Not sure what is Indian, or Mexican about this place when they lack the flavors from both the cuisine. Recently went here for a birthday dinner with friends and returned with an upset stomach and disappointment. Had been waiting to try this place for the last 6 months since it was an Indo-mexican fusion. The idea itself was new and of course, it is Texas and we had to try it. Our order: Veg Samosa 4/5 Lentil crackers 1/5 Goat Biriyani 5/5 Chile Relleno 1/5 Taco plate Paneer enchilada 1/5 I had been waiting for 3 days planning on the menu and its creative dishes but such a disappointment. The samosa was looking like an empanada (so that's the Mexican touch to it and it had Indian flavors and taste. It was not a let down but the lentil crackers just blew our minds off. It was no where close to chips & salsa replacement. It was just a regular Indian papad. Goat biriyani was an authentic Indian biriyani with ebbing flavors and spices with good and well cooked goat meat. I would totally recommend that here. Let us come to the disasters of the evening: Chile Relleno - I got the veggie Relleno and the tikka masala on the top. The tikka masala was really tasty and buttery , loved it. The fillings inside the poblano peppers were simply boiled potato and peas and they were just bland!! I thought it was just for me but it had the same with the Paneer enchilada. The enchilada was super bland and dry and lacking Mexican or Indian flavors as i said earlier. Not recommending this place to anyone who knows Indian flavors.

I came here as a recommendation from the person I was meeting and overall I thought I was a good experience. There's a nice patio with a decent amount of seating and I love how the silverware, plates and cups were metal. The staff was friendly and I appreciated how you could order from a QR code. I got the vegetable Chana masala and it was pretty good--low-key was hoping for more vegetables because there was just 2 chunks of potato and a couple pieces of cauliflower, but the flavor was yummy. The garlic naan was fire obviously. I also got a margarita and my total after tip was about $38..I know I'm cheap as fuck but that low-key seems a tiny bit steep for 3 things lol, but the food is yum & filling and the vibe was chill. The super nice man fed my dog some lamb. I don't know if he worked there or not but my dog and I both really appreciate his kindness and my dog said the lamb was FIRE !

I love this place! Everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious. I've been a number of times now and my only complaint is that I feel like there's some kind of inconsistency in the spice levels. I love intense spice so I always go for the hottest level - 'Desi Hot'. I usually order through Doordash because I feel like they actually make it as spicy as it's supposed to be rather than knocking down the spice when I come i person. I wish I could give like 4.5 instead of just 4 but I think the spice levels should be kept consistent. I order the spiciest level because I want it super spicy lol but it still tastes amazing nonetheless!

Lots of vegan options! I liked the Aloo Gobi and the Pomegranate Margarita. It looked like they had a good happy hour from 4-7pm on weekdays. Service was nice and we did not feel rushed, but need to note that the restaurant was very noisy.

I can't believe how this place went under my radar for so long! They blended Mexican & Indian food so well here. When I walked in I wasn't really sure what I was expecting to be honest but I was blown away by how nice the entire staff was and how delicious the food is. The Tikka Nacho's with cheese honestly blew my mind. They added this delicious Tikka sauce on top and the side that, with the cheese, came together perfectly. They also included some guacamole which was very good with the nachos as well. Next time I plan on the getting them chicken. The chicken Tikka Enchilada was wild, I can't believe they made enchiladas with a sweet tikka sauce. The first bite had me totally hooked wanting more. The sauce was sweet, the chicken cooked perfect and tender. It was very amazing. They had music playing which was very nice and all the staff were so attentive to us and making sure they answered our questions and were close by to help with everything. I'm mad I didn't find Nasha sooner but now that I have I'll make sure this is going to be a recurring restaurant I visit. An absolutely deserved 5/5 stars!!

Vibe- Very nice restaurant with plenty of seating inside and outside under a nice patio like space. Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- Tofu vegan taco plate (I wish the tofu had more seasoning but it was alright) + Momma's Summa Lemonade Parking- There's a few spaces in the lot and some street parking near by

I had high hopes for this place but it was nothing special. Pros: * interesting decor * parking available *outdoor seating * green chutney served with pakora was amazing! Cons: * I got the lamb thali. While the lamb was tender, only 3 pieces were given. Chana masala had no spice, cabbage slaw had no purpose, onion pakoras were cold, halwa dessert was clumped and cold. Naan was very doughy, reminded me of thick roti. I try not to leave food behind but i just couldn't finish it. The lack of spice killed my appetite.

I've always been curious about what Indian TexMex fusion would work and Nasha nailed it. We started with the tikka queso, the flavors were incredible. It was very creamy and almost the texture of vegan queso, but good nonetheless. I wanted to try the "fusion" food but I got sucked into a favorite food, chicken tikka masala. I like spicy food but the server made me a little nervous by saying spicy is- well spicy. So I went with medium heat- next time I will ask for just spicy. the flavor was great but I would have loved a bit more heat. The garlic naan was incredible. My partner got a chicken biryani and said it was better than others he's had at other joints. The inside is small and cozy but they take advantage of the space well. If cedar wasn't trying to take us all out, I would have opted to sit outside. The space looks great out there. Will definitely be back, I saw about 30 other item on the menu that I need to try.

Love this hidden gem. I don't know about y'all but we got tired of going to places in Austin and having to wait to eat. We went on a Friday dinner, past 6 pm. The place was not empty, there were tables occupied. But we got seated right away. The ordering was all done thru an app. There were 3 of us in the group. You can open a tab and invite your group. Very convenient! The service is quite prompt too. I had the cardamom margarita and lamb Chile relleno with masala sauce. My companions had the tikka masala and carne asada. We all shared the chips (which are actually papadums) and chutney, and samosa. All were yum! As I am writing this a few days later, I already want to go back. :) We will be back for sure!

First of all, love that there is parking here! Second of all, I also really love this idea of "Indian Tex Mex" although we only really ate from the curry section of the menu, this being our first time here. That being said, the curries were so so yummy and flavorful (and run a bit hot, I wish there was an option in between mild and medium for my ideal spice level). The curries themselves don't come with any meats or proteins and it can honestly get a little pricey. I also would have appreciated the dish coming with some more rice. I do want to come back to try some of the fusion dishes though!

RUN, don't walk here. I'm visiting Austin and often seek out Indian food because it's my comfort food, and I came across Nasha-intrigued by their "Indian Tex Mex" menu. EVERYTHING is remarkable. The ambience is very casual, super friendly service, and just REALLY good food. We got- Tikka con queso- The sauce had the right amount of flavor mixed with yummy queso and some papad to dip in Saag paneer enchiladas- I'm sorry, but WHAT?! Such an innovative dish, this was spicy, cheesy, and saucy (we got it with verde sauce on top). The side salad was also extremely refreshing and crispy, and the daal paired well with rice Chicken tikka tacos- These were huge, and had so much flavor. I appreciate that they weren't loaded with bug chunks of chicken, but instead with tiny seasoned pieces mixed throughout, and so many crispy peppers To drink we tried the cardamom, pomegranate and karma sutra margarita, also tried the Sassi Lassi I wish this was in LA, and honestly, I'm probably going to eat here everyday while in Austin!

I love love fusion but this is anything but fusion! Disguised as fusion please meet Nasha, a hodgepodge of flavorless mess! First of service, what service! The team is NOT helpful and nor kind! The lady that serves us definitely hates her job! Being a desi, when placing order I asked for chilies as we like spicy food, and she said no we can't give you chilies! I noticed my margarita had fresh jalapeño so I ask the food runner for chilies or anything spicy and thank god he asked the bartender who then taught the server she can charge for chilies and bring it for us! The server didn't even bring my sister hot water as requested, and when we told her she forgot and the meal had ended, she shrugged and said oh well we get busy! So pathetic service! Hodgepodge food came fast but service was third class Now food: except for the steak taco, nothing else was edible! There is so much you can do with nachos and make it fusion with oomph but this had nothing! It was tasteless! And carne asada too! I mean nothing had fusion originality except the taco which definitely was edible the drink was good! So 2 stars for those two items! Everything else sucked! Place is cute! I liked the outdoor seating factor and the decor Ample parking Overall this place has so much potential but the service combined with the hodgepodge food made it a point of no return! The server was truly clueless

First, the menu needs a rewrite for content and clarity. For example, buying fajitas doesn't list guacamole and based on size, single, for two and family you get more sides of rice or beans. There's no definition of how much actual meat you get and our server couldn't provide that information beyond a rough estimate. Second, the fajitas we got of family size and for two portions for 7 were not consistently cooked. We asked for medium rare and got about 25% at that with the ones in the center at a more well done. Again, the multiple tiny sides were more obnoxious than anything as it's legit beans and rice unless you want to upcharge. The cilantro lime rice tastes like nothing so skip that and go for abuelita rice which has a hint of flavor. Overall, the butter/gravy that go on the fajitas is the real winner but again a menu where you overbuy and misunderstand (that doesn't even list extras like guacamole or a simple small queso) was beyond frustrating. I would stick to them for one to possibly get a better cook.

Boom boom sauce is the star. The verde vegetarian sauce and deluxe tomatilo are amazing too. You can't go wrong with any of the those. Veggies enchiladas comes with two enchiladas, you can have different sauce for each. Other vegetarian items that we have tried are veggie fajitas, burrito, quesadilla and nachos. Guac is good too and comes in lot of quantity if you order as a side. Their jalapeno ranch is soooo good and goes well with their homemade chips which are very light. They refill the chips, and salsa and ranch as many times as needed. Oh and the best of all- tresleche cake. They run out pretty quick so make sure you ask for it up on arrival and ask them to keep aside one for you if possible. This location is almost always full so make sure you put your name on reservation list ahead of time. Parking can be little tricky on weekends but have plenty of spots in the back so should be able to find in sometime. It's walkable from zilker park location so that's another nice part about this specific Chuy's. Margherita is pretty famous, I haven't tried it but friends always loved it.

She noticed I was ordering dairy items on side and asked about if pesto in guacamole was ok. So astute and kind of her. Also on my friends second drink remembered she didn't want salt or her rim without even asking - Everything tasted so fresh and high quality - Brisket tacos: packed with flavor--maybe it was the wagyu meat or the black magic oil. Freshly made corn tortillas were awesome. Usually corn ones and pretty throwaway meh, but these added to the greatness of the tacos. 5 stars - Duck flautas: crispy covered in mild mole. Loved the mashed potato addition inside for some mellowness and texture. 5 stars - Guacamole: so fresh and that dollop of pesto on top was lovely. Served with crispy masa dippers were impressive almost a 8x11 page size. It was fun to crack off into pieces, but hard to stop eating it. 5 stars - Sweet potato: friend loved these long charred wedges. 4.5 stars - Cocktails were stellar. I got the Don Dario which was a play on a marg and delightful - $12 of a few drinks during lucky hour (Mon-Fri 5-6pm, Sat-Sun 3-5pm) - High energy vibes in a clean, open, tan colored space - Had their bottle water on the table in a champagne bottle which speaks to my heart Midlights: - In East Austin so have to Uber if you are staying more central - Tacos come in orders of 4. Wish it was less so we could've tried more variety. Lowlights - No food discounts for lucky hour - Didn't have time to try the choco taco which looked amaze - Large gap of time between items first few items coming out and the rest

At this point, El Dorado is an Austin favorite. People don't really debate whether it's good. They debate whether the wait is worth it, which is a very different conversation. So rather than adding another voice to the pile of praise, it seems more useful to talk about what people should actually expect when they go. First, yes, there may be a wait. This place is popular, and popular restaurants attract crowds. That's not a criticism; it's simply the reality. But it's also worth noting that many of the legendary wait times come from showing up exactly when everyone else does. If you can sneak in before or after the prime lunch and dinner rushes, the experience becomes much more manageable. Once you're seated, do yourself a favor and order the white queso. Better yet, if you're with family or friends, just get the sampler. It turns the beginning of the meal into an event rather than a formality. The white queso is every bit as good as people claim, but what surprised me even more was how seriously El Dorado takes its salsa. Most restaurants treat salsa as a free opening act before the main performance. Here, it feels like something carefully considered. Several varieties stood out, and more than one made me wonder why so many places settle for mediocre salsa when it can clearly be this good. As for the food itself, it's important to know what kind of restaurant you're walking into. If your idea of Austin Tex-Mex is fresh, light, bright, and vaguely health-conscious, you may need to adjust your expectations. El Dorado leans toward the heartier side of the spectrum. These are rich, deeply flavored dishes that feel rooted in tradition rather than trends. The portions are generous, the flavors are bold, and the meal has a certain gravitational pull to it. This is not food that politely taps you on the shoulder. It gives you a warm hug and then insists you have another bite. What impressed me most, oddly enough, were the beans and rice. Normally, they're supporting characters that exist simply because tradition demands they be present. At El Dorado, they seem to receive the same attention as everything else on the plate. It's a small detail, but great restaurants often reveal themselves through small details. The service deserves just as much praise as the food. During our visit, we interacted with several different staff members, and every one of them was friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. There was none of the rushed indifference that sometimes sneaks into busy restaurants. Even better, management was actively moving through the dining room, checking on guests, talking with tables, and making sure people were enjoying themselves. It's the kind of thing that doesn't always get noticed when it's done well, but it absolutely contributes to why places like this develop loyal followings. The atmosphere itself is cheerful and comfortable. It's colorful without being flashy, lively without being chaotic. Nobody is going to leave talking about the interior design, but that's perfectly fine. The room accomplishes what it needs to accomplish: it feels welcoming and relaxed, allowing the food and the people to be the stars. As for negatives, there really aren't many. If you're looking for an elevated dining experience with dramatic plating, moody lighting, and a server who explains every ingredient as though introducing characters in a novel, this probably isn't your place. El Dorado seems far more interested in feeding people well than impressing them with presentation. And honestly, that's probably part of the reason Austin loves it so much. Go when you can avoid the biggest crowds. Order the queso. Explore the salsas. Don't overlook the beans and rice. Show up hungry. The food is hearty, the people are kind, and the restaurant knows exactly what it is. In a city where so many places are trying to become something, there's something refreshing about a place that already has.

THAT PLACE IS THE BEST". Located off Mopac and Anderson in North Central Austin, this beloved tex-mex restaurant is situated in a relatively aged shopping strip less than half a mile from the highway. Parking is ample and available so there should be no issues with access getting to the restaurant. Although easy to get to, it's a whole different story getting into the restaurant. First and foremost, they are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Secondly, they are so popular that you should almost always expect a wait. The pro move here is to book a reservation, but if you don't have one - anticipate waiting anywhere between 30 - 90 minutes in order to get in. Once in, you have the option to pick from a variety of tex-mex cuisine, including some local house specials such as the "crunchwrap supreme" which has an interesting backlore related to Taco Bell. Free chips and salsa (choose up to two salsas to try) land as soon as you arrive. El Dorado is known for its vegan tex-mex offerings so those with more particular diets will certainly be able to find something that works. The salsas are tasty. The serving portions are large. The flavors are good - there's really not too much to complain about once you're in and seated.

The guacamole was mostly just avocado but they put pickled veggies with it and it will light you up! Our server was super sweet and did a good job and the place was slammed. It was SXSW weekend so all of the extra crazies were in town. The churros do not get cooked inside. They were wet and gummy. We mentioned to the manager and she was very apologetic and replaced them immediately. They were still raw inside but they were already removed from our ticket. The house margaritas were very good! Like I said, it was a crazy, busy weekend so the DJ had the tunes bumping really loudly. Not sure if it's always this way but with concrete ceilings and floors it was loud. Hard to hear server and each other. I'd still go back for the food.

I ordered 2 steak tacos and horchata, both very delicious. The horchata is milky and sweet but not crazy sweet, and topped off with cinnamon. The steak tacos came out pretty hot, fresh from the grill. I got them on corn tortillas and I'm glad I did: idk if they make them in house but somebody in some house is making these because they definitely aren't store bought, and if they are I want to know where! I tried the orange habanero and creamy serrano salsas. The habanero was spicy off the bat, while the serrano had more of a lingering burn. Both paired well with the steak. They have a little bar, too, though I did not imbibe this time. Seems like they have a decent selection of agave spirits, and even Campari behind the bar (iykyk). Give them a shot, and thank the ladies in the kitchen.
