Got the Pad Seew lunch special which came with a delicious crab rangoon and miso soup. I also got a thai tea that was excellent. Service was very attentive.

Walked over here from the Hound last night since the kitchen there was so slammed, they temporarily stopped taking orders. So glad we decided to eat here instead! The food was delicious and our server Emily was awesome! All in all, it was a very pleasant experience

Service was great, he was so attentive & friendly. Great ambiance and everything was so clean including the bathroom. We started with the fresh rolls and the rolls were pretty big and difficult to bite into into, wish they could have been cut into smaller pieces. We also ordered tom yum soup. Soup was very flavorful and good but was lukewarm, wish it had actually been hot. We also ordered drunken noodles with tofu and it was one of the best drunken noodles I've ever had. It was so flavorful and just the right amount of spice. Absolutely love it. We also ordered pad thai with tofu and it was also delicious. Would definitely go back!

Wonderful to have another lunch option close to the office! Ventured out recently to try Suwana for lunch and was not disappointed. It was pretty quiet at first, and then people slowly started streaming in the front door. Service was great, very attentive without hovering. Started with the Miso soup, the warm broth hit the spot on a chilly day! Off the lunch menu we ordered Thai Fried Rice with Beef and a Vegetable Lo Mein dish. Both meals were delicious with a beautiful presentation. The portions are generous for a lunch serving, so of course, I had to take a lot of my Lo Mein in a to-go container! Will definitely be back for more office lunch outings!

Beautiful presentation, great service, explains menu. One of the best places for rolls around.

Great service, fresh food, forgot to take a picture before. With Asheville service this is surprisingly nice if you were from a service state like New York or Florida you will not be disappointed. I can tell you that much. Excited that a Thai place actually has Thai tea also . I will definitely be back udon sushi is the only runner up to this place.

    Sashimi

Sashimi...divine....the best wasabi Ever. Cashew chicken was so tasty as well. Lots of veggies in there and very generous sized portions. Ordered take out, but staff was very friendly and made sure to include soy sauce and chopsticks without having to ask. The restaurant has a full bar and is very warm and welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone! People there are doing a great job and really want to serve their customers! This is just one piece of my sashimi, but it was all amazing!

The shishito peppers were wonderful and nicely charred with a great dipping sauce. The seabass may have been the tastiest item, the butter sauce and roasted lemon sauce was exceptional. We finished up with the carrots and bbq ribs, which were crispy on the outside but tender as you bit into the rib meat. Service was stellar as expected for any Michelin rated restaurant. I'm def coming back here soon, the bar looks nice and they have nice Ramen bowls and other items I want to try.

The service was great, I was seated immediately and my server was attentive without being intrusive. I ordered the yellowtail and scallion roll and the godzilla roll (tempura spicy tuna, tobiko, scallion, eel sauce & spicy mayo). My lunch appeared very quickly. Both were very good, the godzilla roll in particular was extremely tasty, the crisp crackle of the tempura blending perfectly with the satiny spicy tuna. The heat level was perfect, building over the course of eating the whole roll. This is definitely one of my favorite downtown lunch spots, and they deserve the accolades they have received as the best sushi spot in Asheville.

How do I know, because I've eaten thousands of bowls of ramen from Michelin rated shops and this tonkotsu is BETTER than ALL of them. I have been studying ramen for over 30 years. I've eaten near ten thousand bowls of ramen since I had my first bowl of authentic Japanese ramen 35 years ago. Yes I'm qualified to make this statement. And no, I'm not telling you my name. I am unaffiliated, independent and unbiased. I've been a food critic for 45 years. If you're getting a 5 star review on a dish from me, you can rest assured it's legit. My top 5 bowls of Ramen as of tonight, are now as follows. 1- Heiwa Shokudo, Asheville NC, Tonkotsu, w/extra Chashu, pork belly, extra Ajitama, black garlic paste drizzle. Kaedama. 2- Ippudo, 5th Avenue, NYC- AKAMARU SHINAJI. Yes, Heiwa Shokudo's tonkotsu is BETTER than Ippudo's, (the best tonkotsu in the world.) 3- Totto- Hells Kitchen, Miso 4- Ichiran, Brooklyn. Classic Tonkotsu w/recommended toppings. 5- Ivan Ramen, Brooklyn, Tokyo Shoyu. If you love Tonkotsu as much as I do, go order a bowl from this place. It's epic! I'm done talking now.

The staff were extremely helpful. I mentioned I was looking for vegetarian options, and the bar tender thoughtfully guided me through the various options on both the tapas and ramen menus. That made for a great experience. In terms of the food, I opted for the miso eggplant and the garlic butter broccoli. Both were excellent. The miso eggplant is served as well cooked Japanese eggplant with a light tempura treatment and somewhat sweet miso glaze. Not too heavy, but still delicious and nicely textured. The broccoli was perfectly cooked with lots of flavor. It made for a nice pairing. In terms of beer, they had a few different local beers on tap. I went for a local pale ale. Great. In any case, this place is highly recommended. I suspect their vegetarian ramen would probably be pretty good, but that was a little heavier than what I was looking for. It was nice to have a few other vegetable forward options available as a backup.

So, that's how I chose Thai food to close out the year. Parking. It's on Broadway. Check the signs. Don't get excited like me and pull in only to find it's for loading/unloading or handicapped. I ended up just parking in one of the lots. 3 hour parking for $18.50. I don't know if that's the standard rate or if it was inflated for NYE but after having done a few laps, I just said WTH and pulled right in. It was only a block and a half away. The place wasn't packed but bustling with to go orders. We did arrive later and by the time we left, there were only a few tables occupied. Not being busy, but also being sat where we were - service was great. Attentive as we were always within line of sight of the team and all we needed to do was make eye contact. Not that we needed to other than refills and for me, spicy chili powder/sauce. Food was good. Not spicy - but as my friend would say - nothing is spicy for me. But I wanted the added heat as it was a little chilly out. Good flavors but not explosions like I'm used to. Not that it was bad - maybe it was on the muted side for the demographics? It was a very nice tasty dinner to close out 2025!
