Its all about timing with this place...If you can get in there before a night rush , or maybe early dinner, late lunch its a great environment. But like so many places in Terrell if someone is spending money on the other side of the restraunt, ( such as a party of 10 with a big dinner table ) you may be getting less than par. I suggest the Lasagna, And my son likes the Ravioli. NOt exactly traditional but they make a valid attempt. A few great waitresses, but some are preoccupied as I mentioned , its all about tip expectations in this town. Tea is good, Coffee is great , probably the only good italian after dinner coffee in Terrell. Looky loo tables in the center of the dining area are a bit uncomfortable, but the booths are cozy . Great place for a date , rather inexpensive too. I expected it to be more , so I made an attempt to give some of what I would have paid in a tip . They really try to keep it nice, clean, and it is able to create a good impression if you have family in from out of town. ( P.S. they don't do a very good Anti-Pasto Salad so don't bother with that. So when you are looking for a decent lunch restaurant in a town of 18,000 people, choices are usually pretty limited. But since I was out running around town with Mom and my daughter, you make your choice and hope for the best. When my mom mentioned Napoli's, I was skeptical as usual - especially since I did not have my smart phone to check it out on Yelp beforehand. However, small E. Texas towns are so under-Yelped, it was probably a moot point anyway. That said, I was pleasantly surprised with the Napoli's in Terrell. First of all, they have a first-class facility (see the Yelp pics!) that is well appointed with dark walls, some fresco paintings - just overall spot-on with respect to the ambiance for Italian. The seating was quick (it WAS 1PM on a Saturday) and service was attentive throughout the meal. I ordered the Sausage & Pepper Parmigiana ($8.95). While it was billed as 'served over spaghetti with mozzarella', I was pleasantly surprised by the 'pop' that the sauce created along with the sauteed sausage and red/green bell peppers. As hungry as I was, it was a struggle for me to eat half of this dish - and I don't miss too many meals! My daughter, who is usually a picky eater, was convinced to order the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken (over angel-hair pasta to make it lighter) - which she enjoyed. I tasted this dish as well, and found it to have a rich taste - but not overly heavy. Only thing I was a bit surprised about was no olive oil for dipping provided with the wonderful hot garlic rolls they provide you. Overall, I'd give Napoli's a 4.5 stars as no one will have to twist my arm to go there again. read more

The garlic rolls were good, but the salmon in my husband's salmon piccata was thin and over cooked, swimming in a watery sauce. My chicken florentine pasta was good, but when we saw a LIVE bug crawling in my daughter's salad, the meal was over. First time eating here. Food was mediocre. We ordered fried Calamari and it tasted old and very rubbery (more than usual). Lasagna was nothing to write home about, just basic lasagna, nothing more, nothing less. I had the aristocrat, it was decent, sauce was good and chicken was cooked well. Bread was good. Then we got the ticket. We were charged 27 dollars for everything and then was charged 32 to our card and no gratuity was included, I hadn't even filled out the slip yet! It wasn't until I brought it up to the front that they fixed it. Excuse was "there was so many people in line, and I wasn't paying attention". We will not be going back. Some dishes are OK, but most are simply terrible; and the worst part is that if you complain, the staff just doesn't care! We left highly unsatisfied with our experience. The spaghetti and meatballs was $12.00 and was very bland with next to no flavor, and it only came with three very small meatballs!! We had to wait about 10 minutes after we got our food just to waive down somebody else's waitress (to get our waitress) just to ask for extra meatballs. She never even came by to ask how our food was. Will definitely not be returning to Napoli's. Although, you may want to try the place out for yourself. The ambiance is nice. My husband and I have not actually eaten in the Terrell restaurant in a very long time. We live in Kaufman and Roma's WAS our go to fast food restaurant but was always poor for eating in. Then they moved to a new location next to Walmart. Initially, the food was the same and the atmosphere better (don't ask about their 'bar', no license in over 2 yrs) as in more open, cleaner and better seating overall. This only lasted a short time. The quality of the food steadily declined to where the pizza is mostly thick dough and nearly no toppings and the chicken dishes are obviously from frozen chicken. The stuffed mushrooms are now absolutely disgusting, the chicken piccata is inedible unless you like raw wine and so much lemon that you can only pucker! Anything with a pink sauce used the same sauce which is overly spiced with the same pepper paste - OMG! Roma's - what used to considered by us too expensive and to only purchase for a small celebration has become our ONLY Italian food goto!!! Most recently, I ordered fried calamari which turned out to be the best I have had since moving to Texas in 1981. If it started out as frozen, no one can tell. It was crispy, tender and non-greasy. Chicken Piccata was the same, non-greasy and the sauce was excellent, Chicken with jalapenos and pink sauce was non-greasy and amazing. We will NEVER go back to Roma's no matter how much we both support local business. There is an old adage - you get what you pay for. Well, you get the very best quality from Napoli's and garbage from Roma's. In all honesty, I grew up in an Italian neighborhood in NY and can probably even teach Napoli's a thing or two. However, I can absolutely tell you Roma's is not worth your time or money. Oh - we have not even tried Napoli's pizza - more comments to come later!! read more

Ok, I know it's Terrell,,,I know we are the black hole for culinary consciousness, but this was really pretty good! I have been to Italy during my work for my uncle, (Sam), he didn't pay well but travel was free so I have sampled real Italian Cuisine and this is pretty good. I even had brick oven pizza in Iceland, an Italian that used to be a whaler opened a real restaurant in Reykavik and he knew pizza! This is my first try for Napoli's and I am sorry I didn't try sooner! Wife had the Chicken Aristocrat which is eggplant and chicken both with a white wine Alfredo type sauce with provolone melted on top, she loved it. I had the Fruits de Mara in alla pana sauce. Fruits de Mara is seafood duh! lol alla pana is an awesome red and white sauce mix that was awesome! The service was great, they box the leftovers for you which means the portions were big. On the way out I mentioned a pizza I had in a hole in the wall brick oven place in Aviano Italy, it was all the seafood I had just eaten on my plate but in pizza form. I was told "no problem" when I came back again they would special make a Fruits de Mara pie just for me! In the immortal words of Douglas, "I will return"! read more

First off let me say that this restaurant embodies everything that Terrell is...which means that it SUCKS really bad! The dicks that run this place are rude as FUCK and the food is disgusting. After reading a lot of reviews for restaurants in Terrell I've noticed that the same exact people leave positive feedback for almost every restaurant so either these reviewers are 1) just fake Yelp accounts 2) just fucking stupid or 3) they like really bad food and service. It just boggles my mind!! On one of my visits to this place, before me and my wife stopped going here, I noticed that the dicks who run this place were very nice to the family in the booth next to us as they must have been regulars....(how? I have no idea). But with us they were the polar opposite. They were rude to us, our food was cold...the stuffed mushrooms tasted like they were heated from frozen..and the food, in general was nasty. But just to give them a chance me and my wife ate here at least 4 times and every time it was the same. The second that an Olive Garden finally opens up in this God-for-saken town this place is toast! So if you have extremely low expectations and love nasty food this is the place for you! read more

Came here tonight with my husband for our anniversary. Ordered the mozzarella sticks and stuffed mushrooms for appetizers. The mozzarella was awesome the stuffed mushrooms I probably will not order again cuz I'm not a big fan of bread crumb filling however the sauce and mushrooms were good. I ordered eggplant parmesan it is the best I've ever had! My husband had the Stromboli and it was full of meat and cheese the crust was perfect the accompanying sauce was excellent! The Bread Basket baskets that they bring to the table the bread is hot not too much garlic and extremely good! the service was impeccable! This is not a 5 star restaurant, but it is darn close because of the freshness & expertly prepared dishes. We were passing through & stayed in Terrell mainly to be closer to Dallas in the am. This area seems to be a culinary wasteland EXCEPT for Napoli's. We dined on a Thursday night at around 7:30pm. We were cheerfully greeted & seated promptly in a corner booth. Delightful given the fact that we had been driving for 11 hrs. When our server came over, he recognized us from my earlier phone call. We were going to order wine by the glass, but he suggested we order a bottle as it would be cheaper. It was a J. Lohr Paso Robles Cab, which I really like. We didn't intend to order a salad, but Albert said he would make us a special one & he did. It was mixed greens, diced tomatoes, onions, cukes & fresh mozzarella with an oil & balsamic dressing--superb. I had the ziti pomodoro (their pastas are homemade!) & my husband had veal piccata. Both were wonderful. The tomato sauce was light & a little peppery, which I loved. We ate the leftovers for lunch the next day & it was still fabulous. While finishing our wine, we chatted with Albert & learned he is from Kosovo! What? Great Italian food from Kosovo. It turns out Kosovo isn't far from northern Italy, so the food is similar. Considering this is an eating establishment in Terrell I was surprised by just how nice it was. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The entrées were vast and very Italianisc. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and my husband ordered chicken alfredo and we were both impressed with just how good it was. I would be remiss if I didn't brag about the delicious dinner rolls. Nearly as soon as we sat down the rolls came out and WOW they were delicious. I was there for lunch. Service was slow, it wasn't busy, Id understand if it was. We weren't a large group either, 5 people. Never had our drinks refilled or even had anyone come by our table after our entrees were served. The server asked if everything was alright as we were trying to pay out, because of course we had to go to the front to pay out, because we never received our check,it was only one check too, not separate checks, we said it was fine. He then began to get confrontational about why it wasn't good. He was very arrogant and cocky, and said it must be our first time there because we complained, and told us if we needed drinks we should have flagged him down if we needed something. I was not aware that in order to get service there or at least have someone check on our table we needed to flag our waiter down. Thanks but no thanks.
