I walked in at 8:01 (last wash is 8:00) If I had blocked the parking lot, I would have been in at 7:58 I only had 1 load of clothes, and was rudely told it's too late (1 minute late?)to wash. After pointing out it's 1 minute past, she still said "No"!! That's ridiculous. Poor customer service. The parking lot is small, and the facility is not that nice to turn someone away for a minute. This place did a pretty good job dry cleaning, but they were slow. They dry clean at a different location so sometimes your clothes are ready but they have to wait for the other site to drop them off. No one there speaks English so if you don't speak Spanish it will be difficult to do business. read more

This place is horrible I took two pieces of clothing for a dry cleaning and they weren't even done within a week the reception lady who works there she doesn't speak English and the phone numbers here does not work at all this is the worst cleaners I have ever been to in my life they need someone who is bilingual and I went to pick up my clothes and they ship them off to get dry clean which I have never heard of before so I have to wait until my shipment gets back. read more

We always come here when we have a washing machine malfunction. Or something huge. This cleaner also houses a washateria with big double capacity washers as well as some of the typical single-load top loading machines. They also have giant dryers which will dry about 4 loads at a time. I think they will also do your laundry for you as we saw the employee washing and folding sheets (although I assume they could be his). The place is clean and there is always someone there since they have a cleaners on-site as well. Definitely better than most laundromats. read more

Just got ran out of here at 8:31 when the sign says they are open until 10. They wouldn't even let me just wash a load of laundry without the need to dry it. I asked how long the washers take and was told 30 minutes. 8:31, or more like 8:35 by the time I would have gotten the load started, plus 30 minutes for the wash, would have hand me out of there at 9:05. 55 minutes before they even close. read more

Nara Washateria has new machines which is what I like about this place the most. The store itself is clean and offers free internet so I have no problem sticking around while my laundry gets done. I use their dry clean service regularly for my shirts and haven't had any trouble. read more

Dry Cleaning service was not good at all. We were not told that they send it out to be cleaned. It also was not there and we had to wait until it arrived. The lady that took our tickets lost them and we had to wait for her to retrieve them as well. Soda machine had no soda. Someone came and asked for change and they had no change to give. It is a standard washateria with broken machines and children running around. I would not recommend coming here at all; not even if your washing machine breaks down or you have no machine. Look around for a better place, with better staff and parking. read more

5 July 2016. I can't remember the last time I've been to a washateria, it's been more than 8 years for sure. After a long weekend to the beach house, I had a ton of laundry to do and I didn't want to spend three days getting everything caught up. Nara's Cleaners was the most convenient location, so I gave them my business today. The trash cans are overflowing, trash on the ground, and one of the machines didn't register the $5 in quarters that I fed it. I spoke with the attendant (who was very nice and friendly) and she was able to start the machine for me. Also, she told me that the Maxi Loaders only give WARM water. If you select cold water, it might not give enough water to wash the clothes. If you select hot water it's going to give you warm water. Not sure how you can tell the difference while the washer is locked and everything, but ok. I separated my regular towels and super big beach towels into two Maxi Loaders, but probably could have put them all in one. Also, I put $2.00 in each dryer (40 min) and they probably only needed $1.50. The hot setting is SUPER hot. As in, 1st degree burns from your clothes if you're not careful. I recommend using only the low and medium settings. The small top loaders, 1 load = $2 Maxi Load front loaders, 3+ loads = $5 Dryers = $0.25 for 5 minutes I spent about $23 to wash and dry about 7 loads of clothes, but probably should have spent about $15 since I could have consolidated the two loads of towels. I used 3 Maxi washers and used 4 dryers for wverything. My clothes appear clean and dry. However, the towels that were in the Hot dryer smell weird, despite having two Downy dryer sheets. I didn't have any problems with the coin change maker. I counted my change and everything was exact. I would come back when I have 5+ loads of laundry to do after vacations, or when I need to wash a big blanket or comforter. read more

I've coming to Nara laundromat for years and they do a good job in maintaining the space. The washers and dryers are cheaper than other laundromats. The laundromat itself and the machines are always clean and ready to be used. I've used the dry cleaning service several times and had no problem. Staff are consistently friendly and helpful. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I've given them more than a few chances to redeem themselves and each visit is always worst than the last. As a business owner myself, just like my own customers appreciate good customer service. Not very clean, ants & bugs in the bathroom, most washers & dryers are usually inoperable, and on this visit the washer would not start after taking $5. The staff never speaks English and don't offer quarters in exchange for nickels & dimes. I've had to feed way too much money to dryers because they don't dry your clothes. It would be nice to buy some bleach if you run out but they do not sell any. Don't waste your time or money! I only come here to wash my business towels and won't patronize again. It's dirty, always something on the floors and wet towels to catch leaking machines. Very poor management & customer service. read more

Just had the non English speaking Hispanic lady that works here lock the door on me when I arrived at 8:37pm, and the hours on the door clearly say it is open until 10pm with last entry at 9pm. I had 2 loads of laundry to do and would have been done before 10pm. The phone number on the door and on Yelp has been disconnected. More than furious as its been over 20 years since I've even had to resort to a laundry mat. Will find out ownership and contact direct. read more

Great place! I come here to use maxi load machines for my comforters on regular bases and was never disappointed. There're always friendly staffs on site and free wifi. The place is clean and well maintained. Two game machines, coke machines, bleaches and soaps. I'd like to do wash and fold sometime soon. read more

If you go early in the morning it's not bad the man that's there in the morning is very nice helpful and polite. He is the only reason I give this place any stars at all. Also the restrooms here are usually pretty clean. The lady who works in the afternoon/ evening is extremely rude and difficult on multiple occasions. Today was the last straw their change machines were all out of order so I ask the lady if she could give me quarters for my dollars I was 5 quarters short and had already put the of my quarters in the machine. She said she will only give quarters in increments of $5 or $10, I told her I only had 4 Dollars in cash but she refused to change it for me. I told her I already put money in the machine but was short. I asked if she would just refund me what was in the machine and I would leave and she just kept saying no.... after arguing with me back and forth she she took my dollar and started the machine manually. I left to get more money for another load I had to do and returned with $5 she handed me a labcorp bag with quarters in it that I walked directly to the $5 machine and inserted the quarters and came up 2 quarters short... my mistake for not counting it out in front of her before walking away.... all in all this place is not worth the headache and attitude you will get I didnt even stay to dry my clothes. It is right outside my neighborhood but I refuse to return any longer I would rather drive further just to avoid this woman and her shady business practices. read more

I will never come to this place of business ever again. This is my first and last time coming. I was told my outfit could be hemmed and ready by Friday. I get here it's both not ready nor here. I returned from my trip and mind you it's been 3 weeks and still no outfit. The lady at the desk spoke very little English, but when she shrugged her shoulders like oh well I lost it. She threatened to call the police and I didn't care at all. Her attitude to me was I don't know where your outfit is and I don't give a damn! Finally a lady arrived and asked how she could assist me. Thank God I had my ticket to show for my alterations that I paid for in advance. Now if I had known they out source all their dry cleaning and alterations I would've never allowed them to touch my clothing. They lost my ticket and didn't know who the outfit belonged to. This place is horrible! I went here yesterday with one load. First it costs $5 bucks just to pretty much was a load. I went to dry my load and the dry took $1.75. I went and told the lady that the dryer only gave me 10 minutes and I thought I had lost the rest of the money. She was rude and act like she was bothered. I was trying to explain to her that I put the money in and I should have received at least 35 minutes. She turned her back and proceeded to play on her cell. The dryer is 25 cents for 5 minutes. At this point I became bothered she turned around and start clapping her hands like she was talking to a dog or child and then it became ugly. At this point give me my money back and I could go elsewhere. She walked over to the raggedy machine hit it and out came 50 cents. An additional 5 minutes was spent going back and forth with her about the time. The dryers there steal your drying time. Based on the rest of the reviews here they are so true! It took a young child working with her to help her understand English. I told her she needed to use her cell's calculator to calculate the amount of drying time they owed me. Finally she takes me to a dryer and inserts a quarter like she's doing me a favor. They still owe me. This lady almost made me come really out of character. Save your peace don't use this place. Machines are old and ripping people off. They also make sure the dryers are on low temp so you can keep inserting your money thinking your clothes are not getting dry. You can't really tell what you're asking for because they are so beat up. Hate my washer broke down that day. Neverrrr again! read more

My first visit to a washateria/laundromat in probably 30 years--but when it came time to wash bedding from our king-sized bed (a fiberfill topper, woven cotton bedspread, and cotton thermal blanket), I knew my home washer and dryer wouldn't cut it. Machines were clean and well-labeled, the space was clean and well-lighted, with AC, TV on PBS, free wifi, change machine, detergent dispensers, and vending machines. I would have lived here in college! (For those returning to the fold, yes, machines still take quarters--20 for XL machines, 13 for regular, and dryers are 1 for 5 minutes of drying.) read more

Found this laundromat was open until 10 and one of the washers was not working and the maintenance guy had to fix it to make water come in the machine. The lady threw a trash can near me I assumed it was a mistake but it was her way of saying I came at 9 and she wasn't happy. I was sure I'd be done by 10 however the machine that was broken had to get repaired for water to go in the machine my keys fell beside the washer he opened it and they were in a puddle of water!! After seeing me load and add money to 2 washers she came over after and began to yell in Spanish if you not done by 10 you won't dry. I told her one of the washers had an issue with the water and maintenance guy fixed it. I was not the only one in there that was washing. She washed me the entire time and another lady with babies pregnant was trying also to hurry to get her things done and out she had 3 babies. 2 other people were there. This lady turned the lights off pitch black at 9:58. Everyone things in the drier with maybe 5 mins left she began to yell get out get out I'm gonna call the police in Spanish. Nobody was saying anything. I told her I cannot see to get my clothes she did not care locked out the pregnant lady's children while she was trying to get her things out I was filling my baskets and pushing them to the door all in the dark. All our first time there. I could not believe the customer service I received. I will never go back and she refused to give the money back from the dryers waited outside for the pregnant lady to give her back her roll carts yelling about the time and calling the police. We were all out of her business. I never in my life met any owner that treats customers like this. I don't know what I left in there as the business was dark due to her turning off the lights.
