The creamy vegetable ramen had an unusual, unpleasant smell, and I wasn't able to eat it.

Not that the seafood wasn't great because it was but because the creamy chicken is amazing.

All three were pricey... $16.95, $17.95, $17.95, but well worth it. The broths were flavorful and each one of us slurped down to the last drop. We ended with mochi, and it was prepared like you expect, soft and doughy on the outside, and cold and frozen ice cream on the inside. Too many places have melted mochis by the time you crack them. Service was kind and prompt. We'll be back.

When we walked in we were quickly seated and the staff was great and made great recommendations. We tried the bang bang shrimp and the volcano tamago. The bang bang shrimp was fried and covered in the sauces. It was good but not the type of bang bang shrimp I'm used to. The volcano tamago were half of a hard boiled egg each and were full of flavor, soft and crunch at the same time. Loved those! On to the ramen, I got the garlic ramen and it was good! I shared with my little so I had the chili oil on the side and he loved it and ate a whole small bowls worth. I added the chili after and some pork katsu which were delicious. To drink we tried the kumquat lemon with the aloe jelly. It was refreshing for a hot summer day. Overall we had a great experience and look forward to coming back when we're in the area.

Two people walked in after us looking for the restaurant next-door. we have never been here before and received a buy one get one free coupon from the toast app. They said that the buy one get one free is only good on takeout and delivery. The lady was nice enough to let us use it for dine in since we don't ever do pick up or delivery. We were surprised at the restaurant was not crowded since it was a Friday night at dinner time. When we walked in the restaurant, we were the only people there. A few minutes later a party of Two walked in for Diane and then there was a guy that came in all by himself to pick up an order. We started off with a Japanese calamari appetizer. It was not seasoned at all just a little bit of salt. It really could use some other flavors. They gave us plain mayonnaise to dip it in, it was OK, but I was hoping that there would've been a nice specialty sauce.. My husband and I both had the chicken Ramen. It was just average. I don't think I would eat that again if I came here. It shocked me to see Sherri tomatoes floating in the soup. The broth had no flavor. It really needs some spices when they're cooking it. The table has Sriracha, fresh garlic, and red pepper flakes that you can add to your food which I did. There are a lot of menu options, so we might be back to try something else. We were unhappy that the appetizer came out a minute before our soup came to the table.

Solid ramen spot!…read more While we were shopping at IKEA we had the sudden urge for some ramen, and not knowing the area we looked up what was close and landed on this place. We walked in and they were incredibly busy, the server was attentive and gave us a very minimal ETA which we simply waited by the door. We were sat within time and they took care of us immediately! The servers simply seemed to round robin the tables and kept it very efficient. We both ordered different items and both incredibly satisfied. The ramen itself was very tasty and perfectly cooked! Keep in mind some items on the side like green onions would surely be good for two people so don't feel the need to buy multiple. Highly recommend this spot and will certainly return!

The menu is much less, the food portions are less, and the container the food comes in is plastic and made for to go orders even though we dined in. When you go inside, they have a sufficient amount of tables to sit at, but it wasn't very busy on a Saturday night. You order at the register and he brings it out to you. You'll have to be patient, they don't have a lot of staff. We ordered tako karaage (fried octopus), croquettes, Taiwan style tonkotsu ramen with 2 pieces of chashu, and the deluxe bento with butashoga (ginger pork). I had a bite of the pork and it was delicious. Ginger was not overpowering. Tender meat. Prices were very affordable and cheap. Service was great and he brought out our food hot and freshly made. I would definitely come back and try other items. -tako karaage 5 - it had a nice little chew and was not overly fried. Great taste. -croquettes 5 - I loved these. When you bite into them, they're soft. Flavorful, savory filling inside. I should have gotten more of these. -Taiwan style tonkotsu ramen 5 - noodles were chewy. Bountiful amount of ground pork. The two chashu pieces were tender and easy to break apart. Broth was not heavy, it was just right.

We normally go to Ramen Misoya or Chicago Ramen, both great options with vegan and "halal" options…read more I saw this on some Chicago Halal Foodies reel and decided want in. I got take out and everything was well packaged and remained hot after it got to it's final destination about 1h away. My partner is vegan and enjoyed the vegan option. It wasn't anything fancy however most places slap vegan after taking things out and you pay the same price. This place more or less built the ramen with vegans in mind and so the ebb and flow of the ingredients worked out to be a delicious ramen dish. I had the spicy halal ramen, it was also delicious. We also got two halal chicken ramens which, you guessed it, was delicious. The broth wasn't as thick as ramen misoya or as light as chicago ramen. It was in between but actually really good and not as salty. We also got the spring rolls, sesame balls, and agedashu tofu which tasted well. The spring rolls and tofu weren't as crispy but it was a long trip so not on them. I could've sped, but I was getting great mileage. They still tasted great. Now this place also has Chinese dishes which makes it a great option when in the mood for various Asian cuisine and going to one shop. I forget the name of another joint in Chicago on the west side that does the same but it has all the things and it's great but that's an even further. Regardless everything we had was enjoyable and the halal chicken tasted significantly better than Ramen Misoya. It was seasoned very well. At Ramen Misoya, it's not "zabiha" but it's considered halal. I'll try to explain it as best and fast as I can. In Islam halal/haram means permissible/impermissible. Halal in terms of food mainly applies to fauna (i.e. animals, fish, insects, etc). For example corn, pineapple, bread, strawberries are exempt and are thus always halal. Zabiha is the term which means the animal was sacrificed, while being thankful for it, and a process was followed to ensure minimal pain and suffering and it was cleaned, prepped, etc properly. Basically to be thankful for what you have since you're benefiting from something living / cognizant and not just being flippant because it's livestock. Now for some animals in order for them to be edible, it has to be permissible (i.e. halal), as such it has to be Zabiha. However there are schools of thought where so long as the food you are about to receive and or consume isn't haram (i.e. pork) and it was given with pure intention, you can say "Bismillah" and enjoy your dish. Zabiha and halal are often conflated but I hope this explains why.

Out of the ramens we tried, the spicy miso and spicy tonkotsu (with kimchi) were our favorite! The regular tonkotsu was just missing a bit more flavoring. Our food items came out quickly and were very fresh! : crab rangoons, takoyaki, sesame balls, tonkotsu ramen
