Most importantly, I and four members of my family all got severe food poisoning after sharing an appetizer at Napoli's. I was sick for more than three days. It may have been the shrimp, or it may have been the undercooked stuffed mushrooms. Also, I never received my entrée, and the waitress didn't notice until it was too late to make everyone wait for it to be cooked. My niece had hair in her food and had to send it back. We received no offer of any discount even though the manager knew that both of these things happened. And last but not least, the food was very bland. My husbands chicken cacciatore looked like campbells tomato soup with pieces of bell pepper. I got a salad with my meal. Our college team came here expecting something similar to Olive Garden. What we found was something much better: the servers were very friendly and outgoing, the food is all made when ordered, and it is a smaller business. This place is a hidden gem in this small town of Pittsburg. This small, family owned restaurant made me want a repeat visit. My initial visit with my boyfriend, who boasted about how fabulous this restaurant was, was phenomenal. We ordered the salmon piccata and lobster ravioli. They bring bread rolls to your table to get you started. I highly recommend ordering the alla panna sauce to enjoy with your warm bread rolls. You can thank me later. Both our dishes were full of flavor and the servings were more than enough. Just when I thought I could fit any more food into my belly, we were brought a slice of limecello cake. Omg!! It was heaven!! I made space for that cake and even went back for a second visit to have another slice. On our second visit, I enjoyed the shrimp scampi immensely. The flavors of all the dishes just made you feel warm from the inside out. Decided to stop by for a Friday evening dinner. We had the spaghetti and the Philly cheese steak along with the crab stuffed mushrooms. They do not offer any type of wine or alcoholic beverages. Menu: vast selection of classic Italian and Italian American items. Chicken, veal, seafood and pizza. Food impressions Calamari: very salty, not alot of rings but more or less bits and pieces, looked anemic on the plate. Crispy batter, but lacked in all other respects. Sauce was pitiful, tasted like an old plan canned sauce. Anything would help it, seasoning, salt, pepper but not the way it was. Veal Siciliano: overcooked veal, overcooked pasta, overcooked mushrooms and a sauce that isn't fit for anyone. Per the menu it was a white wine sauce. All I could taste was lemon, sauce was thick and stuck to my fork. Veal was overcooked and chewy. Overall: if you are looking for a taste of Italy, go somewhere else. The food here is excellent and authentically Italian. They have many various dishes from different regions of Italy. The service exceeds any expectation. Just last night I had ordered a chicken Parmesan sub and Chicken Marsala. I did it on an online app and asked for no mushrooms with the Chicken Marsala. The delivery came early. There were mushrooms in the Chicken Marsala but very few and it was easy to eat around. I had no problems picking them out. Then, 30 minutes after their closing time, I received a phone call from the manager or owner, I'm not sure which. He apologized profusely for the mix up despite me telling him it was not a big deal. He insisted that on my next order I should get a free slice of cheesecake to try. It is far better service than I have experienced from most restaurants in Pittsburg and a great deal of customer loyalty to go out of their way to accommodate such a minor error, especially when I had made no contact to even notify them the error had occurred. The manager of the restaurant is very verbally and physically abusive to his employees in which he wasn't afraid to display to the whole restaurant. He was throwing items at a 16 year old female employee and cussing her out .
