I have had three horrible experiences. One was a no show with no call or explanation. One was a unprofessional driver who picked me up smoking, refused to roll up windows (on freeway), used the on ramp to pass cars, and was very open about his lack of sleep and his personal problems with his baby momma. The last and final straw, came when a friend received threatening text messages from a driver because we used another company when he didn't show. Overall very bad customer service, dirty cars that need repair (working speedometers are always a nice touch) and beyond scary drivers who may or may not actually come to get you. read more

They advertise reliability of service, so I made a reservation from Naperville to O'Hare. No show! Being from out of town, I had their phone number, so I called and the dispatcher insisted there was no reservation (I was holding a printed confirmation in my hand while on the phone). So I asked him to simply send a taxi ASAP, but the dispatcher said none were available. I pleated with him to find me a solution, to call another company for me to get me to the airport. He said it would take 15-20 minutes. It was already 15 minutes past my pick-up time. Luckily my friend was able to get me a Lyft ride. If a company prides itself on reliability, there is no excuse for this. read more

My wife took an international flight yesterday. I called Naperville Taxi a week in advance to schedule the ride to O'Hare. Considering the trip to the airport would be during rush house I took into account the time needed to deal with rush house to the airport. I requested a 6pm pick up. After 6 I called to determine the status, and the dispatcher told me that the driver was "a few minutes away", At 6:15 I called back and asked why the cab still wasn't here to pick up my wife. The dispatcher ARGUED with me and told me it "wasn't a big deal" that they were late. He then told me that I should have scheduled the pick up for 5:45pm (6pm was also the soonest we could arrange pick up due to work schedules). Essentially he told me that if I wanted the cab to pick up my wife at 6 I should have taken into consideration their inability to arrive on time. Bear in mind I scheduled this ride one week in advance. I couldn't believe it when the dispatcher argued with me and told me that I should have scheduled them to pick up at 5:45 if I needed her picked up at 6. The worst part was that from the cab my wife texted me and told me that the cab driver had threatened that he would take her home or not take her to the airport. He had heard about us being upset about him being late and he took it out on my wife. She feel scared and I was genuinely worried that he would drop her off on the side of the road or throw her bags. She didn't feel safe with the cab driver. Never again. I should have used an UBER. DO NOT USE THIS CAB COMPANY. read more

I reserved via online reservation for a NYE transport from my home, to hotel, return back to home. All reservations were confirmed via email. The pick up from my house to the hotel went fine, the guy who was driving us was nice, entertaining and was safe. He assured that someone would be there to pick us up at our requested time if we received the confirmation email. About 15 minutes after our pick up time had passed, we contacted the company who said they "cancelled our reservation" due to high volumes! After speaking with an employee, who hung up on us several times, I received an email at 1:24 am cancelling our reservation (pick up time was 1:00am). Made a reservation for pickup at 5:30AM on a weekday to go to Ohare. Taxi didnt show. I called and was told they had no reservation for me. Went online and scheduled a early morning pickup to OHare- was 11 hours before the pickup so was worried that they would get it. Once I received the normal email confirmation I sent an email to make sure that I would be picked up. Got a nice response indicating that yes the taxi would be there. Come early the next morning. No taxi. After a decent wait, called and they couldn't find my reservation ! The dispatch said that three drivers hadn't show up for work that morning. He would try and get someone over in best case 15 minutes (30 minutes past scheduled). I could see that stretching out to a much worse case. Decided to drive to the airport. read more

The Drivers at Naperville Taxi can't be to blame in most cases, Management charges them $650 a week to drive the beaters the company provides for them. Naperville Taxi expects the drivers to jump through hoops to satisfy the owner. High demands create drivers to work long hours, most of there money go towards there lease! read more

The driver yelled at us for having too many bags for over 15 minutes (2 pieces of luggage and 2 carry-ons for 2 people). Driver was on time in the morning, and quickly delivered us to our destination (light traffic Sunday am). Charged the price quoted the night before. No stress, no worries, extra time for breakfast. I have been using this service for the past few months and today was the last straw. First, I had a driver who texted the entire drive to my home, swerving across the lane lines. Second time, the driver was taking me to the airport and he was pulled over for expired plates (so much for being on time) . This time, I waited at the airport for my prearranged cab ride and no one was there to meet me. The diapatcher asked me to "refresh his memory" and then had a driver pick me up. After a 30 minute wait the guy picks me up with another fare in the car and said we'd have to share the 40-min ride to the burbs. Not cool! As a consolation to make me feel better, they offered to drop me off first. Nice thought, but the other fare was male -- as a single female traveler, I don't appreciate driving complete strangers directly to my home, especially late at night. Worst customer service! I've been waiting at the airport for a pick up for the past 45 mins and the driver who called half an hour earlier to tell me he would be here "in a few minutes" now calls me to say he'll be here in the next 20 mins. When I called to complain, the guy who answered the phone was rude and couldn't care less. I'm a weekly traveller but will never use this sorry excuse for a company. I hope they go down under soon... This cab service is very hit or miss. Most of the time I get picked up in a very old mini van but once in a while you get picked up in a car that is not 15+ years old. Today is the very last time that I will use this company as I was picked up by a mini van with a spare tire. Now, spare ties aren't supposed to be used on the highway. When I pointed this out, I was told, that's just for safety (yeah, my safety) and that I would be okay. Never again. Too bad for their drivers that actually represent the company decently. Pay five bucks more and get a real driver service or just use Uber. These guys (most of them) are terrible. read more

I used them 3 times over the course of 7 days very recently. Here are the facts, make your own choice: 1) Monday: Home pickup to Midway - driver on time, no issues. 2) Wednesday: Midway pickup at 11pm - I called Naperville Taxi at 11:10 because the taxi had not arrived--he said it would be "3 or 4 minutes". 10 minutes later I called again, he said the driver was "caught in traffic" (at 11 at night)- She showed up 30 minutes after the requested time 3) Sunday: Made a reservation online 2 days in advance for a 3:50am pickup to Midway to make a 5:30 flight. Requested a minivan for 5 people. Received an email confirmation back for the time and the minivan. I called around 3:30am to make sure the taxi was on time, given the experience from #2. Was told "yep, will be there". At 3:55 I called and asked where was the taxi, was told there was "confusion" and it would be 10-15 minutes late. When I said we would miss our flight and asked if there was another minivan that could hurry over, was told "you wanted a minivan--I don't have a minivan". The guy on the phone claimed there was no email reservation, was a total jerk, didn't apologize or anything. No email or phone call back apologizing. We hopped in our car and hurried to Midway and parked there. 4) To top it off, when we returned back from our trip (to our parked car we had to use because Naperville Taxi never showed up), Naperville Taxi had the gall to repeatedly call me and tell me I had a taxi waiting, and that we had made an online reservation for pickup and needed to honor it! I booked my first and hopefully last ride with this company for this past weekend. I wanted to book a round trip for six to downtown Chicago on Sunday to a theatre in the Loop. I knew the end time of the play so therefore the round trip booking plan and also because this firm had a round=trip to downtown Chicago coupon. We were going to have 4 of our grand children on this trip, one of whom was on crutches. We don't have a car that holds 6 people therefore for the first time booked a cab to take us to the theatre. I also thought since we would be dropped off and picked up right in front of the theatre we would have no issue with the person on crutches. My first negative concern regarding this taxi firm was the person who answered the phone for my reservation. Her greeting was only "cab" growled out in a very unfriendly voice...with lots of background noise also. She told me I could not book the return trip ahead of time and had to call for that 1 hour prior to our needing it (not enough time even in good weather). I was concerned and even asked why they offered a coupon for a round trip to Chicago loop and back if we couldn't book the round trip at this time. I also said since we were attending a play I wouldn't have access to calling just an hour ahead. She said to call at intermission. The actual ride to the theatre went well. Sunday it starting snowing but our driver was a little early and very nice. He got us to the theatre on time and when I mentioned to him my bad feeling about not having a return reservation yet, he said he would make sure they know we needed one so that someone would be here when the show got out but that I also need to call and make the actual return reservation. Trying to call from the theatre lobby at intermission will hundreds of voices in the background was a problem in itself. My phone kept loosing reception and I had to call 4 times to get the call completed. When I did call at 3:30 (intermission time) and said we needed our pickup at 4:45 (play end) I was told it would be impossible to get someone there by then (so I'm presuming my first driver did not get the ball rolling as he said, but I might be wrong with this). I was told the ride would be there by 5:30. It was snowing heavier by now but our ride did not arrive until 7:45...3 hours after the play ended!!! Because our driver was texting and giving status when he would arrive (which kept being added on to) we, the last people in the packed theatre had to stand in the cold outer lobby since we didn't have enough time from the status given to go anywhere else). After one of the changes in status which again told us of his delay we did move the kids to the tea shop next door so they could get warm and have a snack since now it was way past their dinner time and especially to get a seat for the child on crutches. I have no complaint again about the driver, he was doing the best he could I presume, but do have a major complaint with this firm and will never book it again...from its rude, unprofessional phone contacts, to its ridiculous policy of not booking the return trip ahead of time. This is the first ever review I've written on a service firm but I feel this is my only recourse to this weekend fiasco and wanted to warn others of this firm. read more

Although the driver was pleasant, the taxi van reeked with the smell of cigarettes and was horrible to breathe in. The seats were dirty as was the floor. One of the reverse lights was out and the passenger sliding door was dented and rusted. I do not recommend using this company. read more

The driver was clueless and at one point i literally had to ask him to stop driving in the opposite direction of the airport we were heading to. I am a weekly traveler. I driving thru Naperville on weekend day and one of their taxis pulled beside me. My wife recorded the number and I decided to give them a try. My evening pickups from the airport are usually 20-30 mins late. The drivers are quite nice. The dispatcher seemed to be a bit short when I called and politely provided customer feedback. Limo costs me 10 bucks more but they are on time. I'm going back to the limo. As I type this review. I'm at the airport waiting on my pickup which is currently 21 minutes late. Frustrated. read more

I use them often to get to the airports, and I think they're great. They've never been late and always call well before they arrive. Another awesome facet of their business is that you can call with little to no notice and still get picked up on time. I'll check back and update if my opinion changes. Never Again with These Blockheads. I have used them several times and the service varies from good to bad. Recently I had had to deal with drivers that openly are sexist, crude, politically extreme, and anti-Naperville residents. Late last night they failed to pick me up at the airport after 3 confirmations. We called them 5 days ago, reconfirmed yesterday morning ,and called again while we waited for baggage. Each time the dispatcher confirmed he had it, and we were fine. No one ever showed up!!! Finally after repeated calls he blamed the driver. Then, the driver calls from Naperville and says the dispatcher never gave him the trip and could we wait for him to drive from Napeville to O'Hare to pick us up after we already had our bags for 30 minutes. We had to get a Chicago based taxi and pay the extra $40 as it was approaching 930pm. The owners, Sean and Paul, used to keep an eye on the service quality of the drivers and dispatch but obviously the inmates are running the asylum. Shame on me for thinking it could get better, when it continued to deteriorate and rotted. read more

Today was my first experience with Naperville Taxi and I have no complaints. The driver called me 30 mins prior to my pick up 3am; and he also said that he would call me when he was outside and he did. This is what I'm talking about when it comes to service! I take early flights out and it's nice to know that there is a reliable cab company that has courteous and professional drivers around that you can count on, unlike some companies (American) that you have to hound to come and get you. I don't like to beg people to take my money therefore; I'm sticking with Naperville Taxi for all my commutes back and forth to the airport along with local transports. read more

I travel frequently...almost every week. Being a former American Taxi customer (for about a month and half) I am SO HAPPY that I switched to Naperville Taxi. I was requested to write a review of this company from the dispatcher...but I wanted to wait to see if they are really that consistent in service. Guess what? They are!! I've been a customer since the beginning part of this year and exclusively request Naperville Taxi for rides to/from the O'Hare/Midway airports and even local rides in the area of Lisle. The dispatchers are courteous and, more importantly, are honest in wait times (unlike American Taxi which every 15 minutes, they tell you that it'll be another 15 minutes, repeatedly). The drivers are always friendly, on-time, and they almost always call/text 15-20 minutes in advance to let you know that they are on their way! Unless they change their business practices, I plan on doing business with Naperville Taxi for a long time! Update: About a year ago, they changed dispatchers (not Ryan or Sean) and their service went down. They started putting people on hold and cars never showed up, or showed up late. Terrible experiences with Naperville Taxi with three of four trips over Labor Day week-end. First vehicle had no AC. Second vehicle took my daughter to the wrong hotel, said credit card machine wasn't working and asked her to pay cash. She later checked and her card was also charged. I scheduled a reservation Midway Airport for a pick up at my home. I made the reservation for 5:45 in the morning. I got to the airport and when it was time to pay I was told there was a wait fee because I was over 10 minutes late. Driver said my reservation was for 5:35 am. Airport parking security wanted us to move on because it was spring break and there were lots of cars. I paid the $13 extra to get out. When I called a few days later to complain I was told my reservation was for actually for 5:25 am and the dispatcher asked why I waited to call about the problem. I was on vacation with a packed schedule. Didn't know there is a time limit to call about an issue! Man on phone was very rude. I choose to cancel my return trip with them. Customer service isn't worthy of even 1 star. read more
