cream ale from Wisconsin that I love. But it tasted more like a glass of lite pilsner, more like a Miller Lite than a cream ale. I had to finish both...should have just ordered one. The food came out a bit later. We wanted to share the local Style Smoke meat plate (sounded promising), which was a plate of pork shoulder ($16). Plenty of it, but it felt like leftover meat, reheated in a sugary sauce...looked and tasted like Tocino (which isn't my favorite), not like pulled pork/kalua pork. It came with a scoop of white rice. I got the spicy Poke ($19) which used good quality raw ahi tuna. It had lots of tasty, spicy mayo and was enjoyable. But the rice was not cooked well (it was mushy), and I had to ask myself: why has the rice been so mediocre for our first two days? (It got better as the trip went on). My wife got the Huli Huli Veg & Rice plate ($25)...not good. Just two pieces of chicken breast meat (coming from frozen) with a very light sauce (flavorless) and the carrots were big chunks, candied, which is not what we expected. Brought most of this back to our hotel (since we had a fridge), but neither one of us touched it for the rest of the trip. Pricing is inconsistent (the chicken plate should have been the cheapest item considering the ingredients and prep work). Payment was done through Toast, and there was a 3% service charge for using credit card.
We always look for a brewery wherever we go and this was not far from where we were staying. We were greeted and seated quickly. They have a good selection of beers and standard brewery food. We decided on a flight to try some of their beers to find a favorite for a pint. They also have cocktails and wine. They have a good selection of Pupus. We ordered the Kalua Pork Sliders and Brussel sprouts. Service was a little slow but there was only one person when we first got there. Unfortunately they were out of the Duck Wings which we wanted to try. The Brussel sprouts were quite greasy but the sliders were good. They have a lot of tables and some outside but it was raining at the time.

Visited Napali Brewing while on vacation in Kauai on the recommendation of a local tour guide, and it was a great call. Our party of five arrived and had no problem finding a spot in the large shared parking lot. We had just come from dinner at another place but still wanted to check out the brewery. We were greeted and seated quickly, and the atmosphere was exactly what we were hoping for. There was live music playing that added a fun energy to the night, and the performers were genuinely entertaining. Our server was kind and took care of us right away. Since we weren't hungry, we only ordered cold beers, which hit the spot, but the food menu looked great and definitely something I'd want to try on a return visit. We almost felt guilty for not ordering more because the vibe and hospitality were so good. Napali Brewing is one of those places you could hang out at for hours with friends.
Great spot that welcomes both tourists and locals. The staff is attentive and promptly seated us. The night we went had live music. The place has a friendly and lively ambiance. We started off with guava mules. It was not too sweet and strong enough. To eat, I tried the pulled pork sliders. Usually this is a heavy dish, but it was well balanced. Meat was very tender, simple, and tasty. For dessert, we ordered the ube cheesecake. It was pretty sweet and rich. Good to dish to try, but maybe not order again. I'd recommend stopping by when visiting!
Delicious poke! Some of the best I've had on the island! We also had some local smoked pork that was also delicious Enjoyed the beer and some local Hanalei rum mixed drinks! Service was friendly and quick! Very relaxed vibes inside with nice wooden tables and chairs/benches and cool hanging plants! I really like the atmosphere and the service at Napali Brewing Co. The restaurant is clean, had awesome vibes, and our waitress was really good at her job. Food-wise, the buffalo wings and pretzels with beer cheese were perfect for lunch. However, I cannot recommend the poke bowl at all. It didn't taste fresh and was drowning in sauce. Overall, a cool spot fantastic service, but be weary of what you order. read more

This place is great if you are looking for a beer and are hungry! I tried the Mac n cheese with bacon and smoked meat- it was amazing and well priced, 10/10! The beets were very good as well. They have a cocktail and a mocktail menu and lots of seating for big parties. They had live music going as well. Service was very nice but forgot about us once a rush came. The host was able to cash us out though. My husband got one of there shirts and says it's good quality! Will come back next time! read more

Good location near Coconut Marketplace and walkable from our hotel in Kapaa, Kauai. The beers were decent. Cool environment. There is supposed to be live music at 6pm daily, but I think they were running a little late. We ordered fish and chips, cocktails and beer. Service was great. Liked the fish and chips, but can't compare to UK. Cool place to hang out in Kapaa. Will come again. They have very generous hours for Kauai. read more
Stopped by because other reviews said there was Happy Hour from 2-6 $2off draft beer. BUT NO HAPPY HOUR! It was disappointing . So we only had one beer. Beer was okay. Would of been better if it was really cold. Cute place though. The server was nice and place was very clean. We didn't try the food, maybe next time. read more

Food and service was great! I tried the Lanikai Sletzer and it was very smooth and not overly sweet. We also tried the Burger sliders, I think the burger needed to be seasoned a little more other than that it was very delicious. Fish and chips were delicious and perfectly cooked, spring rolls were freshly made and nicely crispy, the smoked meat which is made locally. Overall we enjoyed our meal and will definitely return and recommend this business to our family & friends! read more

Decided to stop here for a quick lunch on Mother's Day. It was our last day on the island. It was the BEST lunch meal we had during our 5 nights on the island. Service was great! We sat at the bar. I had a cocktail and my hubs ordered the Local Boy Lager and then went for the Black Pot lager. Both beers were outstanding. Pulled pork burgers were absolutely the tastiest we've had in Kauai, and the fish and chips did not disappoint at all. Fries were scrumptious too. Spacious, welcoming, and hip vibe! read more
Nice service. My wife ordered a likeua hard seltzer. Very good. The hazy ipa....much to be desired. Wasn't expecting great compared to the mainland, but should have been better. Food looks good, so we might return since it's close to our hub. Just stay away from the IPA...lol. read more

Napali Brewing was the perfect spot to stop for a post-beach beer on our way back to our resort. We wanted a place to watch the NFL draft, and our bartender took the time to find the right channel for us, and was incredibly kind in doing so. The Helle on Helles brew was cold and crisp. Perfect after a long day in the sun. We hung out here for around two hours, and it never got too busy. This is a great place to check out! read more

The one brew I chose to check out during last summer trip to Kauai due to seeing Helles lager on the menu. Open seating and a beautiful bar in an airy high ceiling space made for the perfect spot to chill. The live music added to the leisure atmosphere. But the best part was a local customer who came into pick up his food, ended up taking up the mic to sing with the band playing over the rainbow, tossing in happy father's day in between the song. What a talent! The bartender Hillary was the best you could ask for, so cheery, so happy, and so attentive. She was enjoying her work and making customers feel so joyful in the process. The overall experience was that of warm Ohana, authentic place for locals and tourists alike, no pretense, so real! This place isn't just a brewery, it is it's own happy Hawaiian experience, so grab a beer or few and give it at least an hour or two to absorb the warmth and joy of the island! I believe live music is supposed to be 6~8pm, music stopped at 8:15pm that day. Beer wise, - The Helles was bright and refreshing perfect for Kauai, but maybe not as sweet as I was wanting. More for hot day time drink. - The Local boy lager had a little more layers and was better. *** But the MUST HAVE here ended up being Black Pot Lager! I'm not a stout type fan which I thought this may be, but this Black Pot Lager was just AWESOME... Not overly chocolate nor coffee, it wasn't heavy, just perfectly drinkable and delicious! It was so good I had to get a 2nd one on this after being full already. BLACK POT LAGER is the one! They could seriously bottle this to sell across Hawaii and into Mainland, it was great. read more
Napali Brewing has the best fish and chips plate! Huge, very generous pieces of fish with super light breading centered the plate and the coleslaw added a nice zing. Pleasantly surprised how tasty. Shoestring fries completed the entree. I was in heaven with just the food. Live music made it better. Only thing missing was the beach :) read more
Friendly bartenders, great friendly servers, great variety of beer on tap! We came for dinner one night and had to come back again for lunch! Hubs had the beer flight, I had the Wai lo lo IPA, complex great aftertaste, delicious! Taro burger was delicious with grilled caramelized onions and fresh vegs, hubs lived his kalua pig sliders, moist and smoky. Came back 3 days later for lunch, I got the Huli chicken, large portions sauce good, misses a smoky flavor, hubs got the cheeseburger and our friend got the smoke meat plate - he loved. Local boy beer was tasty, all IPA's were delicious too. Open bar and great local live music Friday night, plenty of locals came to listen. read more

Stopped in for a couple of beers on a Saturday afternoon. Didn't try the food. I had a Hamajang New England IPA and a Wailolo American IPA. Both were excellent. They have a modern but beautiful, welcoming interior. Our bartender, Hilary, was so very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Napali Brewing! read more
