2.5+ hours long wait for preorder pick-ups.

Let me start by saying I've been a patron of this establishment for years. The taste of the food is usually consistent with a couple of hiccups here and there. With that being said, two weeks ago I placed an order for 3 dozen creampuffs and scheduled a pick-up for 1:30p on Saturday (4/4). I arrived at 12:50p as I was in the area after traveling from Philly. Upon my arrival there was a line out the door and wrapped around the porch in 80 degree weather. Initially I bypassed the line thinking they must of been walk-in orders given that in the previous times I've placed orders they were always prepared with a slip stuck in the box(es) and you're in/out under 10-15mins. When I learned that everyone in line were customers that had placed orders, and were waiting to pick up, I took my place in line. During my 2.5+ hour wait myself (along with other customers) learned the following: 1. Napoleon's kept taking orders up until close the previous day (Fri. 4/3). That was shocking given that they usually stop taking orders days ahead of time. 2. They were giving some customers 50% off who were waiting since 11:30a but then giving other customers 10% off, and some were charged full price. At one point, a worker stood at the register and literally said "I'm just spit balling numbers here." 3. The staff at Napoleon's justified the hours long wait time because two staff members "called out." Here's my issue hence the low rating: While I am sympathetic to being short staffed, as a previous restaurant co-owner, being short staffed was not the problem today. The problem was disorganization and poor management. In my 2.5+ hour long wait I saw a staff member run in & out of the building several times taking people's names and original pick up time over and over again. How many times do you need to capture the same information? It was a waste of time. Secondly, nothing was prepped. Napoleon's took orders up until Friday yet they were in the process of baking cream puff shells, and making the filling the whole time I waited. None of it was prepped the night before or even the morning of. Thirdly, what they decided to charge the folks I waited with had no rhyme or reason. They gave one guy 50% off, another 10%, and then charged another full price. Either do it for all who waited, or don't do it at all. It's a slap in the face to people who spent valuable time in 80 degree weather to try and support your disorganized establishment. At 4:00p when my order was finally ALMOST ready, and I was told to pay full price, I raised this observation to the staff. I informed them my time, along with others, is valuable and the discount should be across the board. I was told "Ok, you can leave." I did exactly that. While the cream puffs are decent, they do not justify how the operation was mishandled and then the shitty customer service on top of it. It's simply the principle of it. I will never go back, and I encourage future patrons to not give it your time of day. You're simply a $ to the money hungry owner, and they do not care about customer satisfaction. You've been warned.

I saw this place on tiktok and was amazed because I am a cream puff lover! I decided to try it today since I'd be in the area. The location can be easy to miss, so look for the dark green sign out front as you approach. There's plenty of parking in the front. The store is located in an older building with a large patio space. There's plenty of seating to chill and enjoy on a nice day. There's also a cafe next door, but it didn't seem open when I passed by. When you enter, the store has a cozy feeling, decorated with memories and cutie knick knacks. I was greeted by the young ladies working there and they were happy to answer my questions even though I could've gathered the information from the boards. I got a full box of 16 for $19.50 and lucky for me, they took card. I thought they would be premade, but as I was waiting for my order, I saw them pipe the cream puffs in front of me! As for the cream puffs themselves, they are heartily stuffed, albeit a bit messy. I got the vanilla, pistachio, and banana flavors. The filling is similar to like a pudding filling and the flavors taste artificial. The pistachio flavor is like that of a classic pistachio ice cream flavor, similar to almond and cherry flavoring. The banana was like a laffy taffy kind of banana flavor. They're still tasty, but I prefer a pastry cream filling for cream puffs and more natural flavors.

Due to their limited hours of operation it took me a while to try their desserts but they were worth the wait! I had to try all of the flavors of course and cookie bars. My favorite flavors were pistachio and lemon but the vanilla and chocolate were great as well. Banana was my least favorite, it tasted a bit artificial to me. The cream in all of them tasted fresh and light which was dangerous and made it easy to over eat! The staff were very sweet, I would definitely come back. I have yet to try the cookie bars but I have a good feeling about them too!

So disappointed! Got up early because they advertised 8am open on 12/23/24 They were not opened at 8 am, but let me in anyway and did apologize for the error. However, buyer beware one dozen crème puffs don't fill the box anymore. They appear to be almost half their size for an increase to $15 per dozen, and the filling is different

Definitely come in here and bring home a box of these delicious treats. This place is definitely a piece of heaven! I ordered a mixed box of freshly made chocolate, vanilla & pistachio cremepuffs. Omg. They were all my favorites. No way could you have just one. All diets on hold when you enter this charming place. The woman who helped me knew it was my first time coming and she was so hospitable and gave me a sample while I was deciding. I had to have all the flavors at that point. This cremepuffery is a place to NOT pass by. Excellent treats here folks.

An absolutely must try! I brought home an assortment for my family and I tried the pistachio one first. I'm fighting the urge not to eat the whole box. So good and such a beautiful, inspiring, and interesting story of how this old farmhouse was bought by a hardworking woman with amazing talents to create an icon in the area with the nicest staff. I'm definitely bringing these treats to my stops around the holidays.

Check the diet at the door. There is no and I mean no showing restraint with these delicious puffs. Soft and chewy shell is perfect for the thick filling. Pistachio and strawberry are my favorite but in all honesty you can't go wrong with any of the flavors. Always order the full box of 16. We did get the shortbread cookie bars too. They were good but the cream puffs are the star of this show. Just a side note, my husband and I ate 4 before we even left the parking lot.

Goes great with the coffee next door. What a nice symbiotic relationship they have with Driftaway Cafe. Always say yes to the powder sugar option.

Stopped by here on my way home from volunteering at AWA in Voorhees. Cute little shop with 3 main cream puff flavors (chocolate, vanilla, pistacchio) and one seasonal rotating flavor. Ordered one of each and the seasonal which was banana. They are filled right there when you order, filling is fresh and thick and the puffs are soft and chewy. Would definitely order again for myself or get a bunch for a party.

Wow, I love this place- the creampuffs are amazing! Verify their hours before you go because they've been wrong online, and you can also call in your order ahead of time which I did. I got a dozen (they give you a baker's dozen automatically!) and they did NOT last long. Everyone looooved them. I got a mix of their 3 permanent flavors- vanilla, chocolate, and pistachio and 1 of the rotating flavor which was banana. It's hard to say which of the permanent flavors was my fav but the pistachio had an almond extract taste to it which I love so that may be it. The banana was good but it just has an overwhelming artificial flavor to it, I wouldn't be able to eat more than 1 at a time. I def look forward to trying other rotating flavors when they have them! They also have some bars and other items available, they were baking carrot cake when I was there. I live in North Jersey but I'm happy I have family in this area so I have an excuse to come back because I can't wait to get these again!

It left such a negative impression that I chose to take my business elsewhere. Recently, however, I needed to pick up a cake for a friend, so I decided to give Sweet Eats another chance. I'm so glad I did, and it's all because of Alicia. From the moment I walked in, Alicia was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and professional. She took the time to answer all of my questions and was extremely knowledgeable about the bakery's cake options. Her enthusiasm, patience, and genuine desire to help made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. Alicia completely changed my perception of the bakery. Customer service like hers is rare these days, and she deserves recognition for the outstanding job she does. She made me feel valued as a customer and reminded me how much a positive interaction can matter. Thanks to Alicia, Sweet Eats Bakery has earned my business back. She is a true asset to the bakery, and I hope management realizes how fortunate they are to have someone so dedicated, personable, and exceptional representing their business.

I was quoted $51 for a 10-inch yellow cake, and for that price I expected at least some level of customization and customer service. I wanted a 3-layer yellow cake with real fruit and two different filling flavors between the layers. However, I was told that Sweet Eats Bakery only makes cakes in bulk and that customers must choose from a pre-set list of cake and filling combinations. I was informed that each cake contains two layers of the same filling and that selecting different fillings for each layer was not an option. Wanting to see if an exception could be made for what seemed like a simple request, I spoke with the manager, Bridgett. Unfortunately, she also refused to accommodate the request and reiterated that I had to choose from the existing options. When I asked whether they would rather lose a customer than honor a simple request that would not create any hardship for the bakery, she responded that they would rather lose a customer. At that point, they lost me as a customer. For a bakery charging premium prices, I expected more flexibility, better customer service, and a willingness to work with customers on reasonable requests. Instead, I was told to take it or leave it. I chose to leave it, and I will not be returning. If you're looking for a custom cake tailored to your preferences, this may not be the place for you. I highly recommend Sweet T's Bakeshop in Haddonfield, NJ, they are better anyways!

Not as dense and heavy as traditional banana pudding, which I appreciate. It came in a decently sized cup. (will upload photo when available) Strawberry Shortcake Cookie: Incredible! Tons of fresh bread smells fill the air, and carts are loaded with different baked goods throughout the space. However, the conveyor belt that hangs above does drop constant bread flakes, and the floor becomes very slippery, which is a legitimate safety concern. I ordered three large subs online the day before to be prepped for a birthday party we were headed to in Atlantic City the following day. Unfortunately, the staff didn't realize this on their end, and the pickup got extended to 15-20 minutes later with extra help from the back. I think with the rushed work needed, the sandwiches suffered from this. There wasn't much meat and cheese at the end of the sandwiches, and the flavors were just okay, nothing special. The donuts ended up being a little hard with a sort of wet feeling to them. The regular cheesecake slice tasted more like cottage cheese and not much like normal cheesecake, which was disappointing. For a bakery with such a long-standing reputation in the community, I expected better quality control, especially for a pre-ordered party order.
