The door install was done so expertly by Chad who installed an exterior door with new frame, bottom sill and dog proof kick plate. He was able to use the existing hardware from the old door which saved a few bucks. They did tell me they don't paint the door for you, but that's ok. I have a large atrium type living room that gets very hot from direct sun exposure and whose large picture window/sliding windows and french doors, leak during every driving rain. I got a predictably high bid from a large - well known window replacement company. After hearing CDW's annoying ads for about a decade now on KNX-I decided to give them a try. I was so skeptical that CDW would be a better bid that I almost canceled. Glad I didn't. CDW sent a personable, low key-no pressure, knowledgable person. He did a great presentation on the values of upgrading in this particular case, AND the price was 1/3 less than the "other guy". From the signing of the contract, It took four weeks to manufacture product and set installation date. Installation was completed in one day with a team of three installers. They prepped by covering all interior/exterior furniture/ surfaces exposed to possible work dust. They were friendly, worked diligently and answered whatever questions I had without attitude or hesitation during the day. Their attention to detail in the finish/caulking was great. Looks perfect. All I can say is-I am super thrilled with the product, personel, and the installation. It looks beautiful. Huge upgrade for our primary living space. Could not be happier. We asked for a quote from My WIndow Solutions, got one that was quite good. We had explained the rationale for getting a replacement window (the leak). Parry sent over his crew right away to caulk around the existing one so we wouldn't get any incursion while waiting for the new one to arrive and get installed. Nice! For this job, I had also asked to have a custom window casing and deep windowsill built. We agreed that I'd buy the materials (a particular trim profile and hardwood species), prime them, and they'd do the cutting and installation. This collaboration worked perfectly.

Second, it was a green door, meaning, it was not totally cured and oozed out sap for 4 months. 6 months later, the door cracked. After several months, they agreed to a new door. When it came, it was not measured correctly so I had to wait another 6 months for the next door. so now the door is installed, I had to pay again to get it repainted. Guess what, 6 months later, that new door cracked. They will not replace the door so I have to live with a cracked door since they told me it is past warranty. their solution...pay another $1500 to install a fiberglass door as a replacement. I would not even give this company 1 star if I could.

Cory led the installation and did an amazing job including rebuilding a bay window structure in the kitchen where the old wooden windows and wood framing had years of water damage that needed to be removed and rebuilt. Other companies that bid on this job did not seem concerned about the water damage in the bay window structure and wouldn't commit to exactly how far they could go to restore the integrity of this structure. Armond, came to meet with me and help me choose the right windows (from Milgard). He listened to my concerns about the kitchen window structured and assured me that Cory had the experience and skills needed to do the job right. Katie and Rio in the office were a pleasure to work with as well and answered all questions promptly with regard to order status, logistics, and billing, and the overall experience was beyond my expectations.
