Vegetarians: try the apple, arugula, cheddar, and honey mustard sandwich. (It usually comes with harvest bread, but I opted for sourdough). The bread was crusty and fresh (You can watch the bakers in action!). The white cheddar was sharp, the honey mustard thick and spicy, and the sweet-salty flavors worked well together. I had no idea eating that much arugula could be so pleasurable. At lunch last Friday, the bakery was packed and noisy. But head out the back door for a more serene (even romantic) meal. Very disappointed with a recent Rye Bread purchase, it was purchased at Bedford Whole foods and the taste was awful, with a strong truffle like smell. After examining the bread we noticed there were black soggy lumps of something unidentifiable baked in the bottom of the loaf. This was absolutely inedible. Having shopped at Nashoba Brook since it opened and weekly bought their rye bread, this was a real disappointment. I expect there was a problem with the storage of the flour so I need to bring this to attention of the store and shoppers to examine the bread and give it a sniff test before purchasing. Whatever the problem was, I hope it is fixed and the bakery staff has been instructed to check the ingredients before baking. This definitely put us off rye bread so we have been buying the whole wheat since then. read more

I was in Concord, MA for an entire week for training and a meeting. This was our source of caffeine. Hard to really talk about the service, cause we had a running tab here, so they had to treat us well. lol Drinks were alright, but pastries oh my. They had quite the assortment and a decent assortment of bread too. This might be a hidden gem of sorts, but it always seemed to be packed even though it's located in this industrial building in the back of a parking lot alleyway with no signage. Nashoba Brook Bakery is an unexpectedly nice spot to enjoy lunch if you happen to be in the vicinity of West Concord. The specialty sandwich menu is extensive (though not expensive), with interesting choices that made me curious enough to want to come back again. I had the sundried tomato & olive tapenade with soft goat cheese, baby spinach, and fresh tomato on olive bread. The olive bread alone was a feast for the eyes, and the flavors were as good as I could have hoped for. I also had an ample-sized double cappuccino served in a proper sort of cup. I sat outside at one of the picnic tables and enjoyed the beautiful Fall foliage. It's nothing fancy; it's just a good sandwich shop with interesting choices and excellent bread. I have no complaints. Other selections that sound interesting (but that I have not yet tried) were the curried chicken salad with pecans, red grapes, and cilantro on sourdough. Or the harvest chicken salad with dried cranberries, apricots, and walnuts on french. Or the sweet pea guacamole, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and mesculin on seven grain. I love coming to this place to meet with friends or family. The location is gorgeous - old wood and a great view of a river and a bridge just behind. They have great lattes, and I love the curry chicken sandwich they do quite a bit. I'm sure a big part of why their sandwiches taste as good as they do is the fact that they bake everything on-site, so you get that amazing flavor wrapped around whatever you order. I've gotten rolls from here before for Thanksgiving, and they were well-liked. read more

We stopped in here for the first time the other day and I ordered a Ruben and my son ordered a grilled cheese. He loved his grilled cheese! My Ruben was also delicious especially on their fresh bread! I felt my sandwich was very over priced based on its $11.00 price tag for such a small sandwich I ended up leaving hungry so I had to buy a loaf of bread on my way out. My sons grilled cheese was a fair price. Based on flavor I would rate it a five stars but due to how I also include value in my ratings I think a four is more than fair. This place always manages to surprise me with new and interesting ways of messing up the experience. I'm not sure why they make so many chaotic and seemingly arbitrary bad choices. I only go here when everything else in W Concord is closed. Today I ordered a ham and egg on croissant sandwich from the menu board to go. I got back to my car and opened the box to find: a slice of ham, an egg, and a croissant all neatly separated. WHY! Last time I was there I ordered a large cold brew (which the guy behind the counter was really obnoxiously pushing) and they said they don't have Large they only have small and another size smaller that isn't on display (okay) and they gave it to me with no ice (which is weird) so I asked for ice and they said they don't put ice in their cold brew (okay) so I asked for a larger cup with ice in it and they give me some ice in the same size cup that I already have (okay) so now they've wasted two cups and lids and my time when they could have just given me a large with ice and saved the hassle and bad experience. Every time I come here it's something weird. Every sandwich comes with a really sad "garnish" of a flavorless slice of orange and a few chunks of undercooked potato. The place is also laid out really badly so you somehow always feel like you're in the way. None of these things are individually enough to stop coming but after a while I have to question who the hell is making these decisions. At least the bread is good. read more

I am in love with this spot. Lots of sandwich options that can be customized, although the roast beef (#7 I believe) is my favorite. I have called ahead to order several times when I am in a hurry, but I love sitting at one of the cozy spots to eat and people watch. I have also purchased breads to take home which are equally as good as the sandwiches! The bakery case is also nice when you are looking to treat yourself. Staff is always friendly! Only drawback is that parking can be difficult, but I can usually find a spot on the street if the lot is full. read more

I am a fan. It is a nice place to come and sit down over coffee/tea with friends. I like the tables and couches in the back. The breads are all very fresh and appear to be made on the premises.
